So I navigate through and find an article I want to read, and then app closes! And then I have to go through navigation, find article again, and app then closes again! Wait a day, and the previous target article opens fine, and it’s the next one you click that will make it close. It’s really frustrating. I love their Christmas gift guides, but going through and finding something good on list, only to navigate away to the store and have the app close on you when you try to navigate back, or repeatedly close when you are trying to access a an article, just isn’t worth the time and hassle. FYI that I have even tried deleting app and reinstalling, and have confirmed all updates, but still no improvement. I love this app so much. My only con is that it constantly crashes. It crashes after every 5 minutes. However for the past few months the app crashes when you click on an article. There hasn’t been an update released in a VERY long time. I couldn’t even see when the last update occurred. Had to delete for good because it’s unusable. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bad Company *2022-04-01, version 3.19* Everyone should know that Popsugar is aware they are featuring an article that has an abusive couple in it and that they are evidently okay with that. In one of their articles, they praise a notorious abuser and her relationship as “everything” and “a fairytale” when this claim couldn’t be further from the truth. I know the truth because, unfortunately, the victim is my sister. The regrettable relationship that Popsugar praises is an extremely abusive one that features screaming, name-calling, (suicide and violence) threats, intimidation, and commands for extreme isolation and control of the victim from friends and family. This relationship is incredibly volatile, toxic, and abusive. I implore Popsugar to do the right thing and pull their article that features the American brides wedding eloping to Iceland to make a stand against domestic violence. What’s even more disgusting is that I originally let Popsugar know this over a year ago, in addition to providing them with screenshoted evidence of the abuse, and they have failed to follow up with me or look more into it. I know there’s been a pandemic going on, but abuse is a serious issue and Popsugar has treated it as anything but. Dealing with my sister in an abusive relationship has been hard enough for my family, and Popsugars dismissive and insensitive response in which they are siding with my sister’s abuser is demoralizing at best. I tell everyone I know about Popsugar, their unacceptable journalism and conduct. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2021-02-02, version 3.19* This app used to be great. However, this has been my all time favorite blog and then app since its inception. I am so disappointed in the new format. Who has time to scroll through each category and then each story? This is supposed to be somewhat of an online magazine. With that in mind, no magazine forces you to look through every article to find something that you find interesting. Please bring back the old format with headlines and personalized feeds! Update: This app has improved in the best ways possible. I love the way that you can personalize content. I also really appreciate that the headlines have a sub category below which bring up similar content in that category. The ability to favorite stories is also wonderful. I genuinely like everything about this app. I find myself using this daily for everything from what’s in style to healthy recipes and work out routines. To see the transformation from a blog to a truly digital magazine has been amazing. I wish there were more platforms like this. Great job Popsugar!
