Your counter keeps selling when the internet does not. POS SoftSolvIT runs your own Odoo point of sale as a real app on iPhone and iPad. If the connection drops, the server goes down, or the database becomes unreachable mid-sale, the till carries on from a complete local catalogue and syncs every order the moment it can reach Odoo again. WORKS OFFLINE, PROPERLY • Sell, take payment, print and refund with no network at all • Orders queue on the device and sync automatically on reconnect • "Wi-Fi connected" is not trusted: the app probes your Odoo server itself, so a dead uplink reads as offline instead of failing mid-sale • Order and session history fall back to this device's own records when the server is out of reach PRINT TO ANY NETWORK PRINTER, JUST WITH ITS IP • Add a printer by typing its IP address and port. No middleware, no vendor box, no cloud service. • As many printers as you need, 58 or 80 mm, with a test print • Copies per printer, 1 to 9, printed automatically at payment • Prep tickets routed by product category, so each station prints only what it makes, each with its own copy count • Receipt, gift receipt and prep layouts, your logo prepared for thermal paper, plus PDF share • The cash drawer opens on your rule: every order, cash only, or cash and mixed TABLES AND FLOOR PLAN • Take an order by tapping a table. ORDERS THAT OUTLIVE THE SESSION • Carry open orders into the next session when you close: they keep their items and take new numbers • Save for later, resume a parked draft, or pull another device's draft from Odoo • Live draft: an order is saved the instant it starts, and every edit re-saves it • An idle till holds no order at all, so empty zero-total orders never reach your session or your reports MONEY • Edit payments after validation (rights-gated): the order is marked EDITED and every change is logged • Split payment across methods, automatic change, exact-cent tenders • Service charge, pre-tax sale discount and global discount, with tax refunded proportionally to the correct accounts • Refund from history, partial or full, linked to the original lines so nothing is refunded twice • Cash in and cash out with a reason, written to Odoo as a statement line SELLING • Category grid, product search, and barcode scanning by camera or hardware scanner • Variants and combos, priced exactly as Odoo prices them • Price lists resolved on the device, so prices are right offline • Order types such as Dine In or Take Out, each with its own automatic service charge • Fractional quantities, per-line notes, line discount, manual price edit CONTROL AND REPORTS • Your Odoo rights decide who may discount, edit a price, delete a line, move cash, open a session or see the expected till • Cashier PINs, read from Odoo and re-read when they change • Z-report by payment method with full order detail; closing posts the accounting entry to Odoo, and a close that cannot post says so • Fully localised in English and Arabic with true RTL, light and dark themes, and help on every screen ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 6.3.1 (26) — 2026-09-05 NEW — EGYPTIAN TAX AUTHORITY eRECEIPTS • Report every sale to the ETA from the till itself, with your own credentials. Off until you turn it on, and SoftSolvit is not in that path. • The QR code and the receipt UUID print on the customer's receipt, so the sale can be looked up. • Returns are linked to the original sale, corrections re-issue without breaking the receipt chain, and anything that cannot be sent at once is queued and retried. • An administrator-only setup section, with a check that names exactly what would stop a receipt before a sale runs into it. • A test run against ETA's pre-production environment, so you can prove your setup with one of your own products. COMBO TAX — PLEASE READ • Combos were being sold, printed and filed with no tax at all. In Odoo the tax lives on the component products, and the app was not applying it. Each option now carries its own tax, so a combo charges exactly what Odoo charges — which means combo totals rise by the tax that was missing. TABLE SERVICE AND RESTAURANTS • A floor plan on the selling screen: take an order by tapping a table instead of starting from the products. Floors and tables are drawn from the app and saved on your Odoo server. • Several bills on one table, tables combined and uncombined, a bill merged into another or transferred to another table. • Two tills can work the same floor. Each sees what the other is doing, and a bill is handed over rather than duplicated. • Table bookings that ask whether the party has arrived before they are cleared. • Service modes such as Dine In or Take Out, each with its own automatic service charge, and a close report split by mode. WHO CAN DO WHAT • Discounts, price edits, line deletions, cash movements, opening a session and seeing the expected till are each gated by the signed-in user's own Odoo rights. • Cashier PINs are re-read from Odoo, so a PIN changed on the server is honoured straight away. • Each till can be given a name of its own, kept unique across your store. • A first-run screen states what the app collects, and what we owe you, before anyone signs in. RELIABILITY • A customer typed while offline is no longer wiped by the next catalogue sync, which used to leave their orders stuck and the session unclosable. • A refunded order stays refunded. A fully refunded order cannot be refunded again, and a refund taken offline is counted correctly when it reaches Odoo. • Order and session history fall back to this device's own records when your server is out of reach. • Moving between Wi-Fi and mobile data no longer strands a till offline. • A session closed on another device, or an order claimed by another cashier, is reported plainly instead of failing mid-sale. • Two full-screen notices that could leave an iPad stuck now return you to the login screen as they should.
