Also the receipt uploading for points is extremely clunky. Second, I originally tried to just enter my phone number into the POS system in-store but was told that I instead need to upload the receipt in the app myself. As part of this, it requires a full picture of the receipt, the date of purchase, and a linked card in the app itself. Just make it so that there is a single thing to scan (QR code or some other barcode) that automatically uploads the entire receipt into the app. I don’t understand why I need the payment method in the app to upload receipts (no technical reason for this seemingly except for some convoluted business requirement. This also doesn’t translate well if I use Apple Pay, since if I use that would I still need to store the underlying payment method in the app? That would be bizarre). My boyfriend paid for the meal in-store and that means that I either need his card on my account or he needs to make his own account, otherwise the rewards are lost due to this cumbersome process ### 3/5 — Order process *2025-10-07, version 45.9.1* It was very difficult to put an order in. It’s featured in the store but disappeared from the app. How to order avocado on your Poke Your Way? It’s available in-store (in fact they charge extra for it) but not in the app. How to add notes to your order (like “please add avocado”)? Nope. Please update the app so I can get online what I can get in-store. ### 1/5 — New is not great *2024-12-19, version 35.1.18* The new app and points reward system is not really very great. Not user-friendly, the way you had point not intuitive. ### 2/5 — worst app update ever, can’t change email at sign-in *2024-12-15, version 35.1.18* i accidentally typed the wrong email so it kicks me to the annoyingly long registration process. then the app cached my wrong email input and after multiple re-installs it still keeps reading my wrong email still, asking me to attach card information. i guess i’m never gonna be able to use this app to order now and give up on my previous rewards points. previous version the app is also terrible it constantly having issues with network and connectivity. ### 1/5 — Good visually wise…not good functional wise… *2024-11-25, version 35.1.18* This is the first order I made after they remodeled the old app. Nothing changed just gotten bad. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to use my points to get free items it doesn’t work( it was the same issue on the old version). There still isn’t a way to track my order.I had a dasher call me to send the “proper address” and he still left it someplace else. If I ordered it thru DoorDash I wouldn’t have been able to get points, the bar code on the app doesn’t work.They’re going to lose a lot of loyal customers because of issues. They were nice enough to give a refund 😭 ### 1/5 — New app is unusable *2024-11-21* I made the mistake of using my legacy Pokeworks email address when I first logged in, only to be told that my credit card was tied to a different Thanx account. Unfortunately, I can’t logout and log back in with the Thanx email address. There is no option. I’ve tried deleting the app and still I cannot fully reset it so I can logon. I’m stuck using their terrible website until this is fixed. ### 4/5 — Ok app *2024-11-21, version 35.1.18* Great food! ### 3/5 — New app worse deals and less useful *2024-11-15, version 35.1.18* So before the old app the rate was a free poke bowl every 100 points where $1=1 point. And you could bring up a QR code for the stores to scan. Very useful if you pair off paying meals with friends or family but want to use the same account for points. Now it’s 200 points is a free bowl and $1=1 point. And they got rid of the QR code. Wanting you to either take photos of your receipt or auto pair it to a single card. Making it a bigger pain to share paying. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scammy and annoying *2025-12-28* I used to use apple pay for payments and it would automatically update my points and the suddenly noticed that my points no longer updated recently since August and never saw a thing about Apple Pay not being automatically giving me points… super annoyed because I’ve gone so many times since August and none of those points counted. ### 1/5 — Ad spam *2025-11-05, version 46.1.26* There is no way to turn off the multiple a day ad notifications with the app and keep order notifications. ### 1/5 — cash grab *2025-08-22, version 45.5.2* surumi salad has always been a free add on. with this new update it wants you to pay extra for "double" surumi salad when it's free if you go in store. won't let me re-order a previous order because of this. IT IS STILL FREE IN STORE. I JUST WANT TO PLACE IT ON THE APP. MAKE IT FREE AGAIN. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t automatically add Points *2025-08-09, version 45.2.0* This App use to be good but then they decided to manipulate you to add a credit card to your account to add automatically your points. If you don’t you need to take a picture of your receipt making it harder. The majority of restaurants have your points automatically added when you pay by sharing a phone number or CODE. Now they want you not to have points if you didn’t add a credit card to the app!!! It’s 2025 if a small restaurant can give me points by paying and giving them my information WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!!! ### 1/5 — Have to upload receipts *2025-05-12, version 44.1.0* I have been a customer since 2018. This year my account does not add points using my phone number and all I can do is manually submit receipts. This is HUGELY inconvenient. We’re in 2025 guys! The owner has been saying they are switching to a new IT platform but it’s been four months. Did you outsource your deployment to an intern or what?! ### 1/5 — Piece of junk *2025-04-04* The app worked great in the old format when you simply scanned at the register or ordered online. Now they’ve tried to make it fancy, want your data and credit card number, and nothing ever works. The store workers admit the new app never works to scan any reward redemptions. I can’t even get it to start a new order flow and every time I start it up it says an unknown error occurred and to restart.
