## What is Pokito?

Pokito was created because we believe that consistency is the best way to make progress towards any goal, and accountability partners are the simplest way to stay consistent. The problem is that other people can't always be there to force us out of bed, get us to the gym, or even the office.

Pokito is an alarm app that uses physical checkpoints to be there for you every day and enforce routines you want to improve on.

It works in 3 steps:
1. Define the routine you want to improve & place your checkpoints along the routine.
2. We are now your default alarm app, so use Pokito the same way you would with your normal alarm app.
3. When your alarm goes off, so do you by tapping each checkpoint until you reach your destination, or the alarm turns back on.

Why Pokito works
- Enforce routines & stay accountable by tapping physical checkpoints along your routine.
- Our timers keep you on track & on time so you know exactly where you should be.
- Stay consistent with any routine: morning routines, workouts, getting to the office on time, and even getting into bed on time.
- Pokito replaces motivation with a system that supports follow-through
- Commit to flexible weekly schedules & plan rest days to build consistency that fits real life
- See your progress & keep your momentum with streaks and routine data

Your privacy is important to us, so we only collect anonymous usage data to make Pokito more reliable and helpful - your data is never sold or used for ads. See our Privacy Policy for more information: https://pokito.shop/pages/privacy

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-05-28

NEW: Smart Alarm Recovery
Pokito now detects when an alarm was missed and offers to start your routine right away. No more silent failures — if your phone was off, in Do Not Disturb, or you slept through, a popup appears the next time you open the app.

NEW: Accountability Partner Notifications
Your accountability partner now gets a push notification when you complete a routine. Nudge each other with a Kudos tap from the Social tab.

Plus improvements and fixes:
- Redesigned completion screen with animated streak counter and weekly activity tracker
- Unified visual design across all tabs with consistent rounded buttons
- Fixed share links not opening when both dev and prod builds are installed
- Notification permission is now requested on first launch
- Removed the Weekly Check-In feature (it wasn't useful — routines are the focus)

### 1.4.2 — 2026-05-20

Bug fixes and stability improvements.
• Fixed alarms firing at unexpected times when they appeared disabled in the app. Toggling an alarm off now reliably stops it from firing.
• Fixed a display bug where one-time alarms set for the next morning could show "No Alarm" in your routine card.
• Removed the rarely-used Weekly Check-In screen. The Sunday "Plan Your Week" notification now opens straight to your routines.
• Improved notification reliability — new users now get prompted for notification permission on first launch so reminders work as expected.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-04-22

Bug fixes and improvements:
  • Share links from Pokito now open the app directly. Previously they sometimes went through Safari first or opened the wrong build on testers' devices.
  • Alarm toggles reliably apply. Turning an alarm off now actually prevents it from firing — including alarms about to fire within a couple of minutes.
  • Completing a routine no longer cancels follow-up alarms for your other scheduled alarms. Each alarm's follow-ups stay independent.
  • Follow-up alarms correctly stop after you complete a routine, even when two alarms fire back-to-back.
  • The home screen routine card now picks the truly next alarm. Previously a weekly alarm whose time had already passed today was being treated as firing tomorrow instead of next
week, pushing it ahead of actually-upcoming alarms.
  • Alarms no longer fire up to 2 minutes early when opening the app near a scheduled time.
  • The "Start early" button on the pre-routine screen is now consistently tappable.
  • Live Activity reflects the updated countdown when you extend a phase during a routine.
  • Stale journeys from a previous alarm are cleaned up automatically when a new alarm fires, so you start on the correct pre-routine screen.
  • A new in-app screen gracefully handles links generated by a newer version of Pokito than you have installed, with a one-tap update prompt.

- Updated notifications to encourage commitments
- Clearer onboarding
