### 3/5 — Great Features - terrible interface

*2025-10-22*

This has the potential to be a must-have app for artists: A digital mannequin which can set up and pose a figure, pick camera angles and lighting and use as a reference tool. But the interface design seems to be done by someone who has never seen an iPad app. No attempt whatsoever to adopt standard conventions or rational choices which mirror how artists might need to work. Posing is much too slow, would benefit from the option of an IK drag of end effectors. Draw modes should be some kind of modal pull down. Lots of features to love, but buried inside an interface which is as hostile as it is ugly.

### 4/5 — Great app... but

*2025-09-25, version 6.8.171*

This app has really helped me with drawing, but I wish there were more clothing options, especially shoes. I also wish there were animal options. nothing crazy, but a few would be nice, especially since I can't find any other app that has animals. but all in all great app I love it

### 4/5 — Great app

*2025-07-25, version 6.8.171*

I love this app. The Models are perfect, the only thing i criticize is the way you have to move the body to make a pose. It is very slow and not intuitive

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2025-06-30, version 6.8.171*

This app has tons of great features. The UI is a little bit dated and clunky compared to some of the other apps on here, but it’s mainly for generating references so there’s no need to be in it too much. Honestly if the dev would just add some IK (Inverse Kinematic) controls, I’d pay $10-20 for it one time fee. It’s pretty frustrating and slow to pose joint by joint sliding on one axis at a time.

### 4/5 — I would like to offer

*2025-05-09, version 6.8.171*

Everything is fine, but I want to be able to edit the body parts of the model, such as being thin but having a stomach or muscles, or being fat, not being ugly fat but being fat like a muscular person, including height, head shape, and body width and length. Or I can import my own clothing models, thanks.

### 3/5 — I was hoping

*2025-05-07, version 6.8.171*

I really like this app, but I was very disappointed to discover that there are only two full body outfits which don’t have that much difference and that I cannot change the color of any item…but I can change skin color AND the background color….

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2024-12-02*

I found this app useful, but I would love to see a couple of changes. Articulation of all joints should have the option of limiting movement to realistic skeletal boundaries. Also more full length basic loose clothing would be great to show creases with various poses. Otherwise great app.

### 4/5 — Is good, but could be better

*2024-11-09, version 6.8.171*

I would rate this app five stars, but I have a few personal suggestions and feedback. First, this is an excellent app for learning skeletal structure and creating poses. Although the pose mechanism felt a bit finicky at first, I grew to appreciate it because it allows me to fine-tune poses with precision. However, I find the user interface somewhat cluttered, though this is something I can overlook.

I would like to suggest a few features that I believe could enhance the app’s value. First, adding a way to scan poses from real-life images or gesture drawings to replicate on the model would be very useful. Additionally, the ability to import custom OBJ files and rigs would allow for more detailed clothing and complex poses using personal models.

As an artist who uses this app regularly for creating clear poses, I highly recommend it for the price. It performs exactly as advertised and works well on my iPad.

### 5/5 — Très bien

*2024-10-02*

Agréablement surpris par la qualité et les possibilités créatives de cette appli. Petit bémol: Je préférerais avoir des vêtements en add on que des armes :(

### 5/5 — Wow

*2024-08-26, version 6.8.171*

This app is so essential to my workflow currently, I even use this more than the 3D models from CSP! The many rendering feature & the face expressions are really great for drawing reference. Thank you!

### 4/5 — No Freehand Drawing Tools and Not compatible with Procreate

*2024-07-05, version 6.8.171*

Great app overall, but would love to be able to draw/paint on the models (not simply have pre-sketched designs/faces loaded). I thought I could accomplish this by simply saving an OBJ file and drawing in Procreate, but the transfer is not compatible. Bummer, big time.

### 3/5 — Improvements

*2024-07-05, version 6.8.171*

Try to make it to where instead of using the buttons to control the limbs/poses/angles… make it to where it’s as simple as using your finger or Apple Pencil to control the pose. If I want to make my pose into a punching motion, then I should be able to so with a few swipes of my finger or Apple Pencil in a matter of seconds. It takes way too long to even move a limb with the current mechanics. Hopefully in time this is something you guys are working towards.

### 4/5 — Good, But Missing Things That Could Make it Great

*2024-06-05, version 6.8.171*

TLDR: Good app for people who mostly draw men but it would be great if there were more model variety. If you mostly draw women I don’t think this app is for you. Not a great lighting system.

This app is definitely worth the money. The models are good and face posing is a game changer, as much as the facial expressions themselves are lacking. The ‘life’ pose skin is also awesome to use as a reference. Posing is unintuitive and more time consuming than apps that let you just drag limbs, but that is acceptable to me and I’ve gotten used to using it that way (just like photoshop and the like, it takes time getting used to but is worth it).

However, I wish there were more available preset poses or any preset hand poses. I wish there was a slider for body sizes rather than a preset- “normal, fat and muscular.” The female “normal” pose is too exaggerated in my opinion, especially in the chest area. It’s been unusable for me because of that. Honestly, if you only/mostly draw women, it’s NOT worth the money. I wish the model could handle poses with arms above the head (though all 3d model makers seem to struggle with that one). The lighting system is SUPER basic (I use a separate app entirely to reference light).

### 4/5 — takes too much time to pose

*2024-05-26, version 6.8.171*

Could you make something to pose the limbs faster? It takes too much time, also I appreciate the new updates, thanks for continuing updating the app

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-05-10, version 6.8.164*

Great app just wish there were more clothes and hairstyles

### 5/5 — Great Posing App

*2024-04-13, version 6.8.164*

I love this app to help me get perspective and posing ideas for my art, for my comics and illustrated magazines. I find it easy and simple to pose the figure the way I want it. The fact that you can also pose the face is HUGE. You can make any expression you want. In future updates I’d like to see more stock poses that I can tweak saving me some time. Also I’d like to see more hair styles for the female model, and maybe a way to adjust individual body dimensions, like chest, waist, arms, etc. overall though, this has become my #1 posing app. Highly recommend for artists.

### 4/5 — Best pose tool ive used although i hope it cross saves through devices??

*2024-04-10, version 6.8.164*

Cross save feature plz

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-01-16, version 6.8.171*

This app is extremely unintuitive. I deleted it within minutes of buying it. I want a refund!

### 1/5 — Too much distortion

*2025-05-22*

Muscles get weird when trying to make a pose, at least add some sitting poses like meditation, because when I try to make that, hips are gone or thighs have weird creases

### 1/5 — WATERMARKS EVERY IMAGE

*2024-06-24, version 6.8.171*

PROS: Cool app, not too expensive, includes facial expressions. CONS: watermarks all output images, even worse, puts a copyright notice on the bottom of all images. All working artists should avoid this app like the plague, as you could be accused of intentionally removing a copyright notice on an image that is your creation to begin with.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money!

*2018-07-13, version 6..8.103*

Don’t waste your money! This app is very slow. Get Magic Poser instead. I also contacted the developer and he is not responding. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — Clunky

*2017-01-02, version 6.8.83*

Conceptually great, but very tedious and difficult to use interface. Can't recommend it- I deleted it.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2016-09-22, version 6.8.83*

The UI is really unintuitive and hard to use. Muscles deform to inhuman positions.

### 1/5 — overpriced

*2016-09-04*

I expected a bit more for that price. Clumsy handling, not intuitive at all, horrible interface. As for the posing, you would expect the joints working as physically possible and not just a 3D mesh that is deformable. Sorry guys, totally disappointing.

### 1/5 — Meh!

*2016-08-10, version 6.8.83*

Not quite flexible.

### 1/5 — Terrible interface

*2016-08-05, version 6.8.83*

Clunky, hard to use interface. No polish whatsoever. Low resolution, minimal features. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — CRASHES

*2016-03-18, version 6.8.76*

by Theophilus

One of the best, my favorite but after last update it crashes. It stayes in the middle of charging. No errase, no full charge. PLESE CORRECT THIS.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome tool with great features.

*2026-03-07, version 6.8.171*

This is an amazing app with rich features that don’t let you down. Just adding my plug for creating a more realistic muscle structure. The muscle skin is good, but a little blurry and flat. Could you create any volume to the muscles as well? It works as is but the muscles skin could be better suited for artistic anatomy. I am speaking as someone who teaches artistic anatomy. Anyways great work, and very satisfied with this purchase.

### 5/5 — 要是不穿模简直完美

*2026-01-06*

什么时候可以改善一下

### 5/5 — App Keeps Getting Better and Better

*2025-12-03, version 6.8.171*

I’ve had this app for close to a decade, maybe more; I’ve seen its evolution. It keeps getting better and better which leads me to believe the developer is actively invested in this app.

Pose 3D always comes through for me when I’m struggling with capturing a pose in a certain perspective.

### 5/5 — Asking for help

*2025-11-25*

How to delete pose loaded by myself

### 5/5 — Downloadable OBJ

*2025-04-02, version 6.8.171*

What a fantastic feature. I have always wanted a way to simplify my workflow with nomad sculpt. My one criticism is that I wish the posing interface was more like magic poser when using it on the iPad. Also if there was an option to apply a pose from a list of common poses that would be awesome.

I hope down the line you can also add sliders to edit the body shapes rather than stock options.

Anyways, this app is exactly what I needed so glad I saw an ad for it.

### 5/5 — Cool!

*2025-02-05, version 6.8.171*

### 5/5 — Add function

*2024-12-01, version 6.8.171*

Is it possible to add function that allows me to add my own character?

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2024-10-11, version 6.8.171*

Great model pose app and great control over models. Would love to have the ability to morph the models to give the custom body types. Also would like to have more hair and clothing options.
