The app is based on the Pomodoro Technique™ that protect you from distractions by laying out your work into short time intervals called “pomodoros” (one pomodoro lasts by default 25 minutes). First time I launched it I couldn't start the timer. The fact that it plays sounds even when the phone is in silent mode is annoying. ### 3/5 — Great, But.... *2011-08-23, version 1.0* Best Pomodoro app I've found, since it let's me take a break even if you finish early (love it!!) But I wish you could enter ALL your tasks for the day. I would grab it now before price increase. I'm currently using both Pomodoro & Promodoro/PomodoroPro for my Pomodoro timers and Pomo has potential to replace both of these. Excited for the bug fixes. One big bugs that needs addressing is that the timer doesn't 'keep going' when you put it in background. When I set the timer, put it in background and later return to it, the timer doesn't move. This is a huge bug. A feature I wish it had is the option to keep the 'ticking' noise on (which is excellent noise btw, sounds like faster tempo version of Pomodoro's tick) while it's in the background. Sometimes my set involves reading mail or processing todo items on iPhone, it'll be great if I can still hear the ticking. :) Great job dev. team on this fine app. Fix the bugs and this app has potential to be #1.  ## Frequently asked questions about Pomo ### What is the Pomodoro Technique used in Pomo?
