## What is PoolCheck?

PoolCheck answers the question every pool family asks: who's at the pool?

Whether you're packing up the kids or wondering if your friends are already there, PoolCheck gives you a live view of your pool community.

Auto or manual — your choice. Turn on auto check-in and PoolCheck handles your arrivals and departures via geofence. Prefer not to share precise location? Manual mode works too — tap to check in when you arrive, tap to leave. Either way, your friends see who's at the pool.

Plan ahead. Headed over later? Plan to Go lets friends know you're on your way so they can join you.

Bring the family. Add family members and guests to your check-ins. Family members who join PoolCheck later link automatically by phone number.

Friend-gated privacy. Your check-ins are only visible to your approved friends. Mute notifications from specific friends, or hide your activity from anyone on your list without unfriending them.

Discover pools nearby. When adding a pool, PoolCheck shows pools already on the app within walking distance. Tap to join instantly — no codes, no owner approval.

Delete your account anytime. Your data goes with it.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-11

This update fixes a bug where "left the pool" notifications could arrive
hours late, leaving friends thinking you were still there after you'd
gone. The app can now detect a departure more reliably while you're
checked in.

Also in this release:

• Adding a pool in a busy area (like a downtown or town center) now
  suggests a smaller auto-check-in radius by default, so a nearby
  restaurant or shop doesn't get mistaken for the pool. Always
  adjustable when you add the pool.

• Fixed a bug where messaging a friend could use the wrong country code,
  making the text undeliverable.

• Permission prompts (camera, contacts, location, etc.) now appear in
  Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Dutch on devices set to those
  languages, instead of always showing in English.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-07

This update fixes a bug where the invite link sent to friends didn't always
lead to PoolCheck's App Store page. If you've invited friends recently and
they had trouble finding the app, it's fixed now — feel free to send the
invite again.

Also in this release:

• Adding friends is smoother — a keyboard display bug is fixed, and you can
  now optionally browse your full contacts list (not just people at your
  pools) when adding a friend. The Add Friend screen is also tidier, with
  collapsible sections and an inline "Selected" list.

• Fixed a bug where existing friends could incorrectly show as "not on
  PoolCheck" when browsing contacts.

• Fixed pool open/closed hours showing incorrectly for travelers — a pool's
  hours now always reflect its own local time, not wherever you happen to be.

• Your Friend Activity feed and Upcoming Plans now focus on friends at pools
  you're also part of, cutting out unrelated activity from friends you don't
  share a pool with.

• Fixed a display bug affecting certain shared/family account names in
  notifications and friend lists.

This update improves reliability and fixes several issues:

• Adding a pool works smoothly again — address search is fixed, and the "on PoolCheck" list now shows pools near you instead of everywhere.

• Drop-off and pickup prompts are more reliable: the drop-off reminder now waits for you instead of expiring before you open the app, and the pickup prompt no longer checks your kids out by mistake.

• Fewer stray notifications — we fixed cases that could briefly show you back at the pool right after leaving, or send a late "left the pool" alert.

• Clearer badges — a red count now points you to the right tab so you can spot friend requests and reminders fast.

• A clearer Cancel option when you're about to create a pool that already exists.

This update makes PoolCheck smarter, friendlier, and more reliable.

Smarter auto check-in. A rebuilt arrival engine reliably tells a real
visit from driving or walking past — so your friends only hear about it
when you actually show up.

Drop-offs and pickups, handled. Dropping the kids at the pool? PoolCheck
can check them in without checking you in. When you come back, it offers
to check them out. Helpful prompts you can turn off anytime.

One tidy check-in. A single "Who's going?" list puts you at the top with
your family below — bring everyone, or just the kids. Tap your status pill
on the home screen to quick-edit who's there, your note, or your time
without opening a new screen.

Plans that make sense. Add a note to a "Plan to Go," see a friend's plans
for the days ahead in their own section, and tap any friend's activity for
the full details.

Made yours. Pick a personal color for your initials from a 24-color
palette, and reposition a photo before it's saved so faces stay centered.

More control. Per-day pool hours, quiet hours that are actually quiet,
delete your activity history anytime, and a new About screen.

International phone numbers, plus a long list of reliability fixes from
real-world summer use.
