No bank support for my bank, this app asked for personal info it doesn’t need before they even link to your bank (if your bank is obscure enough to make their list of banks). Stay away. Don’t download, tell the retailer, “no, I refuse to use Hypur.” ### 3/5 — Just use the web *2022-02-01, version 1.2.2* Like others I came to Hypur through grassdoor. I didn’t even realize there was an app. When I signed up through grassdoor it did everything through the Hypur website. Not the app. When I order on the grassdoor site it sends me through a middleware site for Hypur and I just have to enter my 4 digit security code. I use it almost every purchase. And just so you know the website isn’t much better. Every time I check out it says there was an error or it was declined by Hypur but then I get the order confirmation from grassdoor and it debits my account same day. The site and the middleware page are both encrypted at least. ### 2/5 — Cumbersome UX *2022-01-06, version 1.2.2* Love the idea, but the development of this app is severely lacking polish. As others have mentioned, the app can be slow or downright just not work. This is scary when you’re dealing with money—won’t be using until these issues have been addressed. ### 1/5 — Not Functional *2022-01-05, version 1.2.2* Just a terrible app from start to finish. When I clicked the button to add bank account during account setup, nothing happened. So I restarted the app: now the password I just selected doesn’t work. And when I request to reset it; an email never comes. This app would’ve been kind of neat in like 1998, but isn’t anywhere close to normal modern standards. Go back to the drawing board. ### 1/5 — Wants your bank login info *2022-01-05, version 1.2.2* It wants the login info (username and password) for your bank account. This is incredibly intrusive and shouldn’t be given out. It doesn’t even give you the option of just putting in your account and routing number. Don’t use it. ### 1/5 — Takes too long to pull from bank *2021-12-31, version 1.2.2* I really enjoy this option but it takes WAY TOO long to pull funds from my account after use. I will no longer use until there’s an update with a quicker response time from Hypur to my bank. ### 2/5 — Works until it doesn’t *2021-12-24, version 1.2.1* Just had to walk away with nothing from the dispensary bc the app stopped working randomly. ### 1/5 — Terrible experience *2021-12-13, version 1.2.1* I paid through the app, got a receipt with a verification code, and they said I had to pay again and that it didn’t go through. No way am I paying twice. Very bad app if you can’t keep track of payments on your end yet still send me receipts. I hope not to see any withdrawals from my bank from the next few days as I asked for a refund. Customer service told me to to send the receipt to a support email then hung up on me. The whole thing smells very fishy and scammy. ### 1/5 — Shockingly bad app *2021-12-12, version 1.2.1* I’ve had all the same issues as other people . This is an incredibly poorly written app, and now I regret giving them my bank information . I tried to chat but it was so slow (like the app) I gave up . No I won’t cal you - fix the app! ### 1/5 — Wow. Could it be worse? *2021-12-12, version 1.2.1* Took 3 tries to create an account. Two more times to link checking account. Delivery showed up and after 3 attempts transaction didn’t go through. Kept getting error message saying “location service” needed to be on. It was. Delivery drive said the same thing. Bad service bad app. Don’t use it. ### 1/5 — STAY AWAY!!! *2021-10-17, version 1.2.1* I’ll just copy and paste the email I had to send this complete failure of a company: I placed an order at 12:30pm today that said it would deliver within 90 minutes. I then got a text saying you were experiencing delays and that you’d reach out with an update when my order was on its way. When I didn’t hear anything by 4:00pm I called the store and they said that you notified them that you were short a person but that someone would be there before closing to fulfill the delivery. I just called the store because I knew they were about to close and they said that you never showed up. AND they told me that they are closed tomorrow. Not only did you completely fail to deliver my meds. You didn’t even follow up to tell me that you weren’t going to. Wait, strike that. You just texted me 5 minutes after the store closed to tell me that you can’t deliver my order until Tuesday. This is completely unacceptable. Cancel my order. Refund my money immediately. Now, we will see how quickly they refund me. Will report back. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2021-09-22, version 1.2.1* This app never works ### 1/5 — Scam E-mails after signing up for Hypur *2021-08-27, version 1.2.1* I tried to sign up for Hypur this morning to pay for an order I placed on GrassDoor. I’m so nervous now because they asked all my personal information (including last 4 of my SSN)?!? When I tried to connect my bank (Wells Fargo) it said it was unable to make the connection, twice. I stopped messing with it at that point. Shortly after, I started to get several spam/phishing e-mails claiming to be Wells Fargo, but they are all being sent to the e-mail address I gave to Hypur, not the e-mail address I use with my actual Wells Fargo account. In addition, my spam call screener has intercepted way more calls from scam phone numbers than it usually does. Im 100% sure the events are all connected. Use at your own discretion. But I’m fairly confident they’re not legit. ### 1/5 — Unable to link *2021-08-20, version 1.2.1* Cannot link bank account. Weak. ### 1/5 — PAC never works *2021-07-30, version 1.2.1* For some reason you will have to enter your PAC code through another text after your payment. The link works only one time so if you lose connection or don’t have a solid connection then you can’t submit your payment. Who thought this was a good idea? ### 1/5 — Scam *2021-07-21, version 1.2.1* There’s no reason to ask for last 4 of social. This app is to steal your identity. ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2021-05-29, version 1.2.1* Holy cow what a pain in the butt this app has been. The responses to earlier concerns from others appear to blame others for the issues...”some financial institutions...blah blah; technology can sometimes be frustrating...yada yada” I’m contacting my merchant and recommending they include additional apps beside this one. My name has a hyphen my bank doesn’t recognize so for this they want me to send a copy of my ID and social security number - they must be crazy if they think anyone will bite at that. According to the app, I have no account linked despite my bank, confirming multiple times that the account had been linked. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m missing some money tomorrow; seems like a scam. ### 1/5 — Terrible App! *2023-06-29, version 1.2.2* The app freezes each time I try to connect my bank account! I thought getting set up with Hypur would be efficient. After I put in my bank info, it sent me a code, I confirmed the code on the app and it said I had a $300 limit on the bank account, then it Al of a sudden sent me another code for no reason. Everything wasn’t working and it kept saying my bank account was not linking and asked me phishing kind of questions and asking me to put in my social security in full. Sketchy, gave me weird vibes from the start, inefficient and a waste of storage on my phone. I have tried at least five times on different devices, but I keep on getting the “Something went wrong, please try again” message. I reached out to customer service after the first failed attempt and was instructed to try Safari incognito mode after clearing the cache. I did that and it still didn’t work! I reached out again and was literally told, “If the website isn’t working for you, it won’t work for me. I’ll let our IT team know.” Meanwhile, I’m awaiting a medical marijuana delivery and this is the only app they use to accept payment. 🙃 Please do better, this is absolutely ridiculous!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2022-04-23, version 1.2.2* This app is trash.
