If you are interested in doing quizzes in the app be ready to close the app, log back in, search again for quiz, and repeat for each quiz. ### 4/5 — Good course with a bad app *2025-06-20* The course itself is great- I do find the lessons and quizzes available to be valuable. However, a lot of practice is done on my phone in free time- and the app can be such a pain to use. Unfortunately, there are some bugs that make the iOS app a chore to use. Most notably: The videos randomly restart! I’ll be 5 minutes into a video, and then it starts over from the beginning for no apparent reason. This never happens on the website, but it happens almost every time I try to watch a video in the app. (Also, a note to developers: The “App Support” link in the App Store points to a 404 page.) ### 3/5 — Has great potential…but! *2022-08-18* Love all the content for the paid service, but can’t see myself extending past one month with all the cliches and freezing. $40 a month is a lot of money with so much free content out there. I expect to pay $40 and not be frustrated with quizzes that you can’t see have the information or getting booted from App every 2 minutes. Losing customers fast I imagine. But a lot of the classes/courses would be great to listen to on the go. And sadly, there is no download feature. Quick easy access to a hand quiz with a professional to explain best way to play them. When I click on “TYPE” to choose between cash and tourney those buttons are missing . It’s been going on for 2-3 weeks now and I go not see any updates yet . I wouldn’t even recommend using the free part of the app. Honestly, everything on this app and much more is available on YouTube and Google. There are plenty of charts and videos all over the place. I was interested in the interactive quizzes as that was a new concept to me. Since they only show you one quiz before you have to pay, I went ahead and subscribed figuring that since I am a gambler, why not spend $40 on the chance I could learn something? I’ve taken a couple dozen quizzes and have learned a few things but I’m underwhelmed overall. Some of the quizzes are interesting and even helpful but many of them are thoughtlessly spit and scotch tapes together. They have a makeshift scoring system that makes no sense and offers no consistency. It’s also really annoying to pick up where you left off. I was seeking cash game quizzes and ther is a way to isolate those choices but the problem is when you take one and finish it and then click/ tap “next quiz”, you are randomly taken to another quiz which might be a tournament quiz. If I’m watching a cash game quiz, and tap next, I obviously want another cash game quiz. I want to take all of the quizzes but I can’t do them in a single sitting to be sure. Why can’t I resume the cash game quizzes where I left off and why can’t I tap next and stay within the cash game quizzes? This is far from complicated programming and I find it troubling that the “pro” players who put their name to this app haven’t pointed out these issues. While I did pick up a few things with the quizzes, the rest of the app is fairly useless to me. There are abbreviations I don’t understand and that aren’t footnoted. Even with glasses I can’t read some of the text in the quizzes and charts. What you have here is a good concept that has been rushed and shortcutted to get it to market. Advice to players- watch YouTube. Search google. Save $40 or more and do NOT subscribe to this. Advice to devs- slow down and do this right and Lower your ludicrous subscription fees. ✌️ ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY *2020-12-18* The app doesn’t tell you anything about what their acronyms mean, you’re just supposed to know. It doesn’t help you in the slightest to understand strategy or hand structure. If you reach out to them for help they won’t answer and just ignore you. I purchased a Jonathan Little book and was pretty excited to use this app. It’s disappointing to download an app that won’t allow a login. The app has crashed when watching a video as well. However, since last night I’m getting a JSON error trying to open the app and it’s officially doing nothing. Deleted and reinstalled app. No change. Update: app was fixed within 24 hours. We should be able to customize our own charts for practice that way we’re not limited to the charts provided. Gives access for Poker Coaching members to the Poker Quiz’s and Push/Fold charts (previously on the old Float the Turn app). According to Jonathan Little there will be future updates that include Preflop charts and some other features currently available to members of PokerCoaching.com So far a very solid and useful app, great for passing the time when I only have my phone.
