### 4/5 — No OTP sent but random numbers work!

*2026-07-29, version 1.4.9*

Seems like an ok app. It’s essentially a player that will allow you to open a second music or podcast app at the same time. It contains a number of looped beats sorted by genre. *updated* there is a slider to adjust bpm which can be very useful. I have actually started to use this way more with audiobooks which helps with motivation for a far longer time than music alone. I have recommended it to several friends

### 2/5 — Unnecessary grabbing info

*2026-05-09, version 1.4.6*

Why do I need to give my phone number and accept text messages before I can even review/see what the apps about. This is why I randomly get text messages from spammers. You don’t need this info. At least not in this beginning phase. Will rather not use app.

### 4/5 — No OTP sent but random numbers work!

*2026-05-01, version 1.4.6*

Seems like an ok app. It’s essentially a player that will allow you to open a second music or podcast app at the same time. It contains a number of looped beats sorted by genre. Could be improved by giving BPM of each loop or allowing you to adjust the BPM yourself. Probably not worth the amount they want for a subscription (about £4pm)

### 1/5 — SMS code doesn’t arrive

*2026-04-22, version 1.4.6*

It’s impossible to try this app, it requires your phone number first thing and when you enter it it claims that the app will send you a code, but the code never arrives (UK number). No alternative method is offered. Absolutely useless.

### 4/5 — Too Expensive

*2026-04-13, version 1.4.5*

Cool idea but it’s not something I’m going to pay an annual or monthly subscription for. Charge me a one time $1-5 and call it good, not doing another subscription model. Also, they make you give up your phone number before telling you the cost, somewhat shady.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-04-04, version 1.4.4*

Code to install didn’t arrive

Waste of time

### 1/5 — Don’t Bother

*2026-04-04, version 1.4.4*

First they require your phone number, and force you to agree to receive spam text messages,. Then you can’t even try or see the app unless you subscribe to it with a monthly fee. This has all the signs of a scammer app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2026-03-24, version 1.4.4*

You can’t register because the OTP doesn’t get sent. Waste of time, don’t bother.

### 3/5 — I dont fully understand

*2026-02-08, version 1.4.0*

I think its a well intentioned idea but when i listening to a podcast, i dont want to be listening to music.

However I did try it anyway and was disappointed I could not use my own music.

The beats/music built into the app is bad and very repetitive.

### 1/5 — Can’t get past startup

*2025-12-26, version 1.3.6*

Update still doesn’t work. The app asks for a phone number to text a login code but I never receive the code.

### 1/5 — Can’t get past startup

*2025-11-24*

The app asks for a phone number to text a login code but I never receive the text.

### 1/5 — Needs your phone number

*2024-10-25, version 1.2.4*

Seemed like a cool concept but why would they need my phone number? I would rather just pay for the app than have them use my number for whatever they need it for.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-03-24, version 1.2.1*

Sadly, I couldn’t get it to play anything. There must be a bug somewhere.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — can’t get past the paywall

*2026-08-10, version 1.5.0*

i thought there’d be a free version with ads. ig not. it won’t let me go forward without trying the “trial”

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-07-17, version 1.4.9*

They employ a data capture model that acquires your email address then ask you to pay for a subscription to use the app. Even if you don’t subscribe they are still selling your email address and name.

Why not out the pricing up front?!

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-07-07, version 1.4.9*

I managed to get the OTP to be immediately greeted by a pop up asking me to subscribe, with no option to close the pop up. Not a chance I’m gunna start paying before I’ve had a chance to see if the app works, what the UX is like, or if it is worth the money. Removed the app straight away - what a shame.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-06-29, version 1.4.8*

You can’t register an account so you can’t use the app. Don’t bother downloading until they fix this

### 1/5 — No more subscriptions

*2026-05-23, version 1.4.6*

Requires phone number and committing to receive texts before it shows you the price. Unable to even try without committing to a subscription. It’s an interesting concept. Would pay a single fee, but I’m done with subscriptions.

### 1/5 — SMS never received

*2026-05-17, version 1.4.6*

Can’t get the app to work, no text received.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-05-11, version 1.4.6*

Code to activate never arrives, shouldn't even be on the app store at this point

### 1/5 — Too slow

*2026-05-11, version 1.4.6*

Max beat is 130 bpm. Most runners use 160-180 bpm when running.

### 1/5 — Can’t even open?

*2026-05-09, version 1.4.6*

I can’t even open app when I do it prompts me to try some add for their add ons. I can’t click out or do anything it soft locks me at the start. What a joke of UI

### 1/5 — No code sent to phone

*2026-05-03, version 1.4.6*

Advertisement seem liked a good idea. Never received sign up code via text

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Feedback is Everything

*2026-06-28, version 1.4.8*

Turning a Podcast into music for my playlist has been so cool. And it even lets me email the Founders of the App to make suggestions. I wanted a certain music Best style and they added it when I asked which is so fun. Love the Podbeat App and I’m using it for Audiobooks too which I hadn’t done before.

### 5/5 — Lot of variety but good for just background

*2026-06-11, version 1.4.8*

Honestly I find myself just listening to the beat while doing work or chores, no lyrics to distract me

### 5/5 — Music integration into busy lives

*2026-06-11, version 1.4.8*

Very clever idea, allows, multitasking, specifically listening to podcasts, for example, while breaking out in a sweat on a stairmaster or treadmill…. supported by an upbeat, motivating groove.

### 5/5 — Podcasts, but Give Them Gainz

*2025-08-19*

We host Nacho Fitness Coach, so trust us—we know boring cardio when we hear it. Podbeat fixes that by dropping beats under podcasts so suddenly you’re vibing through burpees instead of crying through them. It’s like pre-workout for your ears.

### 5/5 — Podbeat: The Soundtrack to Deeper Learning 🎶🧠

*2024-12-28, version 1.2.5*

As the host of The Wellness Driven Life Show, and founder of Driven Livin', I'm always looking for ways to make your listening experience richer and more impactful. Podbeat helps me do just that! This app lets you add a personalized soundtrack to any podcast, and I can't recommend it enough for enhancing your journey with The Wellness Driven Life Show.

Why? Because music is more than just entertainment. Neuroscience shows that music can actually help solidify new information and deepen your understanding. Think of it as creating the perfect atmosphere for those "aha!" moments. ✨

With Podbeat, you're not just listening passively – you're actively engaging with the content in a whole new way. Give it a try and elevate your learning experience! 🎧

### 5/5 — why hasn’t anyone done this yet?!!

*2024-11-24, version 1.2.4*

theres tons of traffic in LA and podcasts have been a lifesaver seeing im driving hours every day

this app made my go to worlds better! 5 stars

### 5/5 — Get knowledge and energy at the same time.

*2023-11-08, version 1.0.9*

If you’re like me and you do cardio or are on the move through a big city when listening to podcasts, then, putting a beat in the background of any podcast, will boost your energy.

If you’re a runner or a cycler, then you no longer have to choose between music to motivate you, and an interesting talk. I listened to Musk’s latest interview on Rogan, with a dance beat in the background. And I got knowledge and energy at the same time.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2023-07-25, version 1.0.8*

I was pessimistic about how much i’ll use/like the app but it was surprisingly good. i never knew how slow podcast go but this made it less painful to listen to when am on a long driving session! highly recommend!!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-06-26, version 1.0.8*

I don’t go anywhere Al without this product. Makes my daily routine better!

### 5/5 — Laundry!

*2023-05-27, version 1.0.7*

This has helped me with tasks so much. I dance around to a beat with a podcast while I fold clothes, take a long walk, even cook! Love it!
