### 4/5 — Please update

*2018-02-02, version 1.0.0*

it is a great app and it would be nice if you updated it to Apple’s latest iOS that’s why only 4 stars but other than that it’s fine🤗🤗

### 4/5 — Easiest way to learn Hangul

*2017-09-09, version 1.0.0*

The cute and repetitive animation make learning letter sounds fast and easy. The section that teaches you HOW to pronounce these sounds are also extremely helpful. My husband is Korean American and is impressed with the app. I do wish it had MORE phrases and less K-pop band names...

### 4/5 — Good app; loud bg music

*2016-09-18, version 1.0.0*

Great app to learn some hangul, but the music is way to loud when you are trying to hear the pronunciations. Please include a volume control.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2016-03-15, version 1.0.0*

I love this app BUT the only complaint is the music volume is a bit too high it makes it hard to hear the sounds and words sometimes

### 4/5 — I Love It, But I Have One Suggestion

*2016-02-07, version 1.0.0*

While I absolutely love this app and think it's so high quality and helpful in my self-guided learning, it is quite annoying that there is no way to turn off the music that constantly plays in the background. It makes the pronunciation audio difficult to hear and focus on.

### 5/5 — Free and amazing

*2015-12-28, version 1.0.0*

Super at explaining at being easy for children

### 5/5 — Sara N

*2015-10-29, version 1.0.0*

The cutes APP ever and so helpful, It really lays everything out perfectly to help you master the Chinese Alphabet I love it!!

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful

*2015-10-19, version 1.0.0*

I dig everything about this app. The pronunciation guide is extremely helpful, as is the ability to strong sounds together (though I wish I could put my own sounds together instead of pre-decided ones).

My only complaint is the inability to turn off the accompanying music. But that's a minor concern for as much as this app helps me.

### 5/5 — I use it for my child too

*2015-10-01, version 1.0.0*

Excellent high quality app!

### 5/5 — :)

*2015-09-30, version 1.0.0*

This is one of THE Best apps I've found for learning how to pronounce Korean. I have ADHD, so for me it's very hard to remember and retain how to do certain things, but this makes ( at least ) learning Korean a little easier. Thank you. :) <3

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Needs to update for iOS11.

*2018-06-02, version 1.0.0*

I was enjoying this to help kickstart my Korean studies. Then, I updated my iPhone. That was months ago...considering deleting this and finding something that works on the go.

### 3/5 — Update!

*2018-05-19, version 1.0.0*

Please update for us I cannot use my iPad and i really wanna learn Korean because I am half korean and I want to know what my mom says

### 3/5 — Please please let me turn off the sound

*2016-09-29, version 1.0.0*

Thank you for your hard work making this free app for foreigners to learn Hangul. It would be be very useful if only I could turn off the music. I can't hear the person speaking well enough because the music is so loud. I ended up buying a different app (Korean letters) so that I could learn to read Korean as it was too difficult with the music.

### 4/5 — Excellent App for Learning and Teaching!

*2019-07-28, version 1.0.0*

I love this as a teacher! I only hope they develop the newer version that would allow us to install on iOS 12 devices ~! My students can no longer install this great App because there is no 32-bit version.

### 4/5 — Needs update

*2018-10-05, version 1.0.0*

It is a great app for pronunciation but only 4 stars because I can no longer open the app since the developer has not updated it.

*2018-03-16, version 1.0.0*

### 4/5 — I LOVE THIS!! But...

*2018-03-09, version 1.0.0*

I love this app for learning how to pronounce and read Hangul but I haven’t been able to use it lately because there hasn’t been an update available and it won’t allow me to use it. If there was an update I would still be using this app to help me with my pronunciation. PLEASE MAKE AN UPDATE!😢👌🏽💕

### 4/5 — Please update!

### 5/5 — A great app, but cant download it onto my new phone

*2020-02-08, version 1.0.0*

This app is so simple and efficient. I’m amazed something like this doesn’t exist for every language. Please update the iOS compatibility so i can download it onto my new phone!

### 5/5 — PLEASE UPDATE

I remember this being such a great useful app but it pains me that I can’t use it anymore. Please update both PopPopping apps so they can be used on the latest version of IOS!

### 5/5 — Please Update!

*2018-05-28, version 1.0.0*

I've been using this app to help with pronunciation and tongue placement. Now I can't even open the app because it doesn't work with iOS 11 😭 Please update! 🙏🏾 It's the most helpful reference for learning Hangul!

### 5/5 — Please update this to work on the 11 update!

*2017-11-24, version 1.0.0*

I can use it because it’s not up to date but I love it!

### 5/5 — UPDATE

*2017-06-05, version 1.0.0*

Pls update I want this app to be compatible with new models of the phone and software. Pls it's really good

### 5/5 — Great learning app

*2016-07-16, version 1.0.0*

Great app. I like that you can see exactly how letters are pronounced. However the music while enjoyable is to much and has no way to turn down or off. Also learning words and phrases was great but it messes up at the end and won't let you finish words. Is great for a beginner. Learning placement of syllables and why is not on there gives to short explanation. Really like app but not what mid-level learner like me needed.

### 5/5 — Love it, but...

*2016-04-03, version 1.0.0*

This app is extremely helpful. The little characters for the different sounds help me memorize them easily, and everything is just great. But I really wish that you could be able to either turn down the volume of the music or turn it off completely. It's difficult for me to hear the pronunciations afterwards, because the music is so loud compared to the voices. But other than that, this app is awesome. I 100% recommend it.

### 5/5 — I'm completely in love with this app❤️

*2016-02-06, version 1.0.0*

It has its cute sounds and letters and actually everything here is extremely cute😊 I wish it has more words💖

### 5/5 — Outstanding app!

*2015-12-30, version 1.0.0*

This app FAR exceeded my expectations. I am so blown away by this app. During the "Rhythm Hangul" I love that each individual character plays its sound when you pick it up, then when you create a Hangul word it plays what it sounds like. This app is really outstanding. It's very well done.
