## What is Pompeii Novena?

The Pompeii Novena guides you through 54 days of rosary prayer: 27 days of petition and 27 days of thanksgiving. The app remembers which day it is, what you have already prayed and what is still ahead.

PRAYER STEP BY STEP
• Opening prayers with your intention, the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries (and, if you wish, the Luminous Mysteries) and closing prayers.
• A Scripture passage and the fruit of the mystery for each of them.
• A bead counter — or a single tap for the whole decade when you pray on your own rosary.
• Night mode, larger text and read-aloud.

MEDITATIONS IN SEVEN VERSIONS
For each of the 20 mysteries: for young people, parents, married couples, the sick, the elderly, those who feel lost and consecrated persons. Each is paired with public-domain sacred art — Fra Angelico, Raphael, Titian, El Greco and others.

NINE LANGUAGES
Prayers and meditations in Polish, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Slovak, Croatian and Lithuanian. You choose the prayer language independently of your phone's language. The translations are still waiting to be reviewed by native speakers.

THE WHOLE JOURNEY AT A GLANCE
• A calendar of all 54 days and your progress each day.
• Reminders for each part of the rosary, at the times you choose.
• The Supplica to the Queen of the Holy Rosary, solemnly prayed on 8 May and the first Sunday of October.
• A Grace Journal, your novena history and a keepsake when you finish.
• A home-screen widget.

PRIVACY
Your intention and everything you write stay on your phone. No account, no ads, no tracking — the app does not connect to the internet.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-20

The novena in nine languages. Prayers, mysteries, meditations and the Supplica are now available in Polish, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Slovak, Croatian and Lithuanian. Choose the prayer language in Settings, independently of your phone's language. The translations are still waiting to be reviewed by native speakers, and the app says so.

Artwork captions and the intention “known to God” now follow the prayer language too.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-16

Co nowego w wersji 1.1?
• Rozważania z dziełami sztuki sakralnej — przy każdej z 20 tajemnic różańca zobaczysz reprodukcję obrazu dawnych mistrzów, m.in. Fra Angelico, Rafaela, Caravaggia, El Greca, Tycjana i Velázqueza.
• Nowy wygląd rozważania na początku dziesiątki — obraz, cytat z Pisma Świętego, owoc tajemnicy i myśl na dany etap nowenny w jednym, czytelnym układzie.
• Pełny tryb ciemny — wszystkie ekrany dopasowują się do ciemnego wyglądu iPhone'a, także ekran rozpoczęcia nowenny.
• Źródła ilustracji — nowy ekran w zakładce „Więcej” z autorami i tytułami dzieł.
