### 2/5 — Updates??

*2026-01-19, version 2.5.7*

Was a good app initially, but they’re just buy and monopolize content. No improvements or updates on the app in over a year. Videos glitch and switch to the next episode often. There’s nearly no memory on the app on what you’ve watched, or where you were watching at (total hit and miss) a go to sleep feature like all other streaming apps have these days would be nice. But it seems they don’t care about the app at all, very short sided, will kill their long term customers over time.

### 2/5 — Sack the app Dev

*2025-05-31*

Some good content but whoever designed the app needs sacking on the spot. It's just as bad as the website to lazy to even create lists and tabs for finding content quickly. It's so bare bones. Not remotely worth £20 a month. Robbery.

### 4/5 — Excellent content. App has some issues.

*2025-01-21*

First of all, the content is objectively the best available. PGT tournament series, High Stakes Poker, No Gamble No Future, the list goes on. Best commentators in the business (i.e., Schulman, Nejad, Hanks, Platt). Would love to see some Triton in there, but I imagine that’s more of a content rights issue than anything else.

However, the app itself is…lacking.

Top 3 issues that, if corrected, would make a HUGE difference in the user experience (in my opinion):
1. When you start a live stream that started more than say 30 minutes ago, don’t start the stream Live. Start it from the beginning and give the user the option to go to the Live point. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve started a Final Table stream only to have an immediate spoiler when half the players are already eliminated.

2. If you attempt to watch a live stream and you want to go back to the beginning (which you shouldn’t have to do…see no. 1), it often gets pixelated to the point where you can’t see the chip and card graphics. This is kind of unacceptable for this specific content.

3. When the stream ends while you are watching from the beginning and you are not caught up to Live, the stream will freeze and the app must be restarted and fast forwarded to where you left off.

PokerGo, please, please, please consider taking a look at these issues. It would really go a long way.
Thank you!

### 1/5 — Not worth the $$$-needs improvement

*2024-07-08, version 2.5.1*

Low quality and frequent freezes.

### 1/5 — Still no casting support

*2024-07-07, version 2.5.1*

Same buggy app with higher price than last year

### 2/5 — Beyond bad

*2024-06-21, version 2.5.1*

No clue why the app for ipad is so bad. Screens doesn’t fit monitor properly chat rooms cut off. App continuously freezes. They do provide good content when you get to watch it

### 1/5 — Poor quality app. Lack of content.

*2024-06-14, version 2.4.17*

-Frequent does not save where you last left off watching

-poor content besides WSOP. Better content on youtube with Triton. The pokergo cups are good but they only show final tables where blinds are so high less skill is involved. Triton shows you early play which i prefer to watch.

-poor layout of app, difficult to find new content, does not have dates when videos released and content gets buried and difficult to find.

### 1/5 — Terrible at remembering where you left off

*2024-04-27*

Recently watched section is all wrong. It shows episodes I watched long ago but doesn't show ones I half finished recently.

### 3/5 — Great poker site

*2024-02-23, version 2.4.15*

BUT the app is awful - can’t download, can’t close-caption, and difficult to navigate on demand episodes. Comparatively, Prime is a 10 and this is a 5.

### 1/5 — App is not working since its last update!

*2023-11-14*

Been trying for a very long time and the app isn’t working after the last update.
What’s the point in paying and subscribing when we can’t stream ANYTHING on the app? Please fix asap!

### 2/5 — App not working since last update

*2023-11-11*

App is not playing any videos since its last update . Please check and resolve.

### 1/5 — Crap commentary

*2023-09-15, version 2.4.13*

I just started watching the main event from 2922. The commentary in the booth is like an elementary school blog. There is virtually no commentary about the hand or the players at the table. They would be better to fire them and just run the miked players. It would be good to have the option to mute the irrelevant chatter. It is distracting and pointlessly self indulgent.

### 1/5 — Poker Go has no soul

*2023-08-05*

So many features missing. So much WSOP content missing. Helmuths record setting WSOP victory wasn’t even broadcast. That’s like a hockey network not broadcasting the Stanley Cup. Embarrassing. Too busy self promoting recycled concepts for gimmicky shows. WSOP is far from what it use to be. Watching a generic single table for 6-8 hours as oppose to the great entertainment of stars and amateurs of the past is no comparison. Other shows feel recycled with no passion or heart. The site has no soul.

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2023-07-21, version 2.4.13*

This app has the feel of something that is in beta. Almost nothing is intuitive. Now I go to the website to cancel as instructed in terms and conditions and that process ends in directing me to the App Store to cancel. I missed the final table of the main event and was able to watch it on here the following night. It had already been posted to their YouTube channel in full. I don’t think I will be coming back to pay for this experience.

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2023-07-18, version 2.4.13*

Please invest time and money into this app. The content is great but the app is only tolerable. Very buggy. It is almost like the people writing the app and those creating the content are not using the app themselves. Big disconnect in understanding the issues with the app.

### 1/5 — It’s 2023…

*2023-07-10, version 2.4.13*

It’s 2023. Seriously. Add casting support.

Literally 2023 and this app doesn’t support casting, It’s mind blowing to me.

Everyone should be boycotting this app until casting support is integrated.

### 1/5 — L

*2023-07-10, version 2.4.9*

It’s pretty sweet that I paid $100 for this app and it won’t open because I need a newer version of the app and I can’t find where to update it. That’s fun

### 2/5 — App is Terrible

*2023-06-29*

Content is excellent, and on your TV it works great. However, I’ve never used a worse streaming app on my phone/iPad ever. It freezes constantly, goes black while audio still plays, you can’t scrub through and it is virtually unusable. It’s unfortunate. This is my second year with Poker Go and I will not be renewing if this doesn’t improve. Hopefully someone is paying attention to these reviews, there’s obviously a way to improve an app as hundreds of others have it down correct. Business will be lost if this doesn’t improve.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst thing to happen to poker

*2025-07-17, version 2.5.7*

Probably the worst thing to happen to poker in a long time.

Putting the WSOP behind a paywall when it already had thousands of viewers. As if PokerGO is gonna draw in more viewers and be better for the community than just broadcasting it on tv or for free like they did the first few days. Best part is, at the start of the final table, THEIR STREAM WASNT EVEN WORKING.

You secure a huge contract to broadcast the biggest event of the poker year, and you can’t even get it right. Unreal.

Better yet, you can subscribe very easily, but there is no option to cancel your subscription on their website, you have to email them. Trump’s America smh.

### 1/5 — The worst for poker

*2025-07-15, version 2.5.7*

Abysmal service.

### 1/5 — Site down

*2025-07-15*

I signed up to watch the main event, but the site is down. I paid for the whole month I should be refunded.

### 1/5 — Worst Streaming experience ever

*2025-07-13*

Constant buffering g and crashing. Wait for the main on YouTube.

### 1/5 — What a joke

*2025-02-20*

What a joke

### 1/5 — Very frustrating

*2024-08-17, version 2.5.1*

Not worth subscribing. I watched WSOP day 1-4. According to app I left off on day 2. There is no organization of series, you have to scroll to find a series and episode, since you can not find the series. Will not re-new, as watching poker is not worth the frustration of finding what you want to watch.

### 1/5 — Buggy App

*2024-07-24*

If PokerGO wants to hinder the growth of live poker for their own monetary benefit, and charge more for a subscription then literally every single subscription viewing service, then they should make sure their app is functional and doesn’t require someone to load it countless times without getting a black screen and lagging video play. I decided to subscribe to watch the ME FT, but I will not be renewing.

### 1/5 — Moderator “Russell” banned me from chat

*2024-07-15, version 2.5.1*

I paid $20 to watch the main event and some moderator named “Russell” has a power trip and banned me from the chat… Will be canceling my membership promptly after this event is over… Thanks a lot, Russell.

### 1/5 — App is terrible

*2024-07-13, version 2.5.1*

The poker production and content is the best. Commentators are all fantastic and they put on great tourney and cash game shows.

BUT: the app itself is straight garbage. Constantly hanging, half the time unable to fast forward. Cutting out, freezing, buffering. Just awful.

Please improve the app and your content delivery methods. It’s hard to watch great content when you can’t get the app to work.

### 1/5 — Greedy company with little to offer

*2024-07-13, version 2.5.1*

They force you to buy a $20/month subscription just to watch poker and their site is poorly optimized garbage.
They could be streaming on YouTube or another platform that actually has it figured out but then they couldn’t force you to pay a minimum of $20 just to watch.
Every time you’re in the middle of watching a recently finished recording the video cuts out and if you reload the page it will have loading issues indefinitely.
I just read a review from a year ago saying the exact same thing so they clearly aren’t putting any of the money they overcharge people to good use.
They just want to take your money and run and, because they have monopolized this type of entertainment, they can.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great customer service; bad app

*2025-06-12, version 2.5.7*

Long time Pokergo fan but got no love for iOS app. All stars to customer service for refund. I’ll spend money on Pokergo to watch wsop live…just not on this platform

### 5/5 — A very very good app and platform

*2023-03-23, version 2.4.11*

The quality of the app is greatly improved. The content is the best. So happy to see where Poker Go is now. I bought the app to catch HSP but now I’m going to keep it.

### 5/5 — Poker Enthusiast

*2022-12-14, version 2.4.9*

Really good app to have during some big tournament events to watch live. A little on the pricier side definitely and if cheaper I would not have stopped my subscription.

### 5/5 — Poker enthusiasts will love this

*2022-11-29, version 2.4.10*

From your favorite players to high stakes phenoms. I love the real time content and have been riveted for hours. Definitely recommend more than entertaining, it will have you thinking more critically about your game.

### 5/5 — PokerGO is great

*2022-11-28, version 2.4.10*

I’ve been a PokerGO subscriber from the start. Customer service has been great and the selection of poker content to watch is excellent. When I first subscribed I was worried there wouldn’t be enough content to keep me satisfied, but now I have a back log of events and shows that I haven’t had time to watch.

### 5/5 — Great app for poker fans

*2022-11-28, version 2.4.10*

Great place to watch poker. I’ve learned a lot getting to see all the hands in WSOP. The shows are fun to watch also.

### 5/5 — PokerGO is a must!

*2022-11-27, version 2.4.10*

Watching the best play my favorite game is always a hit!

### 5/5 — Great Product

*2022-11-27*

Good value for money, all services and support are amazing

### 5/5 — 24/7 POKER

*2022-11-27, version 2.4.10*

If your looking to watch the best poker available, look no further as POKERGO is the best streaming service available! You will not miss any tournament or cash game.
Pokergo is the best!

### 5/5 — President

*2022-11-26*

If LIVE for Poker and are passionate about the game, this is the app for you. The monthly cost seems minimal for all of the content you have access to. I enjoy watching the different cash games and keeping up with the World Series of Poker events.

The ability to put the app on my smart phone, iPad and smart television, so I can watch Poker Go where I am and how I want to makes it even easier and convenient.

I have not even mentioned that I have rewatched High Stakes Poker from the early 2000’s from the 1st season to the last twice.

**Developer response:** Thanks very much for taking the time to offer your feedback! I am a huge High Stakes Poker fan as well!
