Also, the simplest photo editing tools are locked behind a paywall, such as the sharpening tool. It’s overkill. The only reason I use the app is to apply community filters I find on Pinterest, which is free. They’re a complete scam and the games they’re advertising are all terrible. Use another app honestly. Firstly, a bug for years now with the mobile app is that it does not automatically log me in or recognize my active subscription. I have to go to settings and click “restore purchases” every! single! time! I open the app to open my subscription plan and unlock my paid features. Slightly annoying but not a total dealbreaker. But NOW, to my surprise, the features I have PAID FOR in my annual Polarr lite subscription have suddenly been taken away (they are reserved for the “Studio” tier which is twice as expensive). I have to upgrade again to access the most BASIC photo editing tools (shadow, light, selection tools, etc). This is insane. Extremely shady and deceptive of the Polarr app developers to do. I PAID for a year’s worth of photo editing tools and suddenly that access disappears MONTHS before my subscription renews. Sad to say I will be deleting this app. Not worth it at all - other apps like Snapseed, Hypic, and VSCO offer similar editing tools for free or much cheaper. Why would you completely change an entire app so that even experienced users are dumbfounded. I can’t for the life af me figure out the set up for the new way that overlays work, I cant even seem to apply an image in the style of a gradient like was able to do before. From 5 stars to 1,if could I’d give it none. You were a top rated app, why would you make such a move, that was dumber than dumb, at least have the courtesy to roll it out slowly. Not all at once. I had not known how much more useful this app was over my previous go to until the last few months. But once I really played around with it, it soon became my newest go to. I wish I had never updated. Also why is there not an easier way to delete my custom overlays, y’all didn’t bother to reconcile that situation. Who ever made this decision should be fired, or given a second chance to fix this mess that now takes up room on my phone. If something is not done soon, I will be requesting an entire refund 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ this is not the app I paid for. Idk what this is. The app doesn’t work super great at least not for me. I have it on the iPad and iPhone, it gets stuck sometimes, removes effects and changes from other editing apps at times, the brush tool still isn’t back. It’s a bit bulky. It goes up to a 3.5 from the 1 after the change since some things were reintroduced.
