### 2/5 — Too much starting over.

*2019-08-30*

Game is a mess, could be good but you keep starting over and going back through the same things over and over.

### 4/5 — Hard but Fun

*2016-12-29*

It's hard to find the solution, but when you find the killer it's so satisfying!

### 2/5 — Title

*2015-06-01, version 1.3*

My reaction to finding out who the murderer is, shouldn't be a string of angry curses.

### 3/5 — Good, but so frustrating

*2014-08-10*

The plot was good, very entertaining, but it's SO annoying at the end where if you make a single mistake you have to go back to the beginning. This needs sorting. It would be a great game if this annoyance wasn't present. Other than that, I would have gave 5 stars

### 4/5 — Overall good game

*2014-07-29*

It kept my interest levels up without the need for graphics. It reminds me of multiple choice books I used to read as a child. It is very annoying. To have to go back to the beginning having made just a little mistake. Though.

### 4/5 — Fab!

*2014-02-21*

This app is really fun! It is simply a murder mystery game, there are no distracting graphics or pictures nor are there adverts. The storyline is twisting and fun to be a part of. The only downside I would say is that they make you start again, luckily I didn't have to, but if I had I probably would have closed the app. There are lots of questions to work your way through so starting again would be tiresome, however this feature does also add some panic to the game. I particularly enjoyed the fact that you got to add your own name, this made it more personal. However I did feel that the implimentary deduction did go on for too long and got a little boring. If I was to make this app I would add more stories as I wouldn't want to repeat this one. Apart from that this app is a really fun game that didn't get too boring. I would definitely recommend it as a way to spend a lazy afternoon :)

### 3/5 — Implausible

*2013-11-19, version 1.3*

Good game and interesting style of storytelling, but the crime is less deduction and more guesswork. Moments at the end were illogical. I love puzzles but there was a "twist" in the story that was basically baseless. Altogether frustrating as hell.

### 2/5 — Clunky

*2013-08-26*

Glossing over the plot holes in this murder mystery, the game's mechanics are just not enjoyable. If you choose the wrong option, for the most part you must begin entire sequences over no matter how far along you'd gotten.

Gets an extra star because most murder mysteries aren't really about factual plausibility, but the creativity of the crime. Definitely creative, here.

### 4/5 — Good

*2013-08-17*

I really enjoyed being a detective! Looking for clues and interrogating people. And in the end I found the murderer! :) But when you get something wrong its back to the start of the whatever you were saying, which was annoying and unrealistic. Overall, very good!

### 5/5 — LOVE

*2013-07-29, version 1.3*

this is the best murder mystery game I've ever played. it's so thrilling. and the end is nerveracking; as you can not make a mistake(:
please make another

### 4/5 — Good game but bad ending

*2013-07-19*

Good game and very good if you like the mystery type stuff. Gets your brain working. Good story and set up.

Only down is the end, when after spending lots of time working the case out, you only get one shot at the end to choose someone as the murderer. If you get it wrong you must start the entire game again, and that is very boring.

Maybe if a checkpoint or something was put in the middle or at an important spot in the game to make it much more fun if you make a wrong accusation, then it would be much more entertaining and i would play the game again and again

### 3/5 — Takes forever, and not in a good way

*2013-07-18*

This is a good idea that is fairly well-developed, but after the first choice or two, it really turns into guess and check work. Because there is only one right path, and any others lead you back to the beginning of the scene, the number of dead ends just gets exponentially more frustrating, especially if you mess anything up at the end. Could be much better, but the game concept is too good to call it a flop.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2013-07-12, version 1.3*

This game is challenging but entertaining.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t recommend

*2021-04-12*

The game is a lot of fun until the end. If you accuse the murderer wrong, you lose. Don’t think exactly how the app developers thought? You lose. It’s pretty much a guessing game. And when you lose you have to go through the entire game again, for no reason. But here’s the catch: unless you pay 1.99, if you fail the end and get a game over you have to wait 20 minutes before it’s over.
Until the part where you have to guess the murderer, play on your own but for the ending I recommend using a game guide so you don’t have to deal with replaying the game

### 1/5 — Tedious and boring

*2017-07-16*

I had the mystery solved after a couple minutes but because of the frankly ridiculous sets of pre-Chosen things to say it took me over an hour to get absolutely nowhere near where I would have been if I was able to chose my words (It was the guy who cut his arm because he was the most suspicious of the three I didn't go farther in the game but I believe the manager could also be the murderer considering he was so eager to leave and that being an authority figure he'd be able to blackmail his employees into lying for him

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2016-07-23*

At the end of the game when you have to find the flaws in the killers argument, if you select the wrong one you have to restart THE ENTIRE GAME!!! Such a waste of time

### 1/5 — No solution

*2016-01-04*

I have tried selecting every option in the "make a deduction" menu and have not solved the case. I have also selected I give up and it won't let me. There is nothing else for me to do. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Good plot, painfully long and time wasting.

*2015-06-29*

The plot and backstory to this mystery is well-detailed and thorough, and lets the player have a chance at cracking the case. Unfortunately, some key elements of the the game's execution are flawed. I felt that it was important to allow the player to have many chances to change their answers throughout the story, which this game did for the MOST part. By the time I was near the end, I correctly selected the murderer- but during the final accusation I accidentally hit one wrong button, letting the killer roam free (I only learned I was right after scouring walk-throughs to make this review justified). I would understand if I guessed the killer wrong, needing to start the game over... But I didn't. How is that fair?

### 1/5 — Frustration

*2014-04-06, version 1.3*

This is a pretty good game but if you mess up on any question at the end then you basically are gonna be repeating the same questions over and over again. I still haven't got past the deduction because the game basically won't let me.

### 1/5 — Let me type!

*2014-01-08, version 1.3*

I can't even write a review. The app is preventing it... That's really strange. I was unhappy with the end. One wrong button (which seemed logical and plausible) made the game start over.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2013-06-11, version 1.3*

This game is horribly inaccurate about how forensic science works (you can't test glass, lung contents, do a full blood analysis and test a rag for chloroform all at a crime scene. On top of that the options you have make no sense and these deductions are just uneducated guesses based off one small thing. Horrible game that has no logical progression.

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2012-11-26*

Game seems good but I can't get past the first part it says you have to deduce the bleach found into your enquiry but it won't let me very annoying anyone tell me how to do it

### 1/5 — Wonderful until the end

*2012-07-12, version 1.3*

I loved this app until the very end when I figured out who the murderer was and I couldn't prove it because the app decided that the real murderer should get off clean!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A great game

*2018-01-04*

It’s a really well thought out story that’s engaging and interesting to figure out, and the stakes are real (if you get it wrong, it may send you back to the very beginning!) It feels like a case straight out of Ace Attorney. Like a good book that you get to star in.

### 5/5 — Super fun!

*2017-02-24*

If you like mysteries, this game is a must play. You actually have to pay attention to everything you see or hear, and most seemingly innocuous things can end up playing a major role!

What I didn't like about the game was how there was no way to think of a motive, it would have been fun if we could deduce it too... Instead, the only way of finding it out is in the murderer's confession. Someone once said a murder needs means, motive and opportunity, and it's sad that one of those three is impossible to deduce.

Another thing I didn't like is that, after getting the suspect right, you have to think of the one suspicious thing in their story - but most of the things I thought weren't options! Like (spoilers ahead) how did we find chloroform in the victim's lungs if it was a suicide? He wouldn't have been clear-minded enough to kill himself if he had enough to be picked up by forensics. And how would the murderer be at all related to the victim being fired, if that was the director's fault?

Plus I still want to know where that sawdust smell came from, it's the true mystery of this game lol

### 5/5 — Loved it!

*2016-03-17*

I am a person who loves to sit down and play a mystery game for a while. This game seemed like it was almost made for me! I loved the suspense and the logic-type structure of the game! Also, contrary to other reviews, I solved it- so, yes, it is solvable, people!

### 5/5 — Great free app

*2015-06-26*

Great storyline. Really makes you think. But near the ending it makes you replay the game if you mess up. Would've been better to replay that section of the story instead. Overall it was really fun. Hope to see more in the future.

### 5/5 — Loved it!

*2014-10-07*

I am a huge Castle fan, and have been looking for a game where you could solve a murder. Most of those games out there are stupid hidden object games, but not this one! I loved that it really made you think hard and that it wasn't just a quick little puzzle. The app should have multiple cases to solve, though. I want another challenge!

### 5/5 — Future Changing!!!

*2014-08-01*

This game was so fun an interesting!! I always thought that being a detective was boring but after this game it made me look at the world differently....I think I finally know what I want to do with my life!!

### 5/5 — MORE

*2014-03-09, version 1.3*

I love these games, make more!!!!!

### 5/5 — Great game but could be longer or make a new one.

*2013-11-30*

The game is good but it's done when you find the murderer before you know it. Make a new episode and I'd download and play for sure. Very entertaining.

### 5/5 — Maravilhoso!

*2013-08-01*

Um dos melhores jogos que já joguei! Perfeito!

### 5/5 — Fun

*2013-07-31, version 1.3*

It is such a fun game!!!!! Very challenging!!!
