Agent suggested plan which has higher expenses ratio. Got to know Once i have invested. Pratyush PW88060 ### 1/5 — Don’t buy motor claim insurance *2026-05-26* Don’t buy motor claim insurance Very disappointing experience with Policybazaar for my motor insurance claim. I raised my claim on 20 Dec 2025 and submitted all requested documents on time. The final survey report was submitted on 4 Apr 2026, but after that there were repeated delays with no proper updates. On top of the delay, there was also wrong invoice updation from the team’s side, which created additional confusion and caused further unnecessary follow-up from my end. Even after pointing out the issue and sharing the required details again, it was not handled properly. Later I was informed that only CKYC generation was pending and had to be updated by another internal team. Despite multiple calls and emails over several months, I kept getting different responses and no clear timeline. The payment was finally credited today, but the overall experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. A customer should not have to spend months following up for a claim after submitting everything correctly. My suggestion to others: please think carefully before buying motor insurance through Policybazaar if timely claim support and proper coordination matter to you. They are very active and supportive when selling new insurance policies, but when it comes to the claim process, customer support becomes extremely poor. I have purchased all my insurance policies through their app, trusting their service, but during my recent claim process, I felt completely ignored. I contacted their claim executives multiple times, and every time I was told, “Sir, it will be done” or “We will call you back in a few minutes.” However, whenever I received their callback and answered the phone, the call would disconnect immediately without any response from their side. Despite continuously following up, there has been no proper support. Initially, I was assured that the process would be completed within 24 hours, but it has already been 5 days and there is still no progress in my claim. I uploaded all the required documents on the very first day of claim initiation, yet they repeatedly keep asking for the same documents again and again whenever I follow up about the status. Very poor claim handling and extremely frustrating customer experience. I believed that during a medical emergency, I would at least have proper guidance and support. Sadly, my experience turned out to be extremely painful and disappointing. When I got admitted to a hospital that was listed under their cashless network, I expected the process to be smooth. Instead, I was left completely helpless. At a time when my focus should have been on my health and recovery, I was forced to spend hours trying to contact Policybazaar support. Every call was transferred from one team to another, with no one taking responsibility or giving a clear solution. It felt like nobody cared. Despite being admitted to a cashless network hospital, my claim issue was never resolved, and I had no choice but to arrange and pay the entire hospital bill myself during such a stressful situation. The emotional and financial pressure this created was overwhelming. Even after discharge, the struggle continued. The reimbursement process was exhausting, confusing, and again there was no meaningful support from Policybazaar. I felt abandoned at the exact moment when I needed help the most. Health insurance is something people buy for peace of mind during difficult times. Unfortunately, my experience gave me only stress, frustration, and disappointment. Later, after getting married and having a child, I wanted to increase my coverage and decided to try PolicyBazaar based on their marketing claims. I provided the exact same disclosures. However, my application was rejected without any clear explanation. This creates a long-term issue, as such rejections must be declared in all future insurance applications, not just for term insurance. What stands out is the lack of transparency. As a user, you are still required to go through the same documentation and underwriting process as applying directly with an insurer, but with no added clarity or value from the intermediary. There is also no visibility into rejection rates or how often applicants with non-standard medical histories are declined. In practice, the platform seems to work only for straightforward cases with minimal underwriting risk. For others, it introduces unnecessary complications without improving outcomes. I purchased a policy on April 2nd, and even after four days (today is April 6th), my policy has not been issued. The process has been a complete nightmare. I was asked to submit an inspection video twice. Each time I submitted the video, I was told that the video followed all the guidelines and was perfectly fine. However, they keep rejecting it citing "technical issues" and demanding that I redo the entire process again. To make matters worse, their customer support is non-existent. I have tried calling them multiple times to resolve this, but there is absolutely no helpful response or accountability from their end. It feels like I am stuck in a loop of technical glitches with no one to help. If you value your time and peace of mind, think twice before using this platform. I filed a claim for vehicle insurance. First of all it was a claim of less than 50k so they will not send an advisor to check the vehicle. You yourself have to send them the pictures through email only. No other way. So while i was sending them the pictures through there is some error. Address not found. It was so frustrating. I spent so much of my valuable time in this process. Then the advisor told me to upload some pictures of the damaged car. Only 3 to 5 enough she said. So i went to service station where i kept my car for repair took some pictures and later the advisor is telling me that these pictures are not enough . Go and take more. Its just not worth the hassle. These 1 or 2 k discounts are not worth it. I was yelled at when requested to please take me off from the calling list, or guide me how to do it myself. ### 1/5 — Disaster experience *2026-03-18* I am extremely disappointed with the service during a critical time. I was undergoing surgery and expected at least basic support from both the online team and ground assistance. However, not even a single call was received from their side. This is truly a disastrous experience. What is even more concerning is the stark contrast in their behavior — when purchasing a policy, they are extremely proactive and continuously follow up with calls. But when it comes to actual support during a claim or emergency, the response is completely absent. I’ve also come across similar feedback from others, which makes me question the authenticity of the positive reviews online. It feels like the real customer experience is very different from what is portrayed. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to reconsider purchasing policies online from such providers. Even if there is a slight price difference, it is far better to go with a reliable local agent who can provide real support when it actually matters.
