Give core fans what they want!! ### 2/5 — Very little control *2026-06-05, version 1.13* This game is pretty old by now, so I know nothing is going to change about it. But I still have issues with it. The main problem is that the game just gives you very little control over anything. You don’t get to decide when to make a song, you don’t get to pick what it’ll sound like (other than the MP3 option), you don’t get to do anything other than change it’s name. You can’t do anything to improve your performances while they’re happening, you can’t control how your stats change. Important stats that affect song and performance quality often go down with no indication of why, and there’s no specific actions you can take like practice or training to improve them. Your boss will give you “tasks” to complete by a certain date, however these are usually to get a certain stat up to a specific level, or make a song at a certain quality. Since you can’t actually do anything to affect these things, you will often fail to achieve these and the consequence is being immediately fired and having your contract cancelled, taking you back to The Underground (the label you start on). Another consequence of this system is that the same can happen while you’re still AT The Underground which results in you being removed from the music industry entirely, which is a game over and deletes your character. Overall the game can feel really unsatisfying because there really isn’t much you can actually do. ### 4/5 — Deep Cut? *2026-04-28, version 1.13* You should totally remake this game. It’s really interesting and there’s definitely more that can be expanded on. This game still has potential.
