## What is Pogg Lite?

A free lite version of Pogg - a cute game for kids aged 1-8. It stars a little green alien who can do all sorts of things: run, hop, sing, go to the moon, and heaps more!

"It is without doubt one of the best games for kids I have seen in the App Store. It is creative and useful, and just plain fun." (iPhone Footprint review)

There are 2 modes in Pogg:
Spelling Mode presents you with the simple question, "What should Pogg do now?", and allows you to type anything you want. Type in "hat", and you will get a short animated movie of Pogg putting on a hat. Type in "drive a car", and Pogg will do that too!

Picture Mode presents all of the Pogg animations as little icons that you can play by simply touching the picture. This works well for kids too young to spell words, and also acts as a dictionary of the different things that Pogg can do.

This free version of Pogg is fully featured but with fewer actions than the full version. The full version of Pogg currently has 34 unique actions, covered by a spelling dictionary of a bit over 380 word/phrase combinations.

My students love Pogg! We went ahead and bought the full version for a $1 on sale, money well spent!  Not only is Pogg just really cute, the app focuses on basic vocabulary in a kid-friendly format (easy to navigate, visual icons).  Nothing negative to say.
