I use this app a fair amount, and the issue with presets has been fixed. But I do have a question - what is the largest wav file sizes in your presets? I absolutely love having the ability to easily switch off quantization in stand-alone mode and feel it’s really important to have access to that feature when using it in AUM. ### 3/5 — Somewhat working in iOS 12 *2022-12-28, version 1.5.5* I upgraded my rating after deleting and reinstalling on iOS 12, I got some but not all functionality. Wave screen still does not completely work. ### 3/5 — Auv3 in GarageBand not working. *2022-05-20, version 1.5.3* Big fan of Harry Gohs apps but some auv3 issues in GarageBand - It won’t load as auv3. App completely crashes and won’t reload. Please explain /help or fix for great review- thank you ### 3/5 — Not working atm *2020-01-06, version 1.4.4* Seem to remember this was a good enough synth that I sort of neglected, then remembered but as of 06/01/20, it looks totally broken both as a standalone and as AU, no sound and very wonky GUI. I don't know what happened to Virsyn when their apps switched to AU but the overall implementation is truly awful as far as I'm concerned, which is a real shame because they still sound great. Apart from this one, which is currently undergoing a period of deadness. Only recommended for committed minimalists as it stands. ### 4/5 — Had to delete then reinstall on iOS 12 *2019-10-07, version 1.4.4* This app stopped working on iOS 12. deleting and reinstalling made it work again. ### 2/5 — Not all good *2019-04-05, version 1.4.2* Bought this for $11.00 which is still expensive considering there are better ones for less. Sequencer is the biggest issue, when syncing with Logic, I usually loop the track, well, when the track goes back to the beginning, Poseidon’s sequencer just stops. And what’s up with that colorful wave screen, totally useless as you can’t alter the wave of the presets. ### 4/5 — Sounds fantastic *2018-11-28, version 1.4.2* Very musical sounding for this class of synth, well chosen presets and comprehensive modulation and effects options. The arpeggiator is extremely powerful, however there’s a bug when saving my own arp preset causing the whole app to crash out. ### 3/5 — No manual *2018-05-01, version 1.4.0* Tera synth has a manual on the VirSyn site. There is none for this one. Unacceptable. ### 4/5 — Wish it was an Audio Unit *2017-12-22* This synth sounds nice but I probably wouldn't buy it again unless they made it into an audio unit. Life's too short for synths that don't save as part of a DAW session. ### 4/5 — Good potential *2017-06-11, version 1.2.0* After playing with this a little more I find it to be very expressive. Would be nice to hear the original wave dry and blend/mix/morph from that. Maybe its I’m on ios 15? This should be made to work before a customer buys it. No manual. I own CubeSynth, AddStation, AudioLayer, Teraverse, and Tera Pro. All work fine. I love them. But this thing appears to be abandonware. I’m getting tired of asking for refunds for apps that do not work. But that’s exactly what I plan to do. Sorry, Harry. Not overly technical like many other synth apps. This was a key reason why I bought it. I want to play music and maybe tweak sounds and there are enough controls to do that. Excellent assortment of presets that are categorized. The AU update was much appreciated (as are the others) as it’s so nice to be able to explore these classic (Vir)synths intuitively in the AU format (or standalone) and importantly it sounds really lush, deep, dynamic and full of otherworldly aquatic life! It’s remarkably easy to create your own sounds by importing from AudioShare. And you don’t need to know what your doing to make something beautiful. The midi implementation makes this a real standout, rock solid with GeoShred, midi guitar, and ChordPolyPad. A pleasure to use. ### 5/5 — There Are Controls? *2018-04-29, version 1.4.0* The developer didn’t have to make this into an AU, but they did. So they get some credit for that I added a star. ### 5/5 — Pure Awesome-ness! (Thanks for Bluetooth MIDI/audio!) *2017-12-25, version 1.3.0* VirSyn might be the best of the best when it comes to iPad synths. Poseidon is just incredible. Such a wide range of sounds, almost a bottomless canyon in this app alone. The advantage Poseidon might have over Tera synth is in the accessibility of the controls. They are all there right in front of you. And the Arpeggiator is great as usual. Please add Bluetooth support and i will give 6 stars for every app! :) Thank you very much. EDIT: THANKS FOR THE BLUETOOTH SUPPORT!!! :D ### 5/5 — VirSyn does it again, fantastic! *2017-01-11, version 1.1.1* WOW it has gorgeous sounds plus effects, and AudioBus compatibility. In some ways it's similar to Nave, but currently half the price! The one thing it needs is the ability to import samples. Maybe we'll get that in the first update? Nic ### 5/5 — Great synth easy to program *2016-09-28, version 1.1.1* There has been a comparison to Nave. This is a different take on the same concept. An interesting feature is a pair of dice which generates a set of waveforms randomly. Many of these are quite useful. Once you have a new set of waves, the instrument itself is very intuitive to program. Each are or feature brings up a second layer that can be used to program. I built four patches in five minutes.
