## What is Poker?

Poker Buddy is six-seat No-Limit Texas Hold 'em, dealt on a table that feels like somebody is actually sitting at it.

Six regulars keep the game running: Marty, June, Buddy, Sable, Rin and Dex. Five of them take a seat, and you take the sixth. They do not play alike. Marty folds and folds and then hurts you. June puts you to a decision every single hand. Sable never flinches. Rin's face gives away rather more than she means it to.

THE GAME

- Proper No-Limit Hold 'em: blinds, side pots, split pots, all-in run-outs and correct no-limit betting rules throughout.
- Bet sizing that stays out of the way. Half pot, three-quarter pot, pot, all in, or take the slider anywhere in between.
- Your hand is named as the board comes out, so you always know what you are holding.
- Brisk, relaxed or deliberate pacing, whichever suits the evening.
- Play one hand or play until somebody owns every chip on the table.

THE BUDDIES

Every computer seat has a temperament, a resting expression and a habit. Watch one long enough and you will start to notice when a face does not quite match the bet.

The tells are deliberately noisy. They are a read, never a readout. The cards decide every hand, the betting is decided by the poker engine, and a flicker across somebody's face is a hint you are free to be wrong about — exactly as it should be.

Table talk is written on your device while the hand plays out, by a small language model that ships inside the app. It is given the public state of the table and nothing else: it never sees a card, and it never decides an action. There is nothing to download afterwards and no account to make.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS

Start a Game Center match and share a table with people you know. Empty seats fill with Buddies, so a three-player game is still a full six-handed table, and a player who drops out has their seat taken over rather than freezing the game.

Games played, wins, win rate, hands dealt and where you finished last time. Kept on your device, where it belongs.

STICKERS

Poker Buddy brings a Messages sticker pack along with it: the Buddies' best faces, four cards and the deck back, ready to drop into a conversation.

Poker Buddy has no accounts, no ads and no in-app purchases. There is no real money anywhere in it. The chips are just chips.
