I updated my payment info., but I still can’t resubscribe due to some weird glitch on the resubscription button. I have written something to support 3 times with no results. I probably got it when it was new because back then you weren’t able to publish a book so they’ve come a long way. I love everything about it. I just have one issue and that’s not being able to upload my own illustrations. The app only provides so many pictures and I don’t want to use what’s already been used by another writer. If they updated the app allowing us to update our illustration this app would get the full five for me. I love the community and how supportive everyone is. God awful. Fix it so it at least states ‘in app purchases’ or something more realistic like ‘give us all your money just to use this app’. If I could give this 0 stars…I would. Now, you have to pay to publish. Can’t look at my drafts, can’t look at profiles, and most of the people I use to follow have now left the app due to the subscription service that is forced for you to enjoy the app. I would have rather watched some ads for you guys to make your money over you restricting from practically doing anything without paying. And yes, I’ve read your excuses for why you “needed” to add a subscription service. “Excuses” being the key word in that sentence. Yikes! Even with a paid subscription, I can’t post anything because there’s a grey bar in the middle of the screen that blocks it. I write maybe five words. Some users need violence and sexual therapy not poetry. ### 5/5 — lots of fun + good for confidence *2025-10-03* the communities on poetizer are mostly positive and supportive, which is always nice to find in poetry. the timeline feature brings me new poets daily, and encourages communion between me and people i follow. i enjoy the ability to connect, chat, and share my thoughts with other writers. it is a safe space to share work as well. there has been complaint of AI bots but i think its a projection of violence against the em dash more than anything else 😅 and some people don’t get the likes they feel they deserve. i wonder sometimes how it would fare to have the like button but not display the number of likes. either way, having lots of fun and it is worth the $2/month if you are serious about getting feedback on your work and growing your readership. ### 5/5 — It’s not working *2025-03-27, version 3.1.3* I literally love this app but is saying I don’t have any posted things and I can’t see anyone’s poems. I’d say, Poetizer has done that, with the exception of scaring people off with their subscriptions. Like seriously? A poetry app, you have to pay to post poems? Like just say you don’t want people using your app, and move on. Same thing with the community. Why is it so boring? There are great people on this app, but quite literally, nothing to do. Give the app challenges, and something to build the poetry community, so more people come to find it. It’s really stale though. This app has the potential to be yhe best poetry app there is, but it’s plain. Boring. You lose interest, far before you even get to paying the subscription. It wants me to do the free trial. That’s An X. I can’t like either. I can’t even make a poem. I had it before, but deleted it, and at that time, it was free. I could make poems. I could like. I could even comment. But not now. It’s like in some apps. Their free at one time, then not free, at one time. I’m only 10 so I don’t know much about this stuff like paying money, and free trials, and subscriptions. But, I don’t expect a 7 year old, wanting to write poems, be disappointed because some app, isn’t free. I was 9 when I found this. I loved it! I either had not enough storage or I just deleted it. I met someone on there, and had the best poems! We became friends and stuff. But I can’t remember her username! But that’s not the point. I’m just saying that this app, can crush a 7 year olds dreams, to become famous, when they can’t. ### 5/5 — Great app, but. *2023-08-04* It’s the only one that’s specifically this concept on the market. The only reason I ever got the app was so I could catalogue my poetry and keep it somewhere dedicated to that. I can’t pay the subscription. Really disappointed. I get that you have to do it because you need money, but also, it’s not like most of that money is actually going to the app or the app developers anyway. I’m really disappointed that we’re putting something this uniting behind a paywall just so that the ceos can make a quick buck. I can’t pay the subscription this month, because I’m moving across the country in a couple days, but by the time we get payed again I’ll have already lost all my data and my account. But if you can pay the subscription, it’s a good app in of itself. It’s accessible, and easy to navigate and learn. I really like the setup with how it catalogues poetry into your profile as a list that you can scroll through. Really gonna miss that feature. But, you know.
