### 4/5 — 10 year user and still love it

*2024-08-07, version 1.8.0*

I’ve had this app for 10 years and still haven’t find a good alternative. It’s beautiful and simple and all that I need. However, a lot of functions no longer work, eg. The csv export function. I wish the developer could fix it because I have 10 years of data in this app that I can’t backup.

### 4/5 — It’s working again!

*2024-03-24, version 1.8.0*

I will have to import the data I missed, but so glad to see this app working again!

### 4/5 — Crashing

*2023-01-11, version 1.7.8*

Hello I love this app and I always use it to tracks my weight, but after I update my iPhone to ios 16.2 (iPhone 12) when I try to open the app crash happens. Please could you update the app and fix this problem?

### 3/5 — LOLO76824

*2019-02-10, version 1.7.7*

The icons never appeared. It was easy to enter weight but the BMI was not as easy.

### 4/5 — Time of Measurement Not Recorded

*2019-01-13, version 1.7.7*

Easy to use but time of measurement not recorded. Lists time as 11:59 PM when transferred to Apple's Health app.

### 4/5 — Simple and beautifully executed

*2017-05-25, version 1.7.7*

I have tried several different apps to track not just weight but body fat percentage, and this is the nicest one yet. I kind of wish it would give me the option to track other measurements, too, such as waist circumference, but at the same time I acknowledge that the simplicity is a part of the beauty of this app. One thing that does bug me a little is the fact that I can't seem to get it to connect with MyFitnessPal directly. It does connect to Apple Health, so you would think MFP would be able to then pick up the data that way, but no such luck so far.

### 4/5 — Very good, no frills grapher

*2017-03-12, version 1.7.7*

Exactly what I wanted, minus a graphic "big picture" view. Inputting weight history for 46 past days led to some fun and games trying to teach the app a weight out of the range it had already seen, but I got it. Calculates weight lost per time period automatically. 2 free color schemes, others $.99, perhaps a tad steep.

The graph presented is pinchable and expandable horizontally. Big picture, but I'd need to be 30 again to read the numbers pinched.

In trying to get the big picture view, I rotated to landscape but the app didn't. Ymmv on that one, I expect.
It's a free app, I shouldn't expect it to calculate BMI for me, I guess.
Much more useful and "at-a-glance" than my previous method-- a list...

### 4/5 — Good, but easy to improve

*2017-02-14, version 1.7.7*

I like the simplicity after using Fitbit. But please add ICloud sync between devices.

### 3/5 — Pop Weight

*2017-01-14, version 1.7.7*

I was disappointed, that when I turned the phone to view in the landscape orientation, the app stayed in portrait mode. When there are maybe a month of data points, it would be very handy to see them in landscape mode.

### 3/5 — Not accurate

*2016-05-26, version 1.7.1*

A body fat measurement based solely on weight/height is flawed. The app may have been more accurate to have had a body mass index (bmi) instead.

### 3/5 — Flawed calculations

*2016-02-03, version 1.7*

This app has potential, but the calculations are fundamentally wrong. In calculating the number of days that you have been tracking the app incorrectly counts your first day. This causes the following calculations to all be incorrect: average weight change per day, rate of weight loss per week, days to target.

I reported this to the developer a month ago and they conceded that I was right, but since it has been over 14 months since the last update, I'm not optimistic that the defect will be addressed.

### 4/5 — Export to CSV File doesn't work

*2015-10-14, version 1.7*

Please get it fixed in the next version.

### 5/5 — Great for bulk import / export

*2015-09-26, version 1.7*

Worked perfectly for getting a bunch of Numbers-recorded data into HealthKit. I did massage the CSV out of Numbers a little, to make it exactly follow the example format that the app provides, though I'm not sure how necessary that actually was.

Just a usage tip: once you've imported the CSV data into the app, you'll need to explicitly tell the app to sync that into HealthKit, via the "Copy to Health" button in the "Apple Health" subsection of the app's settings.

### 4/5 — Pretty nice

*2015-06-16, version 1.7*

I like it, but I wish I could use it in landscape as well as portrait. I like to stare at my current progress to visualize my future progress. Sounds silly, but visualizing my goals helps me stay motivated. Landscape would simply show more of the graph without scrunching it up.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No import from Apple Health

*2018-05-11, version 1.7.7*

Useless for me since the app doesn't read apple health data like weight.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-03-03, version 1.7.7*

To start working with you need to pay more than if you once would buy another app.

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2014-01-31, version 1.4*

Love that you can track body fat % in addition to weight, but this app still needs a lot of work.

Despite the update, I still cannot import my csv data from TrueWeight. I've tried using weight in grams (default export from True Weight), Kg and pounds. Nothing worked

I also hate the sliding scale. My first weight measurement took at least 5 minutes to enter because the scale began around 60lbs and would only go up by ~4 pounds each time I moved the slider up. Having a duel slider/keyboard functionality, at least for the first measurements, would be helpful.

I also hate that you can't see any more than a few days of data without having to scroll left or right. In this regard, TrueWeight is far superior.

### 2/5 — I loved this app!

*2023-12-03*

Now it won’t let me enter data 😩

### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2019-06-19, version 1.7.7*

Make a mistake and there is no edit button

### 2/5 — No import from Health

*2018-02-07, version 1.7.7*

You cannot import data directly from Apple’s Health. You can only push data to it.

### 2/5 — Critical Error

*2017-01-16, version 1.7.7*

The app is missing a way to add an old date. totally stupid thing to skip.

### 2/5 — Nice idea, poor execution

*2014-08-02, version 1.6*

Looks good but:
1. Limited range of weight adjusment. It started me at 148, which I'm not) and wont let me adjust more than +/- 1 pound.
2. Can't import .csv file as claimed.

### 2/5 — Import error

*2014-05-03, version 1.5*

Imported csv data but nothing happens.

### 2/5 — Don't waste your money

*2013-03-10, version 1.3*

The "drag and drop" feature to set the weight would only work to a certain weight (not my weight) and then stopped working and wouldn't let me drag it any higher. Couldn't even set one weight. Pathetic.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2021-04-18, version 1.7.7*

I’m so glad this app is back! My record says I’m using this app for 2,029 days. It is the most simple and effective way of control your weight. Weight control starts with awareness. And no need for expensive fancy scales...

### 5/5 — can not upload to apple health

*2018-09-18, version 1.7.7*

suddenly can not upload to apple health anymore

### 5/5 — Perfect. Simple.

*2018-07-26, version 1.7.7*

Exactly what I wanted! Quickly put in your weight and be able to track previous ones simply and fast. Would love iPhone X support though.

### 5/5 — Nice and UX is nice

*2017-11-04, version 1.7.7*

Very usable. Please add the feature to set a reminder to enter the weight. Keep developing!

### 5/5 — Been using for 4 years and counting

*2017-04-28, version 1.7*

I have been using this app for almost 4 years and I have not lost any data. I had data on two devices and I was able to import one set of data into the other without a problem.
The app is simple and doesn't have many features, but it does what it does very well.

### 5/5 — Great, simple app with export

*2017-03-18, version 1.7.7*

This is exactly what I was looking for: a simple app that connects to other apps and exports data files.

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2017-02-14, version 1.7.7*

Simple and easy to use. Delightful design. Excellent app for tracking weight over time and pushing to HealthKit.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2016-09-08, version 1.7.6*

Been using it for nearly a year and no complaints. Works well, informative graphs and stats, look good, especially on night mode.

### 5/5 — The best weight tracking app

*2016-04-27, version 1.7.1*

I've been using this app for over a year now and it's definitely a mile ahead of other weight tracking apps. I think the simplicity and the focus in the statistics window is what sells it. No fuss and does the job extremely well

### 5/5 — Great, Lightweight App

*2015-10-09, version 1.7*

This is a great, simple app to use to keep track of your body fat % and weight.
One thing I would add to make this app better is the ability to create a small note on the date you add your weight/body fat %. When you gain or lose weight, it would be nice to note what you did differently that day so that you can refer back to it in the future.
