They are constantly losing connection with the WiFi which requires setting them up from scratch including setting up the surround sound again. I don’t use them all that often maybe that’s part of the problem but makes it that much more frustrating. The sound quality is great on the very rare times it connects and works! Gave up on the rear speakers and now just use the sound bar. There are times though that the sound bar thinks I still have the rear speakers and digital audio signals get messed up. I have to swipe up on the app and re-open the app and connect to the speaker before another song will play. Not the best app in the world. However the speakers sound better than Sonos is. Takes forever to setup your surround sound, can’t use more than 2 rears for surround, cant adjust volume on individual speakers like you can when you stream music on Pandora, can barely hear anything on rears during surround sound. Awful, just awful ### 1/5 — Buggy and useless *2018-12-26, version 4.84.181121* After a month of fighting to get two Omni S2 speakers to work as a surround pair to my Omni bar (which sounds amazing), I decided to surrender and return the two rear speakers because of the buggy WiFi implementation that has made so many customers very mad. Years of customer complains and Polk seems incapable of fixing it! What a shame....the system does sound great... Like many others, it takes me hours to get the speakers connected and to create a surround group. Then, for no apparent reason, both rear speakers disconnect from the WiFi (sometimes a couple of hours later) and it takes HOURS to get it to work again. So frustrating! This issues have been reported since 2014... yes, 2014! I feel bad for the sound engineering team at Polk Audio, who managed to create such a good sound product just to see the system fail in the market due to incompetence by the software team. ### 1/5 — Junk *2018-12-25, version 4.84.181121* Spent over $500 and countless hours trying to setup a surround sound system. Polk should be ashamed. It almost never works. Constantly have to reconnect devices, it almost never connects with music services and drops connection even if it eventually does connect (no, it’s not my internet connection). Finally I had to settle with the Bluetooth direct connect to even get sound out. Wi-Fi portion just doesn’t work. Ever. A room full of trained monkeys, if given enough bananas, could come up with better tech and a better app. If I could give it negative stars I would. ### 1/5 — Complete trash *2022-02-01, version 5.11.190918* Impossible to connect. I own the Omni SB1+ and I recently bought two Omni S2 speakers. I followed the instructions on the app and connected them according to the instructions. I have updated the software and firmware. When I go to select “Surround Sound” the message prompted on the screen reads “No Speaker Detected a master surround speaker is needed to set up rear surrounds.” I’m pretty sure this is an issue with the app. When I click the “Troubleshooting” option on the app, the page is down and loads some kind of programming codes. Tried and tried to reconnect and nothing. I guess I spent all this money on a plain old sound bar that does nothing other than play the sound that comes out of my tv. The instructions could be written a bit better. I have a password on my WiFi and the instructions did not address how to setup the speakers with a password protected system. I was able to figure this out w/o calling, knew my system operated on a WEP setup. Otherwise the speakers are playing on the battery charge for well over 7 hours. ### 5/5 — Great app!
