Unlike “working copy”, which charges you $25 for a simple pulll function, it’s totally free for the “pull”.

### 4/5 — custom folder under $10

*2022-12-10*

Love the App, it’s much easier to use than Working Copy, but the price is ridiculous! All I need is custom folder push, and the 3 pushes limit is fine, yet to make git folder visible to other apps is a must, otherwise it’s not a tool - it’s a widget. Developer, consider one-time purchases for small features like custom app, if you must use a subscription for everything

### 5/5 — The best git client for iPad

*2021-12-24*

Even the free version is extremely powerful.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Authentication stopped working, and support is terrible

*2024-12-18*

So I tried a lot of different clients on ipad and iphone and this one worked when on trial. So I purchased the lifetime license. A week or two later, it stopped allowing me to login to gitea. I contacted the developer and well, it took a couple of tries. They then came back and said it works, I gave them the screenshot. I’ve been ghosted since. Buyer beware that if there are issues, support is poor at best.

### 1/5 — Charges a subscription for basic features.

*2023-01-30*

This app requires a subscription for basic features like custom repo locations.

### 2/5 — Not Sure

### 2/5 — Close

*2022-07-27*

Push doesn’t work for Gitlab. I haven’t tried the others but definitely won’t be paying for more broken pushes…

### 3/5 — Can’t connect to private/enterprise GitLab server

*2021-11-04, version 40.0*

Does not support authentication to a self-hosted GitLab instance. Does support GitLab.com

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2026-01-14*

Great application. Simple and functional. I use it with Obsidian, though you do need the premium version. Would love to see automatic syncing as a feature.

### 4/5 — 🔥🤔

so nice - so good

### 4/5 — Works for Obsidian and Github

*2024-12-27*

To get this working with an Obsidian vault stored on Github, you will need a Pro License. It’s also not as straightforward as getting this setup on Working Copy.

### 4/5 — Amazing

Four stars because of the payment I did not pay, but I still got to use it

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great git client

*2025-12-07*

This is a great git client and more feature rich than most of the other ones I have used. It lets me have a mobile first development workflow from an iPad

### 5/5 — Great Design!

*2025-01-19, version 53.0*

I love the App’s design and how simple it is to use and keep track of our Git accounts.

I just have a free request, and in that I was just wondering if you could support Codeberg or ForgeJo. I’m hosting my own ForgeJo instead, and would love to use this app for my instance.

### 5/5 — Awesome Features!

*2024-12-29*

This application is really polished and is perfect for editing on the go. Also, it doesn't force users to buy their premium plan just to push your changes or to unlock core parts of Git. A daily quota of 3 pushes is perfect for standard changes for projects.

### 5/5 — A simple alternative to Working Copy

*2024-12-28*

I needed a way to sync my Obsidian vault across all my devices using Git. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t make this easy on iOS. While Working Copy is great for more in-depth tasks, Polygit is another alternative, and more affordable.

### 5/5 — Pop up kid

### 5/5 — Great!

*2024-10-22*

Just try it lol

### 5/5 — A proper git client!

*2024-04-12*

I appreciate the support for rebase-pull, viewing the history tree. Really nice UI. Everything just works.

Would love to see in-place Git support - I have macOS git clients that can read a interact with a git workspace stored in iCloud Drive, while PolyGit only supports local git workspaces (but these can be backed by files in iCloud Drive). I know it’s not a recommended setup, but it works great for me!

Would also love to see more advanced Git features.

And don’t forget to ensure accessibility is up to scratch - staging changes support doesn’t look too good!
