It will show me the “no camera connected” screen, but as soon as I connect my camera the app immediately crashes and will continue to crash after half a second any time I try and open it. Completely unusable. I probably wouldn’t have purchased the camera if I knew the app wouldn’t work. ### 1/5 — App is slow and crashes . A complete disappointment *2023-07-16, version 1.5* The Polaroid wave is a basic camera which is waterproof and tough but is severely let down by the Wi-Fi capabilities . The sound quality is terrible but the picture quality is decent and has a 90s vibe to it that I like. Unfortunately uploading the video’s to my phone takes WAAAYYYY to long. It took about 1 hour to upload (ONE OUT OF 60 CLIPS!) the camera almost died from uploading just 1 video and if it takes 1 hour per clip that would be 60+ hours. I don’t think I can even use this camera anymore because of how slow the app is uploading to my phone. Maybe I’ll try changing the format. EDIT. In the setting of this app I tried to change the format for smaller file sizes hoping to make it upload faster. I tapped format it said “format successful” and deleted all my pictures and videos. 🤣🤣 ### 1/5 — Idk why this hasn’t been figured out *2023-03-14, version 1.5* I don’t leave bad reviews ever- like I really don’t. But I am super annoyed and flustered and I came to read reviews and I guess I’m glad to know it isn’t user error 🙄 I want my photos and this app will not do anything. I’ve been trying for over an hour. I see comments dating back to a few years ago saying the same things I’m saying- I just feel like with modern technology this could probably be put together so that it works 🙃 ### 1/5 — Slow, ineffective and crashes *2022-12-27, version 1.5* The app is very slow to access data from our ID922 Polaroid camera. When downloading photos to our phone it is very, very slow and then never completes the process. The app has always been EXTREMELY slow to transfer photos to my phone (and I could only transfer them 3 at a time or the app would crash), but now my app just doesn’t work at all. I’ve redownloaded it more than once and done a variety of troubleshooting but nothing works. Fantastic device. Captures some incredibly special moments and the quality is great. However, the app is hard to use!! I have trouble connecting my phone every single time. I've used this app a total of 3 times. First time it didn't work, second time it worked and the third time it's no longer connecting. It's hard to find help online as there isn't much info out there. I suggest getting an SD card adaptor to your computer to be able to retrieve your footage. It took some patience, but I was able to set up the WiFi and view my photos in the app’s gallery. This wasn’t perfect, as not all of my photos loaded, those that did had duplicates, and some of the photos wouldn’t load when I clicked to see the larger image That being said, I am enjoying using this cute little camera to take pictures. It’s been perfect for my hobby photography. While I don’t use it underwater, it is nice to take photos outside in the rain and not worry about my camera getting damaged. Pros of the app: -I was able to view some of my photos in the gallery, which made it easy to save some photos as screen shots -Setting up WiFi took a little patience but it did work Cons of the app: - Not all of my photos showed up in the gallery, and those that did had 4 or 5 duplicates - I couldn’t get the other features of the app to work - Downloading my photos from the app didn’t work, but I was able to take screenshots I will continue using the app’s gallery to try to save some of my photos for my blog.
