I love the vintage look and feel to the book however, it froze three times, causing me to have to restart the app completely. Running a IPhone 8 with the most recent update so that isn’t the issue. It would have to be explained that the poem was written quite awhile ago and the graphics reflect that. I think as young as 4 years old may be appropriate--the parent must decide. But it can be read in different ways several times so worth the price. A nice gift maybe along with a big, nicely illustrated, hardcover version so they can continue to learn how to read, learn about poetry & storytelling, and thus, learn a bit about the evolution of the (English) written word. I can see where children would get carried away not in the story just making the sounds. I'd recommend reading a hard-cover version first; then on another night, as a treat, bring out this version! They'll be happily surprised! Nice, quality time before bed! Santa doesn't look like Santa. Just touching something to make it move isn't really enough.
