### 2/5 — Bug fixes are too slow

*2023-09-14*

Haven't been able to use the app on my iPad since the last update over 3 months ago. Have had a bug ticket opened and confirmed. App doesn't show submit button when adding a device on iPad. Had to buy a competitive device just to be able to work. Shame because I love the Pokit pro.

### 2/5 — Not able to connect using BLE

*2023-07-01*

Opening option to connect devices produces a message that reads “unauthorized to connect to Bluetooth”. Not sure how to fix this…

### 3/5 — Please can you do a watch app

*2022-07-11, version 1.4.2*

Liking it so far does everything I need really could do with a Watch app then it would be hands-free and it just be a game changer

### 3/5 — Won’t close

*2022-07-03*

Once you open the app in IOS you can not exited it using the normal method. In addition, I haven’t been able to turn on the device unless I hook it to a charger first. Maybe the last update fixed it. But now you need to work on the app.

### 3/5 — Need watch app

*2022-06-29*

When I bought into the kickstart it showed a watch app. Since 95% of my use is multimeter related it’s kinda useless without the watch app. Really nice packaging and does have some powerful features. With the watch app it’s easily 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Cool hardware, app needs work

*2022-05-19, version 1.4.1*

I finally received my Pokit Pro from the kickstarter campaign. The hardware seems good but the app needs some work on the UI and controls to make it more functional. It works and shows promise but the app will be critical.

### 1/5 — tim

*2025-11-23, version 2.0.6*

the mode keeps changing, then it doesn’t read sometimes, very frustrating

### 1/5 — No valid license key found

*2024-12-08*

I bought the Range Tester module, and can see it listed in the My Account page. However, when I go into the Range Tester module, I’m presented with the error message, “No valid license key found.” This seemed to work one time when I initially bought it when it was released, but ever since then, ever after logging out of my account and logging back in or even uninstalling the app (and losing my saved profiles) and reinstalling the app, I’m still presented with this error. Very disappointed in how Pokit has implemented checking for purchased modules. If the My Account page shows the module listed, I would expect to never see any such error message when using the purchased module. Makes me glad that I did not add the new module add-on when backing the Pokit Clamp Kickstarter, as I would be absolutely furious to put so much money down for a feature the app would say I have, but would also tell me I don’t have at the same time.

**Developer response:** Hello CacsTech. Apologies for the inconvenience. Are you still having this issue?
Please take a look at our help article regarding that error message or submit a ticket so we can look at it further.

### 1/5 — Version 2.03 released 1h ago

*2024-08-14*

After updating to the latest just now, the app is crashing on every start. Let's stry again dev team :)

### 1/5 — meh

*2024-04-04*

The iOS GUI for the device settings doesn’t even fit on the phone screen. Rookie high school programming. If the rest of the design is as bad, god help ya.

**Developer response:** Hello jeglin. Apologies for the bad experience and for replying late. Are you still experiencing this issue?

### 1/5 — Resistance measurements not working

*2024-02-15*

Only voltage can be measured no ability for resistance. Possible app glitch

### 1/5 — Failes to Pair

*2024-02-07*

I have 2 units I am trying to pair. Failing everytime after the Yellow popul screen after checking 2 check marks and accepting. Will re-review when new solutions arrives.

### 1/5 — Can’t analyze a saved wave

*2024-02-01*

When will we get to analyze the wave patterns we saved??????

**Developer response:** Hello Transmech,

Currently we can:

1. View a historic captured wave
2. Measure time deltas between different point on the wave form by long pressing 2 points on the wave
3. Read the measurement delta between 2 values on the waveform.

What you would like to be included regarding wave analysis?

### 1/5 — 1 year after ..

*2023-08-08, version 1.7.0*

App is still a nightmare, close unexpectedly, no serious update made. After a long wait for the device, I am really disappointed by the whole thing.

### 1/5 — No wave form manipulation after snapshot

*2023-05-12*

The app will not allow you to capture a wave form and review it . It’s just a screen capture and thus completely worthless. Android has it what’s the deal?

### 1/5 — Not practical

*2022-10-20*

Watch app requires iPhone app to be in the foreground.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent tool!

*2025-04-02, version 2.0.5*

The latest update seems to have. fixed all the stability issues.
It’s has been a true joy using it for my personal electronic projects. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — The most versatile tool

*2025-03-31*

Love my pokit devices and the ability to expand the capabilities through the app. Such a great instrument.

### 5/5 — Great Device and App

*2023-05-05*

One thing to be updated the min/max multimeter function should not reset when selecting channel. Ideally it would record the min and max value for all channels simultaneous. Not sure if this is possible.

### 5/5 — Now has watch app support

*2022-09-09*

Works well as multimeter!
Oscilloscope mode can use some refinements in easier software controls.
Room for improvements in auto-scaling, although “pinch-to-zoom” works.

Would like to see add-on temperature probe with higher temperature range (e.g. to check oven temperatures).

### 5/5 — Great companion to the Pokit pro

*2022-09-08, version 1.5*

Continuously improving with every release

### 4/5 — Great devices

*2025-10-05, version 2.0.6*

I supported the original pokit from beginning, have only just started using it again and noticed something missing from the app (unless I can’t find it). A great addition when testing voltages (I do a lot in vehicles so 12v) would be an audio alert/beep that goes up or down in tone according to the voltage. Hoping this could be added so you don’t have to keep looking at the screen. 👍

### 4/5 — Nice now that there is a watch app

*2022-12-19*

Watch app for this makes it a lot more usable and probably one of the reasons a person wants a dmm that connects to the phone.

### 3/5 — Welcome to pricing insanity

*2025-01-15*

Imagine paying for a $228 volt meter that has a Bluetooth connection and then being asked to pay $50 more for the app to detect if a measurement is with a certain range.
Ludicrous.
The product is good. It replaces devices like a $20 volt meter and somewhat can take measurements like a $15 logic analyzer. But it’s got USBC so I guess that makes up for the extra $200.

I’m salty in holding back something that is software locked and not hardware locked on a device that is already on the edge of being worth the premium price.

I hate leaving bad reviews on otherwise decent products but $50 for the range module sent me over the edge.
If they walk that back I’ll be the first to edit my review.

**Developer response:** Hey Kingjamez80. We appreciate your feedback.

All the original Core App Modules/features advertised are free and accessible to any Pokit user. The Expansion App Modules (optional) like the Range Tester you mentioned, allow users to expand the capabilities of your Pokit, increasing its versatility without having to purchase a brand new device.

We found that it would be more cost effective to allow our users to purchase additional features based on their needs rather than developing a new piece of hardware that would cost our users significantly more.

### 3/5 — App shuts down intermittently

*2024-06-12, version 1.7.0*

Regular problems with this app.

### 3/5 — Multiple Probes on Logger for temp not working

*2023-01-08, version 1.5.1*

This could have many uses in many fields.

-Temp differential or “delta T” between two probes would be helpful for hvac
-being able to measure voltage via cursor as well as time would be helpful (min/max) isn’t always enough
-overlay for rotation 180/360/540/720 would be helpful for automotive diagnostics

It may be worth contacting AESWave for support in the automotive industry for this device as a replacement for the uScope. This would lead to greater adoption potentially.

Jim Bergman at measurequick might have interest in HVAC.

Just offering suggestions for end markets
