### 2/5 — Not impressed

*2019-04-02, version 2.2.12*

We don’t get any graph, the app just crashes and closes itself. Some days we get a percentage of daily recommended activity, but that’s all (iPhone 6, iOS12). Tonight it downloaded one dog’s data and we got % daily activity, but it lost the other dog’s and we got nothing at all. Despite reporting the bug through the app (including sending a video of what was happening) no one has been in touch and the view count on the video has not increased, suggesting it hasn’t been watched. Disappointed.

### 2/5 — Great concept.... app needs fixing

*2019-03-16, version 2.2.12*

I love the idea of this app with the tracker how ever on iOS the app is extremely buggy and I cannot actually connect the tracker or update the sync! The app crashes and I have to delete the app, reinstall and hope the tracker connects with out it crashing again! I’ve barely got 5 mins of use from it! Oh and the graphs don’t work no does the highly active/active or rest monitors work. Just tells you want percentage of exercise they’ve done! So in reality only 10% of the app works.... if you get it working!

Please fix these bugs!!

### 1/5 — Poor customer service

*2019-01-27, version 2.2.12*

This app hasn’t worked since we got it our dog for Christmas (over a month now)
Despite assurances by the app’s team that they would review my problem and get back to me. They still haven’t!
Disappointing that I can’t even open the app to see how my doggies progress is doing.
Considering this is over £30 its not worth it to be just a glorified tag!

### 1/5 — Very Disappointed

*2018-07-22, version 2.2.0*

As mentioned in other reviews, the method for attaching the device needs to be looked at.
If this was the only issue I’d be fine but unfortunately the device is so inaccurate that I’m not bothered if I lose it.

I regularly use my Fitbit to record the routes I do with the dogs and was really excited to compare our mileage, expecting the dogs to have covered potentially double what I do as they’re off leash for the majority of the route.
I was obviously surprised to find that the app recorded the dogs to have done a third of what I’d done.

I exchanged a few emails with Pooch Play to see if I’d done something wrong in the setup but was advised that “Miles are for recreational purposes” and that it is difficult to accurately record the distance due to the variation in gait and stride length. They advised me to reset the device but this hasn’t made any notable difference.

I bought the device as a “Fitbit for dogs” it falls so short of this!

Pointless!

### 5/5 — Brilliant product and App

*2018-01-08, version 2.1.6*

Absolutely love this tracker and the app that supports it! Really simple and easy which is an added bonus. Helps keep my little Dachshund Dexter active and I like how you can add their details such as age, weight, height and food and it gives the suggest food portion and recommendation for exercise.

### 5/5 — Great products!

*2017-11-15, version 2.1.6*

The app is well designed and simple to use

I have it set up with my tracker, which is brilliant and very reasonably priced

Good job pooch play!

### 5/5 — So Smart

*2017-11-13, version 2.1.6*

Bought it and now it never leaves my dog. Life is busy and having a tracker makes my life easier and the dogs better! Much respect to PoochPlay.

### 5/5 — What a great idea!

*2017-11-13, version 2.1.6*

It’s Fitbit for doggies!!!

### 5/5 — Changed my dog’s lifestyle!

*2017-11-13, version 2.1.6*

This is such a wonderful app and has really helped me learn more about how to keep my dog healthy! Highly recommend 😊

### 5/5 — Fantastic product

*2017-11-12, version 2.1.6*

The PoochPlay tracker is a great piece of technology. It allows us to monitor our dogs health, exercise and food consumption. It all links up to the app which is so easy to use, and also shows us that the dog walker has actually turned up!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t even sign in the app

*2023-06-03, version 2.2.27*

Can’t even sign in to the app, it just hangs

### 1/5 — Terrible app - unusable

*2023-05-14, version 2.2.27*

This crashed repeatedly for a week but was manageable. It then wouldn’t upload data, when it did it was inaccurate. It progressively got worse until the app wouldn’t open. I deleted it and re-downloaded it and now it won’t let me log in or set up a new account. Contacted customer services multiple times but no response. Without a working app the tracker system is useless.

### 1/5 — Buggy, constantly crashes, incorrect data

*2022-03-21, version 2.2.25*

Graphs don’t work
Active time doesn’t work
Sleep time inaccurate

App and tracker rarely connect without crashing.

Really unimpressed only had it a week 🤦🏼‍♀️

### 1/5 — No golden doodle??

*2021-07-31*

No support for a golden doodle, a super popular breed nowadays. We have a mini golden doodle and I didn’t expect them to have that, but I figured they would at least have a golden doodle.

### 1/5 — Gender error

*2021-04-07*

I downloaded the app to try it to keep track of my puppy; however, when I started adding her information and I clicked submit, it gave me a gender error no matter which gender to pick, so I wasn’t able to try the app since I was not able to get out if that screen. Too bad, it looked promising.

### 1/5 — App crashes all the time

*2020-09-14, version 2.2.12*

Have to delete app and reinstall for the app to update the data. When you try to see the amount of activity the app crashes.

### 1/5 — Terrible.

*2019-05-31, version 2.2.12*

The app does not work, it’s not accurate at all. It counts dogs moving their head or shaking water off as steps! Complete farce of a company. Rubbish app and a rubbish company. Copied another app and got it wrong completely. Seems like a huge scam.

### 1/5 — Want my money back

*2019-04-05, version 2.2.12*

Ordered the tracker on the 20th of March, nothing happened since then. Can't track my order, they don't answer emails ( I sent 2 ), no phone number on their website. I just want a refund.

### 1/5 — Appalling

*2019-03-25, version 2.2.12*

I bought a tracker and it won’t sync to the app at all. All the problems they report as fixed in the history updates are not fixed. When you contact the company for support, nobody answers you.
Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Lies!

*2019-03-15, version 2.2.12*

App is absolutely horrendous
Device is crap
PoochPlay company is rubbish
Can’t even contact them ridiculous !
Waste of money on the device
I highly recommend, you use a different company!!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-02-17, version 2.2.12*

Really easy and it saves my dog’s data when not connected to the net

### 5/5 — Excellent product

*2020-02-01, version 2.2.12*

I find this app very relatable, easy to use and fool proof. Syncs with the device seamlessly.

### 5/5 — Does what it says on the box

*2020-01-30, version 2.2.12*

I have 2 dogs and I love it. It is so easy to sync. When I come home, all I have to do it open the app and it updates itself and shows what my boys were up to whilst I was away. Very easy to use. In fact, I don't even think I've the trackers in days. It feels like magic lol. The only issue I faced was that the app kept showing both trackers when I first tried to pair them with my phone and I wasn't sure how to go about it. The user guide explained it and then it was pretty straight forward from there. It's just an idea, but have you guys considered having a user guide within the app? Saves paper. Saves the planet.

### 5/5 — Great app! Fitbit for dogs!

*2019-09-02, version 2.2.12*

Recommended by a friend, works like a charm

### 5/5 — Really good and super light. App is really easy to use. - for Apple

*2019-03-02, version 2.2.12*

Totally worth buying. Doesn’t fall off and data is very accurate. - for Amazon

### 5/5 — Really activity tracking app

*2018-12-11, version 2.2.12*

My lovely Weimaraner, as big as he is, has a fat appetite. Without PoochPlay, wouldn’t have seen it!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2018-10-11, version 2.2.9*

I got my Poochplay as a gift in September and absolutely love it. I have the black activity tracker, and Initially I used the app to mainly to see how much exercise Mollie was doing, but love that I can see how much food to feed her too! I also use the app to put in my vet appointments (i always forget).

### 5/5 — Amazing and useful app

*2018-10-11, version 2.2.9*

Once the app was downloaded it was super easy to set up my dog’s profile. She is an extremely active and healthy dog but it is great to know how much food she should be getting on a daily basis. The amount of recommended food changes based on how much activity she does on that day. The graph is also very useful and easy to read. The actual tracker fits nicely on her collar and we love all the new colours it comes in. Definitely recommend!

### 5/5 — Great fitness and wellness monitor

*2018-04-23, version 2.1.12*

Had it about 2 weeks now on my frenchie and he has been out and about doing his thing. Great to see how many miles he actually clocks up and interesting to see his peaks of activity combined with his rest period. Now we both have to make sure we get our daily steps in which is a great reminder on those busy days.

I had the clip attachment for the first day but changed to the sports attachment as it was more robust for his activity. He has been paddling in the sea and all still working fine.

I will be uploading all his vaccination and feed details so I can get the reminders and maximise the app to its full potential.

### 5/5 — Loving poochplay

*2018-03-18, version 2.1.9*

Love the trackers and the app. Great seeing how far the dogs go when we are out. I have a small pack of little athletes who love nothing more than a good canicross session. Now we can compare notes on who’s clocking up the most steps
