With Geoff’s calm, warm voice and delightful descriptive scenes, it feels like the same comfort I got from my parents reading me bedtime stories when I was little. Makes me feel safe and alls right with the world. Fills me with warmth and comfort, great way to wind down for sleep. Charming little stories. Only reason I took off a star was it’s started, somewhat regularly, getting stuck in a buffering loop (often if another app interrupts & pauses it) at which point you have to restart to get it to play again. Stop it! ### 1/5 — Ads don’t close, have to restart app *2026-06-25, version 7.8.0* I’ve really liked this app in the past but the past couple months the number of ads has skyrocketed and they hijack your phone and don’t give you an option to close out of them. The only way to get out of the ad and back to the app itself is to restart the app completely. It’s truly unusable. Scanning other reviews, it seems like many others are having this problem, despite the company saying this is an unexpected occurrence that shouldn’t be happening. If this many people are bringing it up and it hasn’t been addressed I’m interpreting that as a deliberate choice. My all time favourite app was Sticher, but with its demise, I'm finding this app well worth a subscription. Clean interface, doesnt bug out, and isnt laden woth features just to plump out The sub charges.
