## What is Poesi?

Poesi offers a collection of English and German poetry from the Middle Ages all the way to the 20th century. The app contains over 1300 German and over 1000 English poems, all carefully selected and in quotable form for scientific use. You can select a poetry language after the first app launch and expand the app via In-App purchase to read poems in the other language afterwards.

You can find original German versions of poems by Goethe, Schiller, Heine, Eichendorff, Hesse, Lasker-Schüler and English poems by Whitman, Blake, Wordsworth and many more – the collection is constantly growing. Poesi also features full-text search, filtering options as well as both a „Random poem“ and a „Poem of the day“ function. The underlying database is accessible offline and new poems can by synchronized free of charge.

### 1/5 — iOS Bug - unbrauchbare App

Leider funktionieren die fundamentalen Funktionen wie die Buttons „poem of the day“ sowie „random poem“ nicht. 

Dh. Man darf sich manuell in der Datenbank nach Jahrhundert, dann nach Autorennamen sortiert ein Poem aussuchen. Blöd nur, dass man sich nicht immer merken kann wo man nun schon drauf geklickt hatte und welche Gedichte bereits gelesen wurden. 

Dafür dass es nur die Option gibt die App mit Kauf herunterzuladen war das leider Ausbeutung. Rundum nicht zu gebrauchen. 

Anfragen wurden per Mail leider nicht beantwortet. Wenn die Bugs behoben werden überarbeite ich die Rezension.

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich rein auf die technische Seite dieser Applikation: Die Home Seite funktioniert nicht. 
Weder kann man Knopf „Random Poem“, noch „Poem of the Day“ klicken, am schlimmsten aber, die Suchfunktion ist auch kaputt. Es ist etwas nervig, jedes mal durch das gesamte Register zu gehen, um zu einer bestimmten Person/poem zu gelangen. Vielleicht behebt der Entwickler diese kleinen nuisances, auch wenn Entwicklung sonst eingefroren scheint.

Eine wunderschöne App die Dichtkunst aus dem frühen Mittelalter bis in die Moderne zeigt. Es gibt ein Gedicht des Tages, man kann ein zufälliges Gedicht gezeigt bekommen. Oder nach Jahrhunderten oder nach Dichtern stöbern. Wundervoll!!! So etwas hat gefehlt!

I installed the app out of curiosity - and wouldn‘t like to miss it any more. Beginning or ending the day with a poem refreshes or calmes the mind and the soul and prepares like a coffee in the morning or calms like a class of wine (cup of milo) in the evening.

Nach einem anfänglichen Problem beim Laden der Datenbanken funktioniert jetzt alles wie versprochen. Guter, schneller und persönlicher Support!

...auch wenn man sie vergrößern kann, ist auf dem 12er iPad viel zu winzig. Platz wäre genug vorhanden..- 🧐🤷🏼‍♂️🙄🤨

Aktuell ist die Schriftart nur auf die vorhandene maximale Größe vergrößerbar, weil so auch Gedichte mit langen Versen auf dem iPad optimal formatiert werden. Es wird aber an einer Implementierung von Dynamic Type gearbeitet.

Funktioniert alles

iphone SE, neuestes iOS. Der einzige  Reiter mit Daten ist ‚Dichter‘ Alles andere ist leer. Favoriten bekommen ein rotes Herz werden aber nicht gezeigt in ‚Favoriten‘. Tägliches Gedicht usw. passiert nix beim daraufklicken. Such geht aber ohne Autovervollständigung. Texte in Settings abgeschnitten. Keine Ahnung was da stehen soll. ‚Filter‘ nicht exiszent. Weisser Screen. Bitte fixen dann mehr Sterne.

Leider ist es mir seit Wochen nicht möglich, die Gedichte des Tages abzurufen oder auch die zufälligen Gedichte. Jedes Mal, wenn ich einen der Buttons anklicke passiert leider nichts.
