Хотелось бы, чтобы красные строки были длиннее и чтобы появилось возможность пролистывания книги вниз, а не в бок, как листы ### 2/5 — could be awesome *2021-11-27* this app could be awesome. compared to lingq and readlang, this app allows you to import full pdfs and epub files, images and all. this is amazing, and for that i absolutely love it. but then, you’ve got the bugs. and boy, there are plenty of them. often times the connection to dropbox will stop and won’t return unless you restart the ipad. the only way to get them in with consistency is to export the file from dropbox right into the app — but that took me a lot of time to figure out. at one point i tried to import books through a link and it simply deleted all books i had imported. all of them!! also, it’s impossible to tell which books will import correctly. pdfs with perfect text (not pictures of pages, but real text) won’t work. epub files which should in theory work, lose all of their tables after being imported. so, it’s a gamble, and after you painstakingly test dozens of files, it will delete all of your library. will i stick to it? yes, because i can’t find anything better. but i honestly hate this app for all its potential and really bad, absolutely terrible execution. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2021-05-30* There was only limited or basic translations without buying a subscription to a dictionary. Not many options in the menu & it is not straight forward to sort or search though the books but then the collection of books available is rather small- about 12 of them. Within of first few hours of reading a book I reached the quota so I was asked to buy the app in order to use the learning feature. The second day of reading- the book disappeared altogether from the app, having read half way through only. The learning feature was alright although at times the translation was amiss. Also, to get back to the reading after checking into the learning feature took a few clicks, which often puts you off checking the word as quicker on checking your browser. Recommendations: 1. Would be helpful if the last word checked for learning was highlighted as this would speed up the reading rather than waste time look through the page to find where you left off. 2. Add a feature which would save all your searched words for later recap- as this would improve the learning considerably. ### 4/5 — Pretty Good *2020-01-03* The app is overall very good, I like how it has many language options, and I like how you can translate the word or phrase. The problem that I have is that certain languages have very little or no books at all. Like Korean for example, I also hate that we have to pay to hear the pronunciation of a word! Also why does it say the “quota is exhausted?” This is very frustrating, I don’t know why I need to pay to learn! If you guys improve these things no doubt it will become popular and people will download and use it more often. ### 3/5 — Now works but still need improvement *2019-12-26* I’ve upgraded to professional to have full functionality. It did not work the first time due to iOS upgrade but the developer recently updated it. You can load the books and launch a passage for translation. Unfortunately you can click only on one word per word which slows the reading down. It would be nice to easily click on sentences or passage because the meaning is clear with the whole sentence. Also, the speech button doesn’t work. **Developer response:** This was bug due to new iOS version. We already fix this error in recent updates. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bad update *2026-07-18* I am not sure what happened in the last update, but now it is completely unusable. It got rid of my imported books, and I cannot even import them anymore. I have a pro subscription, but I cannot download any dictionaries. How am I supposed to learn German if I can’t hear it? I have the newest software for my iPhone 11. Also, the format is kinda wonky. You are taken to a separate page every time you need a translation or pronunciation You’re reading.., you need quick access to the sound, and the translation. Not a trip to another page every other word! **Developer response:** What pair of languages you use? From German to English? Теперь не знаю, как ее удалить из читалки? У вас вообще такая функция присутствует? Три точки в правом верхнем углу книги не работают, хотя при нажатии должно появляться меню, где можно книгу как раз и удалить. Поддержка вообще не реагирует на запись, хотя прошло уже несколько месяцев. ### 1/5 — К покупке не рекомендую *2018-02-27, version 2.4.0* Я купил программу, чтобы иметь доступ к оффлайн словарям, но программа переводит без интернета минимальное количество слов а все остальное ищет в яндекс переводчике онлайн. Без интернета вообще не переводит. Ну и за что я заплатил. Похоже на обман. Остановлюсь на этом! *2021-02-03, version 2.9.1* Я только начал пользоваться, но уже нравится! Добавил две книги в ePub без проблем. Во всех аналогах проблема с переводом фразовых глаголов, НО это приложение ЕДИНСТВЕННОЕ , которое делает это! Также возможно добавить свой перевод! Буду тестить далее и есть желание купить подписку! Если и есть читалки с переводом, то нужно удерживать касанием на слове и потом нажимать что-то, для получения перевода. Не так удобно как это реализовано здесь. Однако очень хотелось бы получать больше информации при переводе. Разные варианты например, словосочетания.
