### 5/5 — Great smooth working app

*2026-03-05*

This app works great and makes it easy to connect to different people at Claffey pools and the customer as well. Way better than the previous app we use to use at claffey, both the customer and us techs love the app. Oh and it’s easy for us to know when the customer leaves a good review and the app makes it easy to look at previous readings or trips to a customers house.

### 5/5 — AWESOME

*2026-02-25, version 14.4*

I work with Pool Brain every day at work with one of the Nations TOP 50! Pool company’s Pool Ology here in Cen Tex, this app is amazing and simplifies everything you could ask for. Enough great things can not be said honestly

### 4/5 — Useful app

*2026-02-23, version 14.4*

It does drain my battery faster than usual due to the tracking but I will turn it off most of the time. Definitely useful to “CYA” when dealing with a difficult customer.

### 5/5 — Love this app

### 5/5 — Love this company

*2026-02-17, version 14.2*

Awesome service great product.

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2026-02-17*

Very easy to use and great way to communicate with office staff and pool owners. Thankfully, I haven’t had any trouble with battery usage that the other reviewers mentioned.
The workflow for each stop is customizable from the admin portal so you can adjust which steps require photos to minimize steps on site.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2026-02-11, version 14.2*

Switched from a software similar, but not even close to comparable. Great platform.

### 5/5 — Owner

*2026-01-28, version 14.1*

I feel Pool Brain is the innovative leader in the problem solve for pool route service management software. Their integrations are robust and proactive.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pool Brain has potential, but the navigation system really holds it back.

*2026-06-15*

So many parts of the app need improvement, but the biggest issue is the route navigation. The way routes are set up is confusing and inefficient, and you can’t reorder pools in a way that actually sticks for future use. For a tool that’s supposed to streamline a technician’s day, the routing system ends up creating more work instead of saving time.

If Pool Brain could fix the navigation and allow permanent route customization, it would make a huge difference for techs in the field.

### 1/5 — Technicians hate this app

*2026-05-13*

Here’s a strong but still professional review that communicates the issues clearly without sounding like a personal attack:

I do not recommend the Pool Brain app at all from a technician standpoint. The platform feels heavily focused on office management and customer-facing features while largely ignoring the actual experience of the field technicians who are forced to use it every day.

The app is extremely glitchy, drains battery life rapidly, and becomes even less stable when a phone is placed in Low Power Mode, which is often necessary because of how much battery the app consumes. Many functions also stop working properly when multitasking between Pool Brain and other apps needed in the field.

What is most frustrating is that many of these bugs and issues have been reported for long periods of time with very slow response or resolution from the developers. Instead of improving reliability and technician usability, updates often feel like they add more complications.

Unfortunately, I am required to use this app through my employment, but if I had a choice, I would avoid it completely.

### 1/5 — Worst efficiency flow ever

*2026-03-16, version 14.5*

The inability to reorganize the order of which task you must complete first is atrocious. Not to mention, if you need to check on the job’s previous history, you have to back out so many steps which, by the way, every tap lags a few seconds. There are many more gripes, but I need to get going.

### 1/5 — Lazy, Poorly Optimized App

*2026-02-11, version 14.2*

Lazy business owners use this app as a way of ensuring their pool technicians are doing what they say they’re doing, which at face value doesn’t seem bad. The problem with this app is that it will destroy the lithium batteries in most phones because it is always tracking location, requires ~15 photos to be taken per job, and is so poorly optimized that some days I have to start re-charging my phone at 10 am because it’s already below 20%. That coupled with the heat and being outside makes this app one of the WORST for phone health. Half the time the photos are required to be taken out of order (take before picture AFTER service is done and take after photo before service has even started) because I guess it’s really really hard to code commands in order. This app removes any freedom your pool techs may have and sets them on a single track they can’t deviate from (since their every waking moment while the app is open is being tracked) and SOMEHOW the auto-route function is far worse than RouteXL, which is a free service. Wouldn’t recommend, find another way to make sure your techs are doing their jobs instead of constant surveillance and destroying their phone batteries.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-12-08, version 13.8*

This app is a joke.

### 1/5 — Absolutely Horrible App That Creates Headaches

*2025-11-26*

Whoever designed and created this app clearly has NEVER serviced a pool before. Pool Brain is not user-friendly, extremely inefficient, messes up logistics, causes work to be slower, and drains significant battery life. Seems like they designed this app to heavily micromanage its workers. I would NOT recommend this app to anybody even if it was free. I have yet to see one positive feedback for this app. If your company is looking to use this app, try it while servicing a pool and you will instantly realize that it is complete trash.

### 1/5 — IT’S TOTAL GARBAGE

*2025-10-22, version 13.4*

A Technicians don’t work with this app

### 1/5 — New update is bad

*2025-09-22, version 13.2*

Latest update made the app even worse. Routes are scrambled every week even if you lock them. It’s slow and glitchy constantly.

### 1/5 — Latest update awful

*2025-09-09, version 13.1*

Pool brain was, at minimum, functional for a pool techs job. This latest update has made the app borderline unusable, complicating practically every feature and making life more difficult. Please put the app back to how it was ASAP.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-08-05, version 12.9*

Taking too much time, draining my battery and keyboard doesn’t allow me to write a point in number

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to work

*2026-05-17*

Excellent app. Easy to worth with. Simple pictures that don’t lag when loading. Better then skimmer in my opinion. I’ve used 3 different apps and it’s the simplest yet strong on the communication

### 5/5 — Best app out there

*2026-05-09, version 15.1*

Been in the industry 20 years. Nothing compares.

### 5/5 — I love y’all but…

*2026-05-05, version 15.0*

You guys should add an option to take videos in the alerts/Repair needed section. Also, be able to photos using front facing camera. Other than that y’all are awesome. Love Pool Brain!

### 5/5 — Love Pool Brain

I can’t say enough great things about Pool Brain and their team. It has completely streamlined the way we manage our pool business. The app is incredibly user friendly, reliable, and packed with features that make scheduling, tracking services, and communicating with customers so much easier.

### 5/5 — Highly recommended

*2026-03-06, version 14.5*

Very efficient and easy to use

### 5/5 — Best of many out there

*2026-03-06, version 14.5*

I have been very pleased with the system as a whole. As always a few glitches but they are very responsive and happy to help

### 5/5 — Pool Company Owner

*2026-03-06, version 14.5*

Within the first week of utilizing Pool Brian we generated roughly about $7500 in repairs just simply from having the technician report the pressure gauge readings. When customers found that the gauges were bad they looked at the option of replacing their old units.

### 5/5 — PB review

*2026-03-06*

I’ve been using PB for over a year and may i say this app is great some may say it’s the best. I for one will keep using it for the foreseeable future and would never go back to these low quality apps you call competition. PB has my 5 star rating 😎
