You'll find them in all sorts of flavors and with beautiful interfaces, many of them focusing on "simplicity." But without a robust notification system, they look more like lazy projects rather than productivity tools. Enter PopTask, a really nice task manager that combines simplicity and productivity quite well. It has a flexible and effective notification system with reminder options for whatever time is best for the user before tasks are due, and badge alerts for today and overdue tasks, an essential feature no task manager should be without, but that most lack.
