### 1/5 — Won’t honor a bet even after reaching out for clarification

They wouldn’t honor a Masters wager even though I reached out and spent a lengthy chat with one of their agents before the match was over. Was given wrong info from their agent and even after that, they still wouldn’t honor the wager. We’re not talking a huge wager either I question how they’d react to large wagers. 

Also their live betting algorithm is designed to hurt bettors. I’ve made multiple live betting wagers and the moment I hit ‘submit’, the odds change to a less favorable payout. Never once a MORE favorable payout. I went as far as checking the very exact minute/second I hit submit and neither team possessions changed nor did the score change so there’s no reason a bet should go from +200 to +110 unless your screwing your players. My next step is filing a complaint with the FCC. STAY AWAY! I just gave you two reasons not to trust this sportsbook. Don’t give them more. They can take their $1-$3 free bets they hand out like platinum players it’s a joke.

I have been using pointsbet for about a year now and have been fairly happy with it. However, just recently they stopped actually offering “pointsbetting” type bets without any notice. They just stoped offering them. I reached out to the app support and they told me “Due to Fanatics Sportsbook's recent acquisition of PointsBet, the PointsBet app will not be offering PointsBetting in New York”.…. So a company whose whole sales pitch is the “pointsbetting” type bets they offer, so much so that it’s their company name, doesn’t actually offer these type of bets anymore? That doesn’t make a lot of sense… and the worst part is they won’t give any further detail as to why they all the sudden stopped offering this betting market. Without the pointsbetting market, this app really loses its whole purpose and becomes, at best, a middling, run of the mill, sportsbook app. I would recommend any of the other main sportsbook apps over this app just due to the non-transparency I have encountered recently.

They wouldn’t honor a Masters wager even though I reached out and spent a lengthy chat with one of their agents before the match was over. The agent answered me by informing me I’d win the full bet and then after I won the bet, I was paid half of what I would have been paid had I been given the correct information and cashed out at the time of discussion. Then they point me to their rules and after spending an hour chatting with a manager, they still wouldn’t honor the misinformation their own agents gave and I’m not talking about thousands of bucks folks. We’re talking a couple hundred dollars. I’ve also had winning wagers that they marked as a loss, I had to contact them to have it corrected, so I’m not sure what kind of sports book needs to be double checked. Meanwhile, the only sports book I know that if you’re a Platinum member,  PointsBet honors that tier by throwing ‘free’ bets into your account in the amount of……wait for it……. $2, $1, I mean it’s a joke. Insulting even. So take your lack of integrity and insulting free bets and stick it.

I joined this app a little over a month ago and absolutely loved it spent 1000s on there. Then one day I get a message saying I was awarded $500 bonus bets for being a valued customer and it made me like the site even more. I split up my bonus bets into 4 and was ready to use them on the baseball game the following day. Then I log on the next day see them for about 10 or so minutes go to use them and all of sudden they are gone. I was very upset seeing as I enjoyed this app a lot. I thought it was a mistake and contacted support and they just kept spamming me with their “terms of service” and how they reserve the right to take anyone bonus bets for any reason whatsoever and would leave the chat “Dwight and George” their names were. They gave $10 as a good will gesture to make up for it like that even comes remotely close to the $500. It was just the worst experience I’ve had on any gambling site and would recommend staying away. And I definitely recommend reading people’s experiences online before joining because there are extremely shady things that have happened to others aswell as me. Unless they can make up for it by returning those bets or giving a reasonable “good will gesture” I will be withdrawing my winnings and closing my account.

This has to be one of the most lopsided casino apps there are. I don’t care how much they say it’s regulated and fair. I even tried keeping  my wager at a low so I can get the maximum number of spins to increase the probability of a bonus round. But those bonus rounds are so few and far between that it’s almost insulting. Like I understand there’s always going to be a risk with these apps, but in the same sentence, that risk is also has the same opportunity to be a reward. 

It’s partly my own fault for continuing to think that I’m gonna have any other result besides a losing one. It literally feels like I have cinderblocks around my ankles as I immediately sink to a 0 balance. I have had maybe one or two positive experiences on this app, outside of that, it’s been such a disappointing app that I had high aspirations for. Customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes you will have an agent that will hear you out but the majority of the time you’re either dismissed or given some generic copy and paste reply.

This is the 4th or 5th Sportsbook I joined (I join whenever I see a generous promo for new customers) and appreciated the free second chance bet for joining. I lost my first $100 wager but made up for it and more with a parlay the next day using the bonus bet. I also received a promo for a free $100 bet for making 5 $20 bets over week long period, which I took full advantage of. Another thing I appreciate are the free daily bonus bets (for parlays only). It’s only $1, but it’s still a nice gesture. I recently went back to using this book after one of my $1 bonus bets hit on a 4-leg parlay, netting me over $30. My one complaint about this book is that the odds seem to trend slightly worse than most others, although occasionally I’ll see slightly better odds on PB. It’s not really a big deal, as it’s usually only 5-10 points difference. App looks nice and is easy to use.

Where to start.. 

Let’s start with logging in… difficult is an understatement. I live in indiana and 90% of the time it tries to log me into Michigan, Illinois or Ohio.. then you try to log out and it uses your Face ID and again logs you into the wrong state. After about 4-5 tries you can get the chance to pick the correct state. Don’t even bother with two-factor it makes this even more difficult. 

Customer service is rude and unwilling to correct their mistakes in the app. A lot of time you will be on the homepage and it shows the home team on the bottom, then click in to make bets and it flips them. Home team is now on top. Then home team is on the left on vertical bets. Or sometimes you click in and home teams are in the bottom then the right. They have acknowledged that it is a mistake and it has led to me unknowingly clicking the wrong side when making a bet. They don’t do anything about it and say it is the betters job to double check their bets. Every time you click a game it is different. 

There are so many better apps out there, this platform offers nothing better. They don’t even have boosted bets in their boosted bets section. 

Stay away, they don’t care about your experience.

Player beware… if you’re looking for a site that hardly gives free spins, this is the site for you! If you want to know what it’s like to waste your money, you’ve come to the right place! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to play on a site that holds your withdrawals in hopes that you cancel? This is the site for you! If you’re ever wondered what it’s like to play through thousands of dollars and only receive a $1 free bet, you can’t go wrong here! If you have EVER thought to yourself “what is the absolute worst site that I can gamble on?” I promise, you won’t find worse! Just check out the reviews for New Jersey, because it seems like the reviews on here don’t compare but the play definitely replicates!

Absolute joke of a book that will try and do everything it can to steal money it has offered post ante and then limit to death anyone with half a pulse that makes good winning bets. Truly they couldn’t care less about the customer or honestly following their own terms or upholding winning bets, anything they can do to try and make a quick buck they will if you don’t fight back.

If you win too much or take relatively good lines consistently they steal your earned reward points too. Not to mention they’ve had many run ups with gaming commissions I’ve seen on twitter for not holding true to their promotion terms or even just scamming people out of regular bets. Certainly the worst Sportsbook I have ever used, and that’s saying A LOT because even the bad ones with terrible UIs are not as dishonest and scummy as the PointsBet team.

This company has no shot at surviving if it can’t take more than a $20 wager from many bettors on most of the markets it offers. I would say to maybe take advantage of the sign up bonus (if they don’t scam you mid promotion) and then bail - complete laughing stock and embarrassment to the industry
