But usually cuts off the end of the show. Hopefully they fix this issue, but is over a year old issue. ### 3/5 — Weird CarPlay issues *2026-06-01, version 4.16.1* Works ok. Latency starting up and it won’t work on CarPlay unless you unlock your phone. Kind of defeats the purpose of CarPlay. One annoyance, the app auto quits if not used for more than ten minutes or so. I have to then restart it, and it does remember where I left off, but it’s irritating. Also, not all podcasts seem to update new episodes as fast as competitors. Otherwise, solid app. Thanks. ### 2/5 — Good start, needs improvement *2024-12-16, version 4.16.1* Simply put: it takes way too long for podcasts to update. I’m still waiting for new episodes to populate in my feed when they’ve been available for listen or download for a day or more on other platforms. Other than that major deal-breaking problem it looks great, runs fine, and is intuitive and easy to operate. If one does not mind that it is effectively a broken app when it comes to timely availability of content, then this is probably the app for you. This app will probably be in the Top-3 podcasts apps once they can correct this issue. Until then there’s no reason to use an app which will only be reliably late with content. ### 3/5 — Should be better for paying customers *2024-10-12, version 4.16.1* Depending on WiFi or just what’s going on at their end, podcast episodes won’t show up in the list (yes, WITH the correct filter). Lots of errors when downloading the episodes to the app, if I had to guess maybe 33% of the episodes have errors or the download offloads so I have to redownload (and yes, I don’t have “delete after listening” enabled). Marking an episode as played requires a subscription. Uninstalled and not recommended. ### 1/5 — deletes episodes *2025-02-07, version 4.16.1* ive had this app on android, iphone and havocOS.. same problem, episodes i download just disappear ### 1/5 — Pushy advertising *2024-09-19, version 4.16.1* I get it. The creators of the app want you to upgrade to premium, but they don’t have to blast the advertising volume at you. When you do upgrade premium it just makes the advertising silent in the middle of the podcast, instead of getting rid of the advertising. Their doesn’t seem to be a way to end your account on the app. ### 1/5 — CarPlay keeps crashing! *2024-05-14, version 4.16.1* I think this started about three weeks ago with the latest update. I can listen via CarPlay in the background (i.e. with the default car screen up), but when I switch to the CarPlay screen, Podverse crashes 100% of the time. That coupled with the fact that some of my podcasts say that “no episodes could be found,” has me looking for a better podcast 2.0 app. ### 1/5 — Ads are terrible *2023-11-16, version 4.14.3* So disgusting to hear a planned parenthood ad before a pro life podcast. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get it to download or play any episodes. Really disappointing. This will tell you it’s updated but not display the podcast. Goodbye ### 1/5 — Very disappointing, two steps forward and two steps back *2022-06-29* I am very excited with the possibilities and potential of podcasting 2.0. While this app offers some exciting New features such as chapters, displaying album art, lightning payments etc. it is missing the most core functionality for a podcasting app and in my opinion is inexcusable. First even though I have downloaded Podcasts it still needs to connect to the Internet for some unknown reason to access my content making ti useless when off grid. Second, I’ve been using this app for at least six months and they still haven’t fixed The issue where it doesn’t save your place in a podcast and you have to scroll through to find where you were. Both of these are dealbreaker‘s for me from a usability standpoint. Easy to navigate, quick downloads, and a deep access to transcripts and searches. When I am listening to a podcast and have the player open, I would love to be able to swipe down to go back to the previous menu, instead of having to reach all the way to the top left to click the back button. All of the other podcast apps I use have this, to the point where this app stands out because it doesn’t.
