Well worth a visit. The buildings are spectacular. So pleased to see that they are all listed buildings. The architect certainly made his point. I can’t recommend Portmeirion enough. We had an absolutely fabulous stay in early December. We stayed in Upper Pilot, a village suite and it was delightful. Newly refurbished, wonderfully comfortable and superb views across the estuary and parts of the village. When you step out of your room you are right there in the village. Food is excellent. Free transport on demand to get around if needed. Stunning location. Plenty to see and do. A gorgeous and interesting retreat. Network and WiFi coverage wasn’t great and this app is so useful. Couldn’t download on site easily ### 4/5 — Great but frustrating! *2024-07-03, version 1.2.0* I think the app is great but when exploring I chose the sort by ‘Near Me’ and it didn’t seem to work very well, hence only 4 stars. Please note it won’t stop me coming back. I love this place! ### 4/5 — Useful but battery hungry *2024-06-04, version 1.2.0* I used the app around the village to read and listen to the history. The spoken commentary is generally a subset of the written text but sometimes appears to contain unique information so I needed to read and listen to both for the whole story. I enabled location services and was surprised by the amount of battery that the app consumes - 44% today meaning my battery is nearly flat, an unusual occurrence for me.
