Where it does transform a photo into the look of a painting, you cannot get a natural look. All the colors come out harsh and severe. It is also brilliant when you apply it to landscape photos, producing, in a few seconds, what normally takes me hours of work in much more expensive apps. It is also absolutely stable, unlike some other apps I have used - it just never gets stuck or throws you out - it just works! I love both the realistic type portrait paintings, and also the ability to specify really bold colours, really long, thick bristly brush strokes and the ability to have the pictures without a canvas texture, so that you can print them onto canvas without the app canvas texture interfering with the image. It really is very, very good! I have motor neurone disease and this app helps me to be able to continue making paintings from my photos even though my coordination and muscle strength are very poor, so it has made me very happy. I don’t know if it always puts a little camera logo in the bottom right corner, but I prefer my pictures without that and use another app to remove it. ### 5/5 — Awesome *2020-06-13, version 1.17.12* This is amazing. ### 3/5 — Not quite what Is hoped for. *2020-05-06, version 1.17.12* Although I like the initial transformation, I am disappointed that when it says crop unwanted background, it only means cutting off the sides and top and bottom, not being able to actually crop round the picture. This app puts out some gorgeous results. Unlike many other enthusiasts, instead of Lightroom and Photoshop and Topaz, I use POLARR and do almost all of my post-processing on my iPad Pro. This app and its sister app called.... Simply HDR.....work wonders to bring out the diverse effects that I want to achieve be in any type of image, be it Landscape, portrait, still, wildlife etc.... I use A Canon 80D as my standard camera but use it on other cameras as well including my iPhone. I went to the Jix Pix website and read every detail about this before buying. It claims to have a skin smoother, to smooth out freckles, my family has freckles. Every skin imperfection is HIGHLY exaggerated. Freckles look like huge BLACK spots. Nothing like the demo pictures. This is the worse art painting program I own, and I own nine of them. Check out Paint It Now by Corel. It runs circles around this for 99 cents. This program doesn't do what it claims. If the skin smoother was there it might salvage something. As it is, it's not acceptable. Paid way too much, I am on an extremely limited budget. This was like throwing money in the trash. It will be removed from my iTouch ASAP!! I would like a refund. If a person buys something from a place of business, a store, they can get a refund. I feel ripped off!!l UPDATE: Now it has crashed repeatedly. I can't get to the other modes, styles, the "button doesn;t work! This has completly failed on me. I again went to the Jix Pix website, and it says definately says they have a skin smoother.
