Used this on my pool for the first time today and it says to lower my salt level.  My swg salinity range is 3500 - 4500.  It’s at 4500 so no need to lower it.  There is no one size fits all for salt level

Should be able to customize the order of the readings input page from top to bottom. If i want pH first then i should be able to move it there. Be nice to mirroe the test strip or test equip in the same order

Great app, really helps me manage main pool chemicals as I’m new to it all. Would be better if there was additional information on how to optimise/utilise other chemicals such as ‘sunblock’ or calcium hardness, etc. User enters chemicals used & it offered recommendations.

Every time I enter a value it changes once I confirm. The ph number goes down by a few .01, and the chlorine goes up by .1
Since all I am using egos for is to track my pool levels it makes it pretty useless. Paper and pencil would be better.

After trying 4 other pool apps without success I tried POOL DOCTOR. The positive results were evident in less than 24 hours. I've been relying on this app with 100% satisfaction since that day. My pool is surrounded by trees. A professional pool guy couldn't get the results ihave using the POOL DOCTOR. 
THIS APP HAS SAVED ME $100'S OF DOLLARS!

I use this app for my hot tub and I clearly know that the chemicals are off with the readings but this says it’s fine.

This app is good but 
1. It’s unclear if the developer is adding new features. The app contains a link to what’s coming next from the author. Next, but not done. 
2. Calculations especially for acid are quite different from what the pool store prescribes. My pool has new plaster, so pH and Ca are always trending up on their own. 

Good app, but seeking another app that doesn’t have these shortcomings.

Unfortunately I purchased the app and didn’t realize it does not work for pools using Baquacil products

I recently downloaded this just to see the accuracy, for a 15000 gal pool.
My readings came to
7.4 ph
40 alk
4.0 chlorine 

I typed it in to find out that they want me to add 12 pounds of bicarbonate and .2 chlorine reducer.
This is what I KNOW from experience, if I were to add the amount they suggested it would increase my alkalinity to above 200 for sure, you want your alkalinity at 80 and the chlorine will dissipate in time never ever use chlorine reducers it’s a waste of money. Not only would the bicarbonate raise my alkalinity to unethical level it would also increase my ph 10 part per pound, so in this case my ph was 7.4 which is perfect, do the math and the ph would be way above an 8.

If you need pool advice I’ll give it to you for free. 
Add 1.5 pounds of shock per 10,000 gallons and if you have green in your pool one pound extra on top of that figure. Add shock once a week. Brush once a week, check your skimmers as often as you can. Vacuum your pool, if you’re having suction issues and the suction just isn’t there close the main drain to your pool so the skimmers get the full suction, use the skimmer closest to the pump it has better suction. But always remember to reopen that main drain. 
Skim the top of the water once a week.
If your ph is at an 8 add one gallon of muratic acid per 10,000 gallons wait a few days and recheck your ph. If it’s still at an 8 that means it was above an 8.  Next week add one more gallon and go from there, adding muratic acid will lower your ph and your alkalinity. Don’t worry if it drops your alkalinity below 80 just wait until next week and add 1 pound of bicarbonate to raise it 10 parts.
Don’t add a lot just add a pound and wait until next week, if it’s still low add another. If your p.h goes to 7.8 and your alkalinity is a 70 don’t worry it will naturally balance out.

My chlorine level is way low, but the pool is very small. Evidently, all I have to do is add 0 pounds of chlorine and everything will be fine. Useless!

I have the muriatic acid set to 31.4%, but suggestion tells how much of 15.7% muriatic acid to add.

The app allows you to change units for type of acid , for example I use 31% muriatic but when I put in my test values it still says add so many ounces of 15% acid.

Pretty much useless.  Sorry!  Whilst it has the underlying formulae and calcs, it is all presented in a very illogical layout that just did not work for me.  Would be much better if you could simply enter your current and target values for a parameter and hence get the amount of chemical needed.   Instead it is based on an entire measurement set plus it gives the output in "scoops".. who does that!!  Would have been far better to just present output in Lbs Oz .. plus offer a metric option since most of the world does not use Lb and Oz!

I don't like this app, doesnt really tell me what to do if my levels are off & it will link to th pool cloud by itunes. Should've investgated more because if i'd have known that I wouldn't have wasted my money.  It could be user error too, but either way, not a fan 👎🏻

When I compare the chemical recommendations between Pool Doctor and the store I take samples to test, Pool Doctor matches their recommendations closer than any other pool app I’ve tried. I wanted to compare apps to store tests before I started testing myself and adding chemicals.

Early days yet but my initial findings are extremely positive.
I really like the ability to select from a list of available chemicals used to achieve the desired effect. 
Not yet tried in anger but believe that this application will provide me a concise measured approach to controlling my 15000 gallon indoor pool chemicals.

Works great for pool management. You test. Put your numbers in the app and it will tell you what chemicals and amount you need for the pool water by how many gallons of water in the pool.

Can i assume this can be used on a spa too seen as you set all your own parameters?
I do use this for my spa and it seems to help me out with levels good but can anyone clarify
