It’s way more complicated than it needs to be. The timer screen has the seat arrangements and payouts on it, which is not necessary. I lost my voice alerts as well. I really wish I could go back to the previous version. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it! Edit: I should have given it a chance before writing a review. I was just shocked how different it was. But after using it for our poker tournament, it’s actually really good. I just need to get used it. There are some changes from the old version that I really like too. Like the timer pause after each blind. ### 4/5 — Great App *2026-08-12, version 5.0.12* First thank you for grandfathering in Poker Timer Pro purchasers, class move! Love the new interface and the remote works much better with near-zero lag. There does seem to be an issue with the TTS speech text box not committing changes, but I'm sure that will be fixed soon. Great app, it really makes ou Monday night tournament feel a little more 'Pro'. It’s very customisable and once you get used to it easy to use. Excellent app and the help icons within the app really helped. A great enhancement would be a chip calculator/distribution. Definitely recommended. Thank you! ### 5/5 — Get this app! Review *2022-11-11* I run a poker club with 16 paid players. In addition I have 25 substitutes. I’ve used this extensively in 2022 and it works great! You add the players names to the master list, then at game time you select those that are playing and add them to the game. All blinds, Chip amounts, and levels are customizable. Re-buy? No problem. What has been amazing to me is when I pull out all the cash in 5s, 10s, 20’s, 50’s and count it all up the total matches exactly to what I put into the app. Since I preconfigured the payout list to 4 players, it automatically tells me each payout amount at the end of the game. Lost most of the functions I had in place. It was so easy to setup a tournament and make changes as needed. I paid for the full version and it was great. However, it will no longer stay open on my phone or iPad. It opens, then immediately disappears. Unlike other reviewers, I only alert my players when there's 1 min left and at the start of the next round. I missed the start of several rounds this weekend (until I figured I needed the screen on) because of this. Otherwise, the functionality is good. As we kept playing together we got more curious about analytics and how we’re performing. I’d send the log files to those that were curious. While sending the log history, I was surprised to see a new update (5.0.16). I upgraded, curious about what was in the new version. The stats detailing ROI and leaderboards are very interesting. One challenge emerged though: the player records weren’t syncing up with my logs. Ron was INCREDIBLY helpful with taking my input and finding the issue. 5.0.17 promises to be an exciting change from last month. ### 5/5 — New update is more complicated *2026-08-14, version 5.0.13* I’ve had the previous version for 5 years. This new update is a MAJOR change. It took a little getting used to. I found some bugs and they were immediately fixed. I run a monthly tournament with 24 players. This app has everything you need. I do wish there was some simplification efforts. A lot of bells and whistles means complexity. For the average user it may take a week to figure out. But the basics remain. Everything is customizable (and I mean everything). And the remote feature has to be the coolest thing I’ve seen. Set up the poker timer on an iPad on the wall and you can pause it and otherwise control it from your phone.
