## What is Polkadot Vault (Parity Signer)?

Polkadot Vault (ex. Parity Signer) turns your iOS device into a cold-storage wallet for Polkadot, Kusama and other Substrate-based networks and parachains.

This application must be used on a dedicated device that has been restored to factory settings and put into airplane mode after installation. 

This is the only way to guarantee Air Gap and keep your private keys offline at all times. Signing transactions and adding new networks is then possible using QR codes through the camera without breaking the Air Gap.

This app is simply too hard to use. Many other multisigs are intuitive. This one is simply not.

This new update doesn’t derive the correct addresses that I was using to sign. I verified by restoring keys from seed twice for two or three different key pairs. I cannot sign any transactions for my current keys with Vault now. I even tried deriving new keys with simple paths (like //1 ) to see if that did it, didn’t help.
