### 2/5 — Notification trash

*2026-07-11, version 4.48.0*

Demands that it “requires” notifications access, then offers no options and spams with begging you to use the service non stop. What trash. Service seems ok but this app is a dumpster fire of trash.

### 4/5 — The Best !!!

*2026-06-25, version 4.47.0*

My wife absolutely LOVES POPLIN. The laundry comes clean and fresh. Plus it makes her life easier.

### 1/5 — Damp laundry + bare minimum support

*2026-06-17, version 4.46.0*

I was really excited to try Poplin for the first time, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing.

I sent out two loads of normal household laundry (jeans, t-shirts, sweatpants, underwear, socks, etc.) and received them back folded while still damp. Not just one or two items—many items throughout both loads were noticeably damp, with some wet enough that they needed to be dried again before they could be worn or put away.

I contacted support immediately and spent approximately 45 minutes working through a bot and then a live agent, who told me someone would follow up by email. I explained that my preferred resolution was to have the laundry redone by a different Laundry Pro and to receive some compensation for the inconvenience.

Instead, I was offered account credits. The problem is that credits don’t solve the issue I paid to avoid. I paid to have clean, dry laundry returned today. Using the credits would require my laundry to be picked up again tomorrow and returned another day later, meaning I’d get usable laundry several days after I originally needed it.

By the time I requested enough credit to at least use same-day service, communication stopped. What had been quick responses suddenly became hours of silence, and the window for same-day service passed.

The entire reason I used Poplin was because I was overwhelmed this week and needed to take laundry off my plate. Instead, I spent time inspecting damp clothes, contacting support, waiting for responses, and now I still have to rewash, redry, and refold everything myself.

One additional concern: the Laundry Pro assigned to my order was listed as “Christina,” but my Ring camera footage shows someone else delivering my laundry — it raises questions about who actually handled my clothing and who had access to my personal information, address, and home.

It’s frustrating because the pickup and delivery process itself went smoothly, and I genuinely wanted this service to work. Unfortunately, between the damp laundry, the lack of a meaningful resolution, and the communication issues, I can’t recommend it based on my experience.

### 1/5 — Wong advertising

*2026-06-16, version 4.45.1*

Waste of time

### 4/5 — Helpful service

*2026-06-13, version 4.45.1*

This app and system is so helpful when things get backed up and you need to get back on track. I tried it for the first time, and it was simple and effective. Clothes came back in neat organized folded piles, but unfortunately mine smelled a little like smoke or cigarettes which is very off putting for me. I wonder if there’s another laundry pro around me to try. Other than the odor, would have been 100% perfection!

### 1/5 — $38 for Late, Dirty, and Incomplete Laundry

*2026-06-10, version 4.45.1*

June 2026 order: laundry returned late, wrinkled, and with foundation-stained towels. 7 items missing entirely. Customer service quoted 30–45 day investigations while their own app says 5 days. Chat agents used the wrong name and refused supervisor escalation. BBB complaint filed.

### 1/5 — Do Not Use!

*2026-06-08, version 4.44.0*

Wildly inconsistent. Got other peoples clothes and was missing some of mine. Clothes smell like cigs. The AI customer service rep refuses to give refunds.

### 1/5 — I give them my every information they ask me to pay 4$ for my background check I never I have access

*2026-06-06, version 4.44.0*

For do nothing I think it’s a scam

### 1/5 — Missing Laundry for 24hrs - Support Not Concerned

*2026-06-05, version 4.44.0*

My clothes went missing for 24 hours. Laundry Pro says they were coming at 8am to grab it. Notice at 9am it’s still there, ok fine. 1pm it’s finally gone. Nothing registered in the app. 11pm still nothing but “will be picked up by 8pm”. Message “help” support and they essentially say man that sucks but will reach out to Pro for update. I message laundry pro and no response. Message again in the morning still nothing. Finally 7am (day laundry should be returned by 8pm) Laundry Pro says ‘oh there’s a glitch in the app but I have your laundry’ interesting that it would be around the same time someone would be waking up and see all the messages from the help support telling them to reach out to me. Communication is terrible with laundry pros. Support sucks.

### 1/5 — Subcontractors?!

*2026-06-05, version 4.44.0*

I have been using the service weekly for about 2 months. It is always the same persons name. (Smaller town, so figured we don’t have a lot of launderers.) But every time “Heather” picks up or drops off - it’s a different person. And sometimes there’s notes to me regarding something that will say “heather said only wash and fold, but if you’d like we can stain remove…” so it’s obviously NOT Heather all the time.

AI tells me that’s bc Poplin allows subcontracting. They don’t care if a launder signs up and then subcontracts out to a team of 10.

There’s something irky and scammy about being told a person is working your acct but really it could be anyone that person hires. Why can’t that person get their own account? Why does Poplin disclose this?

I have met a couple of the people when they were dropping off, and they smelled like smoke. Which does make me uncomfortable about my clothing being exposed to that. Does Poplin tell them not to smoke around your clothes? Does your launderer pass that info onto the subcontractors?

I also have a lot of clothes that I have washed dried and hung or just wash and hung to dry naturally. I provide the exact number of hangers needed to do this. On more than one occasion when I received my clothes back there have been unused hangers, which tipped me off that they didn’t actually hang up all the clothes they were supposed to hang up. I’ve also knowingly supplied 2 extra hangers and did not received them back. I was told that if you accidentally supplied more hangers than needed, they would always return the extras. But in this case they kept them.

Outside of that, I’ve only had one shirt that I believe they ruined. It was a white shirt and it came back slightly pink. I think they washed it with my husband‘s red silk shirt. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have separated red and white before washing.

Still going to keep using until I can find another more reliable service.

### 1/5 — You Get Other People’s Laundry

*2026-06-04, version 4.44.0*

Which means…..they get yours 🤮

### 1/5 — I wanted this to work

*2026-05-16, version 4.42.0*

I wanted to use this for a side gig but the app is all white 😟, i uninstalled and installed and still the same. Hopefully someone can help me.

### 2/5 — Fine until it’s not

*2026-05-15, version 4.41.0*

About a month ago, I put in an order with Poplin. I created a new order in the app, with special instructions about how I wanted my laundry separated when washed. Well, the app didn’t save my instructions. My laundry pro had no idea to follow these instructions, so it wasn’t her fault. I made this very clear when I reached out to Poplin, explained to them that I would need to now rewash all of my laundry at my expense, and now, a month later after a lot of words, they have promised to escalate this and make this right. They’ve done NOTHING of the sort.
So yeah the app works fine until you have special instructions and the app doesn’t save those instructions or pass them on to the person doing your laundry. The included insurance apparently doesn’t apply in the case of THEIR APP messing up my order. Their service will promise to get back to you and make things right and then not email back for a month.
TLDR:
Poplin is great until you need to reach out to them. Zero accountability or follow up communication when there’s an issue with the app.

### 1/5 — Stolen clothes

*2026-05-11, version 4.41.0*

They stole my clothes, customer service is a chat bot that says someone is contacting you by email but nothing gets done

### 1/5 — I weighed my laundry at 25lbs they charged me for 40.

*2026-05-10, version 4.41.0*

It’s in the title, I won’t be using them again.

Edit: Update, I asked them to delete my account and now they won’t delete my account and are holding my personal information hostage illegally.

### 4/5 — How can they vet, really?

*2026-05-07, version 4.40.0*

This has been such an awesome service for me, especially now that I have three small kids! The only gripe I now have is that my laundry has come back smelling very slightly of cigarette smoke two times now. That is two times too many for me. Customer service has been quick to respond and make it right, but I don’t want to keep complaining. It’s such a shame. I’m not sure how an app like this can really vet their pros. It may be they live with someone who smokes or transport the laundry in a car of someone who smokes… idk. It’s so convenient that I’m going to keep using it only with the pros I currently trust… Hopefully those bad experiences were just flukes…

### 1/5 — ruined my clothes.

*2026-05-05, version 4.40.0*

if i could rate a zero, i would. they ruined all of the clothes i sent in to get washed. washed all of the clothes together then tried to say my daughter must’ve left something in her pocket… when i go through her pockets every single night at bath time. i’m beyond agitated. i been with them 2.5 years and have used the same laundry pro for months… and in the end my clothes were damaged, and i learned convenience isn’t worth damage

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 4 days, no laundry, no answers

*2026-08-23, version 4.52.0*

Ordered a wash-and-fold through this app and it turned into a multi-day nightmare. My order was picked up ahead of schedule, and then never delivered. I was told (after two days of begging for updates) the contractors car had been towed, then a day later it had been towed with my clothes inside, then by the end of the week that there was no contact with the contractor and my order had been stolen.

Everytime I reach out (and I mean daily, sometimes hourly) I got a different AI bot response, which then sometimes went to an outsourced live chat, which then sometimes escalated to an email thread. Every one of those avenues had a repeated script of “your case is escalated and prioritized.” No one gave me a real timeline, no one could tell me what happens if a contractor steals your order. There’s no local backup, no phone support, and no one with authority to solve any problems or offer resolution.

Eventually, I had to build my own itemized list of everything lost (over $1,500 worth), and was told that the best they could do was $450 cash and a $50 credit if I signed a liability waiver which requires I never publically speak about the company or my experience with them.

If your order goes smoothly this app is probrably fine. But there is zero contingency plan if anything goes wrong and you’re fully at the mercy of whichever contractor you happen to get. I wouldn’t risk anything you actually care about.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-08-23, version 4.52.0*

I signed up excited to get help with laundry because it’s been hard to keep up with since having a baby. Four days in one week, including the weekend, I sign up to get it done. Basic service, no special requests, and every time it’s canceled because no one is available. All they do is send an email saying “this is really rare and we’re working on getting new people.” There’s no way to book ahead of time or see how many people are available, you just sign up and hope your order gets matched with someone that day. You can’t even give a window of time you’re willing to wait, you get a one day chance to get matched and if you don’t they just cancel it and you have to try again.

### 1/5 — Warning

*2026-08-18, version 4.52.0*

BE VERY CAREFUL. YOUR CLOTHES MIGHT NOT BE WASHED AND DRIED THE WAY THE APP SAYS.

### 1/5 — DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES BACK!

*2026-08-18, version 4.52.0*

I’ve been using Poplin for 4 years. I’ve loved it until my last order, when the Laundry Pro, Jabian, failed to return my comforter and 6 clothing items. They will not reimburse me for anything UNTIL I REPURCHASE ALL MY ITEMS! Their employee loses my clothes, I pay for him to not give me my clothes back, and I also have to pay for new clothes and a new blanket in order to get compensation. And if you don’t have the original receipt for every piece of clothing you give, good luck, they won’t do anything for you. DISGUSTING!!! Never using this app again!

### 1/5 — Horrible service

*2026-08-16, version 4.52.0*

I had credits on my account and now all of a sudden, when I go into my My Account account, even though I used it over the last couple months, it’s only showing me my account information from 2023. These guys that are on the chat are not even in the United States. They’re probably in the Middle East And they are of no help. I have used this app for a while and have had nothing but negative feedback except for one laundry pro. Most of the other laundry pros don’t follow any directions and compensation is never given.

### 1/5 — App hasnt worked in 3 yrs

*2026-08-05, version 4.51.0*

Ive used the service abt 15x over 3 years. On every use the app has stoped gunctioning. Once you place an order. This means you have no idea if your laundry is being picked up. Your "laundrypro" is also unable to reach you to clarify or accommodate any change. Ive never once used the site when i didnt have to uninstall and reinstall. The glitches arent due to ipdates either. I reinstall the app dirrctly from the apple App store.

### 1/5 — Don’t stand behind their service

*2026-08-04, version 4.51.0*

I wanted to love this service because the convenience is great, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. Several clothing items were lost during my laundry order. Poplin acknowledged that the items were lost, but required me to repurchase them before considering reimbursement. Unfortunately, several of my missing items were handmade, discontinued, or purchased internationally, making that impossible.

I reported the issue immediately, provided detailed descriptions and values, followed up multiple times over several weeks, and even sent a formal demand and executive escalation. Eventually, communication stopped entirely.

Losing clothing can happen with any laundry service. What matters is how a company responds when it does. In my experience, the lack of meaningful communication and resolution has been far more frustrating than the original mistake. I cannot recommend this service based on how my claim was handled.

### 1/5 — 40% Price Hike

*2026-07-07, version 4.47.0*

BEWARE! They just changed their rates per pound by 40% and it’s nowhere to be seen but the fine print. Same service, same laundry pro but 40% more expensive. And dismal customer service. No recovery efforts at all. Bye, Poplin!

### 1/5 — Warning For Elderly

*2026-07-07, version 4.47.0*

Poplin markets its laundry services to seniors, but Family should understand the limits before booking.

We disclosed on the intake form that the clothing contained urine and paid the additional $20 for the senior service services package.

The laundry belonged to my mom, who’s elderly, frail, with dementia.

After accepting the order, Poplin refused to clean the items and stated they do not handle that type of soiled laundry. Drop the laundry back on the door.

Afterward, we were blocked by the person handling the order, which made the situation even more frustrating and left us without a reasonable path to resolve the issue directly. And, our order was deleted on the app.

The “senior services” language is misleading.

Then, they charged us $20 for nothing. Zero services were performed. So, they stole $20 from a woman with dementia, who can’t tell you the time day.

Shame on you.

Families, caring for seniors need to reconsider using this service.

Very unprofessional company who chooses to market to seniors, but that’s a lie.

Just say no…

### 1/5 — Consistently Inconsistent

*2026-06-22, version 4.46.0*

First person canceled mid afternoon second person never showed up. No third chance. Will never use again.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Laundry's handled, now my husband and I can enjoy our busy lives together

*2026-08-23, version 4.52.0*

Poplin has been a lifesaver for our house. Our washer/dryer broke down right when work got busiest for my husband and I, and finding a laundromat that fit our schedule and budget was its own headache. Now laundry just gets handled, and we get that time back for work and each other. It's such a convenient life-saver. Totally worth the money.

### 5/5 — Complete Lifesaver - Affordable, Reliable, Professional, and Quick!

*2026-07-25, version 4.50.0*

My coworkers and I found ourselves in a pickle due to having to extend a work trip. We were completely out of clean clothes, and the hotel wanted $12-$20 per each SINGLE ITEM of clothing. Did a quick google search for laundry services, and Poplin came up. I couldn’t be happier with the service. The laundry pro was so communicative, on time, and did a wonderful job with our laundry! It came back smelling lovely, expertly folded, vacuum sealed, literally tied up with a bow. Thank you, Poplin! Customers for life!

### 5/5 — Great company

*2026-06-22, version 4.47.0*

I 100% refer them it’s such a big help as a single mom of 2 and any issues they respond fast

### 5/5 — Game Changer for Busy Families

*2026-04-27, version 4.39.0*

Poplin has completely taken laundry off my plate and I couldn’t be happier. The app is so easy to use — I set out my bags, added my instructions, and my Laundry Pro handled everything. My clothes came back the next day perfectly folded, fresh, and neatly packed. My Laundry Pro was communicative, on time, and followed every instruction I left. Honestly the time I’ve gotten back is priceless. If you’re a busy parent or just hate laundry, this is absolutely worth it. I’ve already booked my next order! #PoplinChangedMyLife
