Poqi CO UP PHAN CHESS — dark Xiangqi where a flipped piece can BETRAY you!

Poqi Co Up Phan (dark chess / flip chess) is the most thrilling Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) variant: every piece starts face-down, so you never know what you're moving until you flip it — and it might switch to your opponent's side! Every match is a gamble; no two games are the same.

NEVER PLAYED CHINESE CHESS? LEARN IN 1 MINUTE! A built-in tutorial (video + visuals) teaches you as you play. All the basics:

GOAL Checkmate or capture your opponent's General to WIN. Lose your General and you lose.

HOW THE PIECES MOVE (16 per side) • General (帥/將): one step orthogonally — your most important piece. • Advisor (仕/士): moves diagonally. In Coup Phan it roams diagonally across the WHOLE board, not locked in the palace. • Elephant (相/象): two-step diagonal. In Coup Phan it MAY cross the river. • Horse (傌/馬): an L-shape (one straight + one diagonal), can be blocked. • Chariot (俥/車): straight lines any distance, captures what it meets. • Cannon (炮/砲): moves like the Chariot, but captures by jumping exactly ONE piece. • Soldier (兵/卒): one step forward; moves sideways after crossing the river.

THE TWIST — THE "FLIP" MECHANIC

At the start every piece is face-down; only the two Generals show. You don't know any piece — not even your own.
A hidden piece moves by its starting square's role; only after it moves is it flipped to reveal its true identity.
BETRAYAL: a flipped piece may belong to your OPPONENT → it instantly switches to their side! Revealing a piece is a gamble.
Hidden pieces can be captured by anything; revealed pieces capture by Xiangqi rules.
GAME MODES • vs AI in 3 levels: Easy / Medium / Hard — play offline, no internet needed. • Local 2-player on one device. • Real-time online matchmaking — always someone to play. • Add friends and invite them to a match.
