The app crashes every time I try to export a video, it isn’t synchronising the graphics overlay onto the video when playing (steering wheel angle, brake, throttle etc.)

Die App ist einfach zu bedienen und bietet die Möglichkeit externe Kameras und GPS-Empfänger anzuschließen. Auch das erzeugte Overlay ist hilfreich genauso wie die Analysemöglichkeuten in der App. Was ich mir wünschen würde, wäre 4K/60 fps-Support! Das wäre wirklich klasse! Zudem könnten unterschiedliche Designs für das Overlay oder eine Möglichkeit zur Konfiguration des Overlays die App noch aufwerten.

Really disappointed at how bad this app is, never loads properly, constantly asking for setup even after just setting it up, works once out of 5 tried and then suddenly stops working during a session so never get to log a session. Will move away from this to a garmin catalyst. Damn Porsche you guys need to make this app better.

I have the Porsche branded dashcams (installed by Porsche) and I can never get the track app to connect.

The dashcams work fine, they just don’t work with the app.  The whole reason I bought the Porsche cams was for this app.

The app looks like it would be cool, if it worked…

I’m frustrated and disappointed by this app. It has potential for being useful as an analysis tool, but 50% of the time in Free Drive mode I get the Recording Too Short error message when I finish recording the session (and it’s definitely not too short). I’ve tried to eliminate all factors by putting my phone in airplane mode, using the app on the phone vs CarPlay, and plugging the phone in to eliminate WiFi drops. Same result. What a shame.

Die App macht mir sehr viel Spaß dir Analysen damit fallen einem deutlich einfacher. Leider wird man recht häufig aus der App ausgeloggt und die Verbindung zum Auto gestaltet sich auch teilweise etwas schwieriger. Auch wünsche ich mir mehr Möglichkeiten, eine Strecke zu gestalten.

absolutely love the idea of this app. love the traces and video overlay. the only down side is it is very flaky connecting to car - very hit and miss. if they fix this it is 5 star all day long.

Was funktioniert: Verbindung zum Auto, Aufzeichnung der meisten Daten. Was nicht funktioniert: Daten zu Übersteuern/Untersteuern nicht vorhanden (982 GTS 4.0). Automatische Momente im Freedrive Modus sind völliger Quark. Kurvenpassagen mit quietschenden Reifen nimmt es nicht auf, aber die gerade Ortsdurchfahrt mit 50kmh. Außerdem waren selbst diese Videos beim nächsten Öffnen der App aus der Fahrt verschwunden, obwohl ich nichts gelöscht habe. „Manuelle Momente“ zur Aufzeichnung hat es einfach nicht aufgezeichnet. Die Bedienung ist auf dem iPad Pro super träge. Eingaben werden erst nach 1-3 Sekunden umgesetzt oder die App stürzt ab.

Die App ist klasse, wenn man sie erstmal mit dem Auto verbunden hat. Etwas schade ist, dass man nicht alle Kamerafunktionen nutzen kann. Insbesondere die Unterstützung von 4K60 fps wären ein echter Fortschritt!

This app is great in theory, but it’s extremely unstable, bombs out constantly, loses my recordings, and fails to pair its video recordings with the data recordings. Hard to believe this was written by a German company known for attention to detail because the quality control here is just nonexistent. I just spent two track days using it — out of 10 sessions it bombed out halfway through once (3 laps out of 12 captured), didn’t start recording once, recorded video (which could be seen under “video footage”) but didn’t pair it with my laps, and the last session everything seemed to work fine but after I got home it was completely gone from the app. I guess the moral of the story is to buy Porsche for its cars, not its software.

I was able to use this app once prior to iOS 18 to record an Autocross track day after much trial and error. Waking the course and building the track prior to a run works. But when you start your run nothing is recorded, even though the app detects the start and finish line. I had to manually start the the recording after the starting line. Since the iOS 18 update the app is pretty much unusable, crashes often and does not record video and or detect the starting line and finish lines. The app has also stopped showing up on the screen when using CarPlay, I tested this and it work prior to iOS 18. This app has the potential to be great, but the lack of support and QA is holding it back.

Used to work better before last two updates. Porsche seems to be prioritizing gameification of track driving, something I’m fairly certain no one asked for, and adding trophy gifs and graphics for arbitrary lap times and algorithmically calculated effort levels, both of which are obfuscated by corrupt data. The first 5 seconds of every lap are rife with data spikes (>300mph, >3g lateral forces) that ruin the rest of the recorded session. Cannot exit app while exporting video, which takes at least 30 minutes to reach ~18% and then crashes every single time anyway. I’ve been patiently paying my monthly subscription for 2 years in the hopes this would develop into a better product, but it is clear to me now that Porsche isn’t headed in that direction anytime soon.

I purchased a car with navigation package so I can use the app for data such as brake pressure and throttle. Unfortunately the apps works less than 10% of the time. Tried everything including Android, iOS, usb connection and wifi but nothing worked. It’s such an easy app to build, as an engineer I can definitely make this app work if Porsche allows the CAN data either through usb or wifi. PCNA hire a good software engineer.

leider ist diese Software auf dem 991.2 bzw. 992 im Zusammenspiel mit aktuellem iPhone oder iPad oder iBook NICHT funktionsfähig. Nur wenn die Software „Lust hat“ startet diese im Auto (gar nicht, eine Runde, ein paar Runden) und später ist KEINE Auswertung möglich. // 2 x im Porsche Zentrum Hamburg „Hilfe erhalten“ = Löschen und neu Aufspielen ==> KEINE Verbesserung. Somit Note 6

It’s one thing to spend hours and hours in my 992.1 911 Carrera S trying to get this to work or keep working but there is no dealer or Porsche support.   It’s a great free tool built into the car if only it worked.

I have PCM4.0 on 991.2 MY18, my app constantly drops out after no longer than 4 minutes and needs reconnecting to the car.

I tried emailing support in the app 2 times for help, with no reply.

I put my phone in flight mode, and I couldn’t find the menu to disable data sharing in pcm

Have tried this app twice now at Chuckwalla and despite everything connecting and good GPS signal, it’ll never actually start a lap. Tracks my car around the track using GPS without issue, but seems like it doesn’t know where the start/finish line is so you’ll never get lap data. Multiple Porsches using the app had the same issue this weekend.

Now the app works with my 992 GT3 in lap timer mode consistently. The trick is avoiding any interruptions on the phone: disable phone notifications using“do not disturb” mode; turn off PCM to disable multimedia buttons on the steering wheel. As long as the phone is not interrupted during the recording, video can be saved without problem.

Haven’t used free driving mode since I mainly use the app to collect data on track.

Toutes les vidéos ont été effacé depuis la dernière mise à jour !!!!
C’est vraiment pas sérieux ! Mieux vaut ne rien faire que de faire une application aussi instable, et qui aujourd’hui ne fonctionne plus du tout. Lamentable d’employer des gens à faire un aussi mauvais travail. 
Porsche fait de super voitures, malheureusement la technologie n’a jamais été leur point fort, au contraire.

The app has great functionality but is let down by very poor documentation which makes it hard to troubleshoot problems with different vehicle models, PCM (in car system) versions, dash cams and external cameras.  But when you get it working it’s awesome.

Finde die App Mega! Aktuell versuche ich den Rekord in meiner Klasse auf dem Nürburgring zu knacken… und dann der Track Precision App kann ich genau sehen wo ich mich verbessern kann!

I upgraded to 4.0.0 . On first run the DB was upgraded and now whenever I click on a Recording the app crashes. Please fix

### 5/5 — Update: 3.5.7 behebt das Problem; Leider mit 3.5.5 kein Carplay mehr im 992 GT3

Die App funktionierte bisher super. Echt toll gemacht. Leider funktioniert wird seit dem Update gestern auf Version 3.5.5 die App nicht mehr beim Carplay im 992 GT3 mit PCM 5.0 angezeigt. Carplay an sich funktioniert ohne Probleme. Auch die Verbindung der App und Aufzeichnung an sich funktioniert. Ich hab die App allerdings immer gerne mit Carplay direkt im PCM genutzt. Eine Neuinstallation sowie neues Koppeln des iPhones mit dem PCM hat leider nichts gebracht. Schade so gibts nur 3 Sterne. Wenn Carplay wieder geht hat die App auf jedenfall 5 Sterne verdient! 

Update mit Version 3.5.7: 
Mit dem Update auf Version 3.5.7 lässt sich die Track Precision App auch wieder im PCM mit Carplay öffnen. Das Problem wurde scheinbar wieder behoben. Top! Dann gibt es natürlich auch 5 Sterne, denn der Funktionsumfang ist wirklich genial 👍🏻

Leider gibt es von Porsche keine Lösung wie man das Handy an der Scheibe oder Rückspiegel anbringen kann. 
Der Halter bräuchte freie Sicht der Handyapp zur Rennstrecke um zu filmen.

Die Anzeige von Gaspedal und Bremse im video helfen mir sehr. Auf dem iPhone läuft die App perfekt. 

Die Übertragung aufs iPad funktioniert meistens. Bitte fixt noch folgende Meldung: ‚Aufzeichnung existiert bereits‘. Die mldg kommt obwohl die Session sich nicht auf dem iPad befindet! Ein übertrag vom iPhone aufs ipad ist für solch eine Session nicht möglich. Wie löse ich dieses Problem?
