It is very glitchy. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-03-11, version 1.0.7* Can’t actually even log into the app it just says the current network is unavailable. My cats won’t use the little box anyway so guess it doesn’t really mater. I’ve wasted hours of my life trying to connect my litter box to the app. The app also stopped working while we were on vacation so the device went offline, so guess what wasn’t getting cleaned at all. Yep, that’s right our litter box. The company should be ashamed so sell a robot litter box for hundreds of dollars with such a horrible app, that prevents the box for functioning as advertised. It's pointless to let you view the instructions via the app when it's a PDF with tiny print and no ability to zoom in. ### 1/5 — Non-functioning App *2024-09-22, version 1.0.7* The app is totally useless as you cannot create an account to even allow you to utilize the app's features. App keeps requiring a verification code to setup a new account but you can't get a code without already having the account setup with a phone number. As well, there is no Contact info listed on their website, no Chat, no Technical Support. The FAQ's are video links that do not address the issue. After sending a request for assistance through Messenger, the response is an automated one providing another video link for connecting the box to WiFi, def not the issue. ### 3/5 — Box is great *2024-09-07, version 1.0.7* The app is unfortunately iffy. Good news is you technically only have to use it once to set up your machine. (Just don’t factory reset trying to fix anything or you will have to fix the settings). There was a significant bug with the machine not staying connected to the network, but a firmware update has fixed that. When it does work, the app provides information about how often it runs and lets you know when it is full and needs to be emptied. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-09-07, version 1.0.7* I’d give it -4 stars if I could. This app does not work and apparently it’s like this all the time. It will not connect to the corresponding equipment no matter how many times you reset the device, or remove and install the app. Why any business contracts with this is beyond me. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work at all *2026-08-17, version 1.0.7* I have run all trouble shooting possible. My litter box is brand new and pretty dang expensive too. It’s kind of sad they can’t make an app that works clearly by the reviews. No matter what I do the app will not register if the litter box ran or not. And on initial connection it actually froze the litter box up till I hard reset it. And it still won’t register in the app if and when it runs. It’s basically useless to have the app. ### 1/5 — A downhill battle with this app *2026-01-30, version 1.0.7* I like this litter box a lot, although I’ve had to replace the hinge that opens the back on more than one occasion because it’s held together with cheap plastic, but the app has been unbelievably unreliable during the only instance it needs to be functional. Connecting to the box. Since Apple updated iOS, the screen that connects the box to WiFi is no longer the correct screen. Add that with it doing the process over and over again only to get locked out of the app is insane. Not to mention this app hasn’t had any significant updates or fixes in YEARS, I’m at a loss. Feeling like this may be the time to jump ship to another robot if the thing I need to work the box doesn’t work at all. I have plenty of gripes with the box itself but this not working is like salt in the wound. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with new S7 *2025-12-10, version 1.0.7* Waiting on the update. When you are in the app it will not give or track your pet’s weight like it says it will. I’m not going to backup my phone, erase its data, and restore it as another reviewer did all to get one app (which sounds like it’s not very good anyway) to connect to my wifi. That’s ridiculous. The app is clunky, and very spotty, the notifications don’t work and the WiFi connection is extremely faulty. Every interaction with customer service has taken away a little hope for humanity over all. We bought the unit itself on Amazon with a warranty. Popur stopped selling on Amazon and are now refusing to honor my warranty (while actually asking me to pay MORE to get a working unit). It all feels like I got scammed and am now stuck with this giant piece of junk. I'll update this if things start going wrong. ### 5/5 — How to connect app to network *2025-02-27, version 1.0.7* Solved the app connecting to network issue: 1. Save phone backup, reset phone and erase all phone data 2. Restore phone backup 3. Redownload Popur app 4. Hold Popur reset button on litter box 10 sec until 3 beeps 5. Connect to 2.5 wifi network and bluetooth on 6. Sign in on app, it will allow you without the error message after phone reset and litter box reset 7. Login 2.5 wifi and pw in Popur app, then click popur local network under wifi list 8. App should be connected now as it was before, change custom settings ### 5/5 — Great *2023-11-15* I have no issues with connection to this box. I love the litter box I have 9 cats and have tried many. Yes could the app have better viewing options sure, but I get notifications while at work at home all the time. So in a household with 3 cats, thats 10+ per day. would be GREAT to choose to only receive “wastebin is full” notifications because you really dont see it buried in the other notifications. The app does what it needs to do and that’s it. You can switch on and off manual or automatic cleaning, you can track each pet with specific profile using their weight. I would like a weight unit toggle on the pets’ specific profiles so I don’t have to calculate their weight in kg from lbs, but that’s just being nit picky. ### 4/5 — App needs reset constantly *2024-04-12* Had the box for 3 months. Little buggy (like everything showing up in Chinese until I restarted), but overall does everything it says it will. And loving the machine itself! Just wish the part of the cycle when the flap is open was a lot shorter. 🤢 ### 4/5 — App connects to unit but no functions work *2023-07-08, version 1.0.5* I’m able to connect the app to the Popur unit but none of the functions such as changing the unit into manual mode, changing the wait timer or the display actually update the Popur unit. The app receives the correct incremented cycle count from the unit but no changes l make in the app ever make it into the unit. IPhone12 ios16.4.1. No idea what the firmware version on the unit is as the app will not let me perform a firmware update to check. So the app is useless apart from notifying me that the cat has used the Popur.
