Does not save anything I write. Three different projects on three different occasions. Each time I reopen the app, poof... no saved documents. Paying the $0.99 does NOT unlock the app. It is a useful tool, but you cannot save your work. ### 1/5 — What A Joke *2020-02-10, version 2.0* Downloaded this today and was very excited as it seemed to be the most simple interface for quickly jotting down drafts of poems. I wrote four drafts in quick succession, paid the 99¢ to upgrade. Opened it a few hours later to continue working and all my work was GONE. Also it doesn’t seem to register that you paid for the upgrade. Terrible. ### 1/5 — Still Waiting *2020-01-03, version 2.0* Why is this still on the App Store? 2020 And still bad reviews. I believe that I might have gotten the app in 2016 for free, which is something I rarely do. But I just checked my purchase history and there was a zero charge in my account back in 2016. If the reviews were better, I would reconsider downloading the app again and paying for it, even if it were more expensive. But it seems like the developer is not listening to his customers. So why should I bother? I’m reminded of the way we used to write in the “olden” days. Pen and paper. Simple, it works, and there are no subscriptions. You can even add an eraser, crayons, pencil, and more. Ahhhhh. Here’s my old review in case you’re bored: 2016 I'm still waiting for this app to do what it says it's supposed to do. I bought it a very long time ago and it was not functioning because all I would see was a blank screen. Now it's been at least a year that I haven't used it. It just sits in my cloud, waiting patiently for me to download again. But I ain't doing it unless there's somebody up there fixing it. I think at this point it's utterly hopeless. Too bad I will never get my hard earned money back. Why isn't there a law against this type of crime? At least the developer should respond to the complaints on here. Maybe people would feel better. I haven't found any other app that suggests rhymes based on a specified scheme AND counts syllables per line. My only complaint is that the app keeps forgetting that I paid the $0.99 for unlimited poems, and because of that, it clears my poems that are "over the limit". Other than that, great app! ### 4/5 — Great app only one thing I would add *2015-01-23, version 1.3.0* Great app one thing I would add One thing I like about this app is that you can write your poems on your phone and other people can see your poems and give you feed back on your poem. I also like that you can hear everything that you write and see if you like how it sounds without having to read it. This is better than any other app like Pocket Poetry because other apps just let you write your poem and to be honest you can do that on notes on your iPhone I would rate this app a four stars because this app is good but if this app would have a place to revise it this app would be better. ### 4/5 — An excellent application... *2013-11-01, version 1.3.0* I would give this application a 5-star rating however, there is a bit of an issue with the application. When I type a poem and the words "go off the page" there is no way of reading those words. Maybe you should have it where the text wraps. Once that small issue is fix I will change to 5-star. ### 3/5 — Lots of potential... *2013-06-07, version 1.0.0* Great idea! A tutorial would help, I can rhyme all day, but aligning the stanzas however you've got that setup isn't very self-explanatory. Impressed with vast amount of rhyming words presented when it runs properly. Disappointed there's a lack of landscape functionality; most of my poems aren't haikus and could benefit from the extra screen real estate...especially since it's an developed on the foundation of actually writing. Cutting & copying seems to throw app for a loop and seems sensitive when trying to accomplish tasks associated with those basic operations (cutting & copying). Happy to support developer and spend the buck for ability to save, although a little more could be provided to the paying user. I genuinely look forward to updates and more from this developer.
