The Polite Camera application let's you take pictures or make fantastic videos with your phone even in situations when the brightness of your phone would disturb others especially if you are sitting in the first row. Imagine the following situations when this application is very useful: - you are watching the performance of your child in the parents evening in the primary or high school. The light is off in the room. The brightness of your phone would ruin the performance. - you are on a wedding of your friends and you are making a video or taking photoes of the event. The brightness of your phone would ruin the event. - you are invited to the concert of your friend. You are sitting in the first row and would like to take some photoes or make video. Whereas, the built in camera app does save the video even if the app is suddenly closed. Furthermore, if you stop the recording, and then shut down the app within a few seconds, the video will not be saved because it wasn’t finished saving it. There’s no way to know when it is or isn’t finished saving, so you just have to give it plenty of time and hope it finished, before you close the app. If you close the app too soon, the video is lost forever. Also it does not save the setting for “torch” to be on during video capture. Every time I start the app, I have to turn torch on. Also it isn’t my preference that it always opens to the settings page. I’d rather it open straight to the camera, so I can start recording more quickly, even if that was an optional feature I had to activate in settings. **Developer response:** I will fix the torch not saving immediately. Thanks for letting me know. I'll also add the option to start with the settings closed. Good idea! I'm really sorry to hear that the recording wasn't saved when the app was closed.
