## What is Points?

Points is a Virgin Atlantic rewards seat search that's quick and easy to find well-priced reward seats for you to spend your points on.

We track every single cabin, for every single route, for every single day, in the entire 11-month booking window.

Virgin's 'saver seats' have a little red tag next to them, so you can spot them easily.

You can save flights or trips, so you can come back to them. If you subscribe to Points Plus, we can send you notifications when their prices change.

If you're trying to figure out the best time to book your seats, you can scrub through 1 or 2 weeks of price history charts, or if you subscribe to Points Plus, up to 11 months of history.

'Taxes and fees' shows you an estimate of what you'd pay on top of your points for a given trip. 'Value per point' shows Plus users how much each point is saving versus the cash fare.

Also in Points Plus: natural language search, so you can use your own words to describe what you're looking for, and Points will give you its best bets.

Points is iOS-first and is built to be as straightforward as possible, designed around Liquid Glass.

Points is not affiliated with (or endorsed by) Virgin Atlantic.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-20

iPhone Duo and iPad are now supported. 'Taxes and fees' shows you an estimate of what you'd pay on top of your points for a given trip. 'Value per point' shows Plus users how much each point is saving versus the cash fare. Your trip type (One Way / Round Trip / Intelligent) is now saved between app launches. The slightly janky search panel scroll transition has been fixed. Plus assorted behind-the-scenes bits.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-03

Refined design throughout the app: icons, margins, spacing, corner concentricity, you name it. Smoother transitions and faster trip type switching. Intelligent search now shows its progress as it works, and you can see the searches it's making. I taught its autocorrect airport codes now too, so it won't incorrectly correct them when you're typing. Added a shortcut to your saved flights: swipe in from the left edge. And, of course, a handful of bug fixes.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-08-11

Introducing Points Plus: price history, saved flights, notifications when prices drop, and search in your own words.

### 0.3.0 — 2026-04-27

Results are now faster across all searches. Searches with no month selected now show seats across all available dates. Your origin airport is also saved between app launches. Plus, a handful of bug fixes.

### 0.2.0 — 2026-04-15

Round trip point totals are now marked as approximate, since seats are priced differently when booked as a round-trip vs two separate one-way bookings. A one-time note explains this when you first switch to round trip search. Also fixed a bug where searching for round trips in the last available month could return an error.
