## What is Poised?

Practice the conversation before it happens.

Poised is a private rehearsal coach for interviews, boundaries, negotiations, difficult feedback, relationship talks, and other conversations you do not want to improvise.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose one of 45 built-in situations or bring your exact situation with Pro.
2. Pick Voice or Text and choose how hard the other person should push.
3. Rehearse with realistic follow-up questions and resistance.
4. Get a debrief grounded in your own words: what worked, what to sharpen, and the exact line to try next.

COACHING WITH SUBSTANCE
Poised grades the substance of your message against a scenario-specific rubric and established communication frameworks. It also helps you notice delivery patterns such as pace, pauses, filler words, and hedging. Five concise guides cover BATNA and anchoring, Radical Candor, Nonviolent Communication, STAR stories, and clear boundaries.

Browse every built-in situation and guide. Free includes five rehearsal starts, 12 AI reply attempts, five basic debrief attempts, and 12 generated-voice replies in a rolling seven-day window. Each use becomes available again seven days after it is used. No account or card is required.

Monthly and yearly auto-renewing options are available. The yearly plan shows a seven-day introductory trial only when the App Store confirms that you are eligible. The App Store displays the current price, billing period, and renewal terms before purchase. You can restore purchases in the app and cancel in Apple Settings.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Raw microphone audio stays on your device. Before selected transcript text is processed, Poised names DeepSeek text processing and AWS generated-reply speech and asks for consent. You can decline or withdraw that consent; native iOS speech remains available. Poised may keep a bounded encrypted response-recovery record for up to seven days, but it does not keep a full server transcript archive. Your full rehearsal history stays on your device. Poised has no ads, usage analytics, or cross-app tracking.

Steadier voice rehearsal

• Recovers instead of stalling. If your audio route changes mid-sentence — like pulling your headphones out — Poised rebuilds the microphone connection and your take keeps going. If a phone call interrupts you, or on-device speech recognition itself drops out, Poised ends the take cleanly and keeps everything you had already said, ready to send.
• Every ending is actionable. However a take ends — you stop it, you leave, something interrupts it — you always get either your words to edit or a clear way to try again. No more "Ready to send" with nothing on screen to send.
• Honest when a take is cut short. If the last words were still being transcribed, Poised tells you the turn may be incomplete and asks you to check it, instead of grading a fragment as a finished answer.
• Your typing is safe. Text you wrote yourself is never overwritten or lost when a voice take ends, and a fragment you deleted stays deleted.

Easier to set up and to browse

• Setting up a rehearsal now uses visual choices, so you can see what each mode and difficulty actually means before you start.
• Practice and Prep are organised into browsable categories with counts, so the right scenario or field guide is a couple of taps away instead of one long scroll.
• Search now spans both guides and scenarios, and points you to matches waiting in the other section.
• Onboarding is shorter and gets you into your first conversation sooner.
