## What is Portionary Food Tracker?

Portionary is a food tracker for people who cook at home.

Log real portions in seconds, build recipes from the ingredients you actually use, and track calories, protein, fiber, carbs, sugar, and fat for each person in your household.

MADE FOR HOME-COOKED FOOD
Most food logs start with a database guess. Portionary lets you save your own ingredients and recipes, then scale nutrition by the portion you actually serve. If you weigh a finished recipe, Portionary uses that cooked weight so each slice, scoop, ounce, or gram reflects the real batch.

FAST LOGGING
Search a curated food catalog with whole foods ranked first, scan a barcode for packaged items, tap favorites and recents, or use a quick calorie estimate when you just need to get it logged.

HOUSEHOLD TARGETS
Create profiles for yourself and the people at your table. Each member gets their own calorie and macro targets, identity color, and daily log. Log the same food for another person in the same save when everyone is eating together.

RECIPES AND PANTRY
Save staples, custom ingredients, and reusable recipes. Build a recipe from raw ingredients, finished weight, or servings, then log the real portion later without digging through lookalikes.

PROGRESS WITHOUT NOISE
Review today, this week, and longer trends for calories, protein, meal timing, and budget days. Log weigh-ins to see how recent intake compares with your goal and forecast.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your household data lives on your phone. Portionary works without an account, and optional household sync uses a shared code when you want your own devices to stay in agreement.

No ads, no social feed, no exercise calories, no streak pressure. Portionary is for people who cook, portion, and want to know what is really on the plate.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-07-10

Progress, all in one place.

• A new Progress overview brings together your weigh ins, weight and
movement trends, and a weekly balance that shows how your week is
  tracking against your goal.
• Apple Health: Portionary can now read your steps and active energy to
recognize movement in your day summary. It only reads, everything stays
on your phone, and it never changes your calorie budget.
• Amount fields now understand simple math. Type 120+80 and it logs 200.
• Helpful tips appear right when a feature becomes useful.
• A native feel throughout: large titles, native search, and native
  dialogs.
• Weeks now start on the day your region uses.

Also fixed: keyboard overlap on the welcome screen, household QR links
opening the browser first, and more.
