Although there is some things i wish could be changed like the ability to edit clients appointments directly or showing everyone schedules more organized for the shop owner for the staff instead of having everyone schedules overlapping. Writting down everyone’s information especially for walk ins could be off putting at first but the extra step helps if your contributing to the marketing strategy. People complain about so little things and it can be hard but you can’t please everyone! This app is VERY effective overall!!! I would give 10 stars ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2025-04-04* I’ve been using this app for a over a year now. I keep the link in my bio where I reroute all of my clients to go to. I especially love how straight forward it is and it completely eliminates the same questions and motions we have to go through with clients; allowing me to focus on the drawing and less talking. If I could be a little nit picky, I wish there was a search bar at the top where I could search clients to see when their appointment is. I typically have to go day by day to find it. I’ve had clients complain about the fees they have to pay when receiving the checkout link but luckily there are other ways to record payment (Zelle, cash, etc) and still keep things organized within the app. Overall, I plan on keeping this platform; I’ve adapted quick and I love it! ### 5/5 — Love this app *2025-03-17, version 1.5.8* Makes booking tattoos so much easier!! This app has made it easier and cuts out all the extra works I did before like taking deposits, allows clients to pick dates/ see my schedule, collects all info and more all in one. There was a few things I needed to change/ customize based on my booking form needs but I just messaged the app support and set up a meeting with the creator/ceo to have things edited which really helped my booking process and info clients were about to add and see. This app is great for artist who do it all themselves and want a faster way to book appointments. ### 5/5 — Only platform I’ll use *2024-07-19* I’ve been tattooing for 10 years and now own my own shop with 9 artists. This has been a need in the industry for so long. I won’t ever use anything else! ### 5/5 — I’m never using anything else *2024-07-17, version 1.3.8* I know for some artists the phone number and email can be weird but if you look at a consent form, you have to put a whole lot more than just that. Also you can just put a phone number and it works just as well. It makes it easy to reach out to clients and reach out to make sure they have all the details without having to go through individually and make sure you’ve sent everything you needed to. It makes managing clients and upcoming projects so easy, I love how the calendar works and you can connect to any other calendar and never forget anything you have coming up again. I’m getting my whole studio to switch to this, it really was made for artists :) ### 5/5 — MUST HAVE FOR ARTISTS!!! *2023-06-03* This app is a life saver 💪🏽 saves me so much time and stress when dealing with bookings. It cuts all the extra back and forth out with the client and is super easy to use. Plus my clients say they love this way better than my old booking system so its a win win! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Do not use *2026-02-01, version 1.8.3* The developers aren’t listening to the actual users. We want phone numbers on the request form. It’s a mid app at best, but the things we really need they don’t care about. Do not download, do not give them money. ### 1/5 — Needs a ton of work *2025-10-27, version 1.7.7* Seems a lot more like a beta, most aspects of program are glitchy and unreliable. I’ve had large scale pieces done by some of the most famous shops in NYC and have never once been asked for my phone number. ### 3/5 — A good start *2026-01-29, version 1.8.3* Everything is pretty good. I can’t call the requests and discuss ideas tho. I want to manually set up the appointment after fully understanding the idea over the phone. Having all of the information would be nice. ### 3/5 — Could use improvement *2025-05-18, version 1.6.3* First, the app almost always calculates the percentage wrong while seperating money between the artist and studio. Gives the manager no option to choose the correct percentage for the transactions. Say you are working with 30% cut, it automatically calculates as 40% and you have to e-mail to support each time to send the rest of the money. Shouldn’t be difficult to make the artist/manager to choose the percentage while creating an appointment. We are this 🤏🏻 close to switch to another app. Second, no instant chat support within the app. And the support sometimes doesn’t even reply your emails. Third, gives you no customizing option for color/font etc. Orange seems unprofessional especially if you are going for sleek branding. At least make it all black, everyone is happy. ### 4/5 — Good but… *2025-08-08, version 1.7.1* The text boxes don’t expand or let you see what you’re typing out to your client besides a few words. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because there are some bugs and glitches, but I believe that most of them are improving. ### 5/5 — Flashover Ink *2026-07-22, version 2.0.0* This is the best and most inclusive software for tattoo shops out there. Makes it so much easier and I’m glad that I can communicate with people all through here. Customer support is also always on top of it and super helpful, especially when I switched to being an independent artist from a shop that used porter. There are several different ways to customize your setup. Devs are responsive and open to feedback. Shop/artist payment splits make payouts easy. Several more features make Porter awesome. It’s very user friendly for not just the artist but the client as well. Porter has made the booking process so much easier for me since I've become busier with tattooing. As I've been using this app, the developers have been consistently adding new features that make it so much easier for me to get all the information I need from a client. I once realized there wasn't an option to input pronouns, so I emailed their support team. I received a response within a day, and they had added a new section for clients to add their pronouns. I will say, the price-point is steep. However, for the customer service, constant improvements, and ease of booking appointments, I don't think there's an app out there that can compete.
